Welcome back to another stagey week in the life of Mickey Jo and Aeron James!
This week included the launch event of the upcoming West End musical, THE TIME TRAVELLER'S WIFE as well as press visits to GYPSY, THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, ASPECTS OF LOVE and ROSE. As a surprise extra treat, I also got to be an audience member for the taping of Hannah Waddingham's upcoming Apple TV plus Christmas Special at the London Coliseum!

I enjoyed going to Mercarto metropolitano for the first time last month before also going to Benjamin button! Great food and great show! 🎤🎼🧙🏻♀️👠
My best friend is living in London for the next few years. And I was able to visit her last summer and go to London for the first time. And I absolutely cracked up at your amazement of people lining up to take pictures in phone booths. Because I absolutely took that exact picture. And it’s one of my favorites from the trip!

I watched this show at the first showing of the world premiere in the Storyhouse Chester. The set, staging, how they do the time travel is so clever! and the music is beautiful. Also the start of act 2 scene with the projections is amazing!
Once again, I had such a great time hanging out with you all! You always make me smile the whole time! Dang, I bet I have to wait a long time to get the cast recording of "Time Traveler's Wife"! I loved the sampling!! Being in the US, I didn't know much about Hannah until Ted Lasso. I loved her from the first show. Seeing her on the Olivier Awards sealed it, she is the Queen! 🤩😍💘⚽🎭🥰

I'm going to the Southwark Playhouse Elephant tomorrow, my first time going to that new space so intrigued to see what it's like. Going to see Ride which I'm super excited for. I also can no longer hear or say the word sangria without going "bit of red wine, bit of fizzy pop" so thanks Mincemeat for that-I don't even like sangria! I'm both sceptical and intrigued by TTTW, I thought their songs at WEL were great (from the videos anyway) and I enjoyed reading the book, but I just think it's a really hard thing to adapt logistically and no adaptation has done it justice so far-anyway, I'll reserve judgement till I've seen it!
I won’t be able to get to London for Groundhog Day, so I’m really looking forward to hearing what you think!
What made me laugh is that just before the guy who plays Henry said 1996, I immediately went 1997 for the same reason - the music and movies of the 90s will never be surpassed!!!

I have to say the TTW music alone in clips gives me a deep sense of... upfront I forgot the exact word now LOL. Something narrative dissonance? I'm sure you know what I mean. And I'm sure the show will be reasonably lovely. It's just the clip that throws me off.
But I am curious, since you saw one of the lovely gentleman that may have changed my very Soul when I was in Middle School - Thank you very much Michael Ball - have you ever been a little tongue-tied and Starstruck, and with whom, when you encountered somebody in person? Who's your favorite person that you've met and who do you still want to meet if ever given the chance?

hannahs show was amazing, dont see anyone else make me feel christmassy in 20 something heat in a may. we dont just need hannah back on stage we need phil duntster too as hes also kick arse, rebecca and Jamie arguably the best ted lasso characters espically their arcs, win for the theatre people right there, as the queen said herself hire westend actors

I liked the music from TTW and I enjoyed the book when it first came out. The whole age thing still bugs me though.
I've never had the desire to see AoL except just to say I've seen it, kind of like the reason I went to the closing show for Bad Cinderella.
