I haven't been on those rides since i was a kid. I was so sick after being on the big one in Blackpool uk it put me off for life never again. Glad everyone got off that safely. Thanks for the coverage 🙏🙏❤
They don't make things like they used to. These days, clothes fall apart quickly, poor quality phones and phone calls, amusement park rides that no longer work.
This ride gets stuck all the time! I would never go on this ride. But a lot of people don’t know that. I’m glad everyone is safe. I just think they should shut this ride down.
There are now regs in California. I recall Tom Torlakson of Antioch, CA, then an Assembly member, later State Senator and eventually California Superintendent of Public Instruction, working on amusement park safety issues after "12-year-old Joshua Smurphat of Sunnyvale was killed when he fell out of the Drop Zone ride at Paramount's Great America in Santa Clara." Sfgate, Aug 26 1999 "We're in the Dark Ages compared to the rest of the nation on our state oversight of the theme park industry," [Torlakson] said. "We're one of only a few states that do no regulation in this area. (And) we have the worst fatality rate in the nation."
😮 Scary 😮 So, hubby is an attorney, he has had too many scary, serious injury and death cases from amusement parks...and carnivals. I feel so bad for these people, I cant even imagine😢
Remember they put this enormously big teenager on one of these rides and the harness bar didn't click and he fell to his death in front of his friends?
I used to live down the road from Knotts Berry Farm...visited all the time. Too bad it changed so much. While growing up, I love it. Not the sa.e anymore
Knotts told the Fire Dept to stand down they would handle it "in house" and they did. However, the Fire Capt was among some of the people you saw on the ground just watching in case. ✌️
@@ZaaZaa-d2r The firemen are not trained on this piece of equipment or how it works. Conducting an aerial rescue of each rider from a ladder truck would be very slow and extremely dangerous. Having one trained ride mechanic bring the whole thing back down to the ground with everyone still in the restraints designed to keep them from falling out is the way to go. The firemen would agree.
The ones injuries were the 3 hanging upside down the longest on the top. The threat of blood clots with legs dangling on top of dehydration is a real possibility and not to be laughed at.
I'm hate it when I miss your channel but it's been a very day and will be a very busy week so now I'm catching up! Boots On The Ground JLR an Magnolia thank you for the update.
Amazed at the variety of topics you cover! Haven’t been there since ? 2016/7…don’t think this was there then but I stopped going on some of the crazier rides.
The two people who limped were with the woman too injured to get off and needed a wheelchair....I saw them all discussing what to do after they landed safely....FAKING INJURY.
My thoughts on this: With airplanes, trains, rides, bridges, buildings, and many other structures we built years ago, we are not that good at MAINTAINING or INSPECTING THEM! This is CRUCIAL to our wellbeing and we can't let this slide.
Yup. Lawsuits are going to start! I wonder how abruptly the ride stopped? Whiplash wont necessarily show up right away. So happy everyone seems to be OK❤ Iknow I would have to pee😂. Delayed problem solving skills, they better streamline that and bump their maintenance schedule up!
Used to go on some of those rides when I was younger, at local festivals and such. Stopped doing so after a few close calls. One was a ride which the catch came loose. Only thing keeping me in was the belt. We had a roller coaster ride that a girl stood up to catch her wig coming off and was beheaded by a low hanging iron crossbar. Equipment was second or third rate passed down from other carnivals, run by people who probably had little to no training…..
I've been on that ride before, yikes😮 I do ❤ KBF,all theme parks & rides! I was stuck on a ride at Six Flags before & all I got was a small discount at their gift shop,to buy dry clothes as I was drenched🫤

At least they are strapped in! My cousin, 2 Sisters and me, all real young got stuck on the Octopus, no seat belts and stopped with us leaned Back, We hung on for Dear life for about 30 minutes! Lucky my cousin was a little bigger and had her arms around us 2 younger ones, We also stuck our feet under some bars on the ride! It was so scarry!
Me and my hubby got stuck hanging upside down on the Harry Potter ride at Universal Studios in Orlando about 20 mins. No compensation given to us. Haven't been back since. No way !

They cranked the ride down
Everybody is safe. They got everybody off safely.
Thank Goodness. This ride, probably won't be around any longer....Can tgey use a lift, to get the people off the ride?
@christinecomstock-l3g No, it would be too dangerous.
Thank the Lord
@@Dorothy4Jesus❤
How did they get them off?
Could you imagine what it would be like if you needed to use the restroom 😢
Lol ..
I would have done shit myself. A little pee would be relaxing.

I visited Knott's Berry Farms in 2003. I absolutely loved it. It is crazy to see people stuck!!
OMG!! I would be having a meltdown! 🙏🏻
I would be calling a lawyer while stuck on the ride
Praying 🙏 for all those riders for their saving and safety.
I love Knotts berry farm.
They don't make things like they used to. These days, clothes fall apart quickly, poor quality phones and phone calls, amusement park rides that no longer work.

Oh believe me our ride broke down when I was about 7 and I am now 70!
Isn't our world a wild ride...right now!...🇺🇸🙏🤗✌
You said it perfectly.
at the least all of the people stuck on that ride should get a lifetime free pass too the park.
I said at least a Season pass! 😂
The riders are at risk of blood clots. (DVT).
Good point.
legs must be getting very numb
I'm so afraid of heights I can even watch 🥴
Same. I got anxiety looking at the riders tilted to one side. 😱
This ride gets stuck all the time! I would never go on this ride. But a lot of people don’t know that. I’m glad everyone is safe. I just think they should shut this ride down.
I think it’s a PTSD situation. Some people will never get on a ride EVER!
Knott's Berry Farm is in Buena Park, CA
I was in the third grade, and wrote a research paper on amusement rides safety in my state. I’m 60+, and there were N😢 REGULATIONS at all!!! 💥🚩🚩
Guess it was a short paper!! 🤗
@ , 😂😂😂😂😂
The Department of Agriculture oversees all amusement rides. Farmers doing the job engineers should be doing🤷

Completely different ride. That was a portable drop tower.

They made Knott's Berry farm jelly is what they are known for
Yes and funnel cake and chicken restaurant 👍
Fire Dept should have been called ASAP
The fire department doesn't know anything about how to safely evacuate a ride like this. The park does.

they were going the wrong way for the closest restroom.
Hello JLR and Magnolia! ❤❤🖐🖐 OMG!

Lucky they didn’t get upside down 🙃

Wow...Grew up going to Knotts, but not familiar, with this ride. This would be HORRIBLE...Some people on their sides?..UGH😮
I would be on the phone with a lawyer while stuck on this ride !
Better stuck than flipped off...😮
We are literally going there in two weeks. I grew up going there and have never heard of any issues but definitely makes me a little nervous

This is NOT the first time or second or third time they've had problems with riders getting stuck!! Crazy!!
At knotts?
Knotts Berry Farm is in Buena Park, CA, just North of Anaheim, CA
I think they need to get them off that crazy thing
That's why I never rode rides at a park. Also I get dizzy. So glad these folks got off.
Can you imagine how numb their legs and butts must be?? Those seats are not comfortable.
Walter Knott is credited with introducing and mass-marketing the boysenberry, a cross between a loganberry
Everybody hopped off that thing like their leg was asleep. That makes sense based on the angle
Oh my gosh! I'd have a heart attack!
Watching the replay ❤️

KBF,all theme parks &
