- This beading tutorial is for a seed bead and miniduo bead pattern to make a bangle bracelet with instructions on how to size a bangle bracelet and also how to make a beaded tassel. ( Latcan )( Kuchu ) ( tzitzit )

SIZE 11 seed beads (mine are from Hobby Lobby/ Bead Breasures® 11/0 seed beads in GOLD)
Size 12 beading needle
Fireline 4 or 6 lb

Just finished this . Broke a few beads along the way but was able to finish it and I added tassel earrings that I did 8 mini duos in the beginning instead of the 4 to make them longer , with fringe that is 16 seed beads .. they came out so cute !! Thanks for a great tutorial !!

I went wild buying a bunch of mini duos and mini twin beads a few years ago, so this is perfect. I really like that you show how different size beads change the look because I frequently end up making things with smaller beads. In fact, because I want to do this pattern in gunmetal, I'll have to try it with size 15 seed beads because I don't have any in size 11.
Thank you, I think the gunmetal would look really great! Trying the size 15 instead of the size 11 sounds like fun, they might just make the bracelet more flexible and a little less stiff? Absolutely will work on the Tassel. You could always use a size 8 or more decorative bead at the top of the tassel, I bet the size 15 would slide through the middle. The bracelet can easily be made with Superduos, at 56 seconds into the video you can see examples using both Miniduos or Superduos, check it out for a quick visual. Hope this helps.

Wow. This would be great in jet black too. I think it would be easier for me to make the two bangles using double needle technique. The up, down and around confused me a bit.

did you use an elastic thread ? i mean even if you didnt, i think an elastic thread would be better as it would be much easier for the bangle to expand and slide without the risk of breaking.

I’m not familiar with an elastic that would be thin enough to work for this pattern.
If you have some thin elastic to experiment with just give it a try. Have fun with your beading projects. P.S. I’ve never had a problem with Fireline breaking in this pattern.

My threading looks wonky not straight - I’m using superduos (don’t have minis) can this be why?

The Superduos don’t sit quite as smooth as the Miniduos.
I made the pattern both ways and felt the difference was practically not noticeable (to me anyhow) BUT Miniduos do you work better in my opinion. I suggest not overtightening any of the steps as you go. Except when you’re zipping up the two strands and have the Center superduo connecting tight. Like I said I made the pattern with the Superduos also so I know it’s doable. If you watch the beginning of the video I point out which bracelets were made with a Superduos, maybe pause on that and take a close look at any visual difference. I’m not sure if this helps but I hope so. Any more questions feel free to ask and I’ll try to help.
It’s been one month I was looking for superduo tassels tutorial every where on RUclips but I found you on Pinterest. I wanted to make earrings with this design. I have one request When ever I make superduo mandala earring the shape of the circle doesn’t come same or if I try to make doom it’s become smaller and bigger for pair of earring. I know it’s because of the thread tension. I made so many pair but same issue is occurring again and again. Would you plz make video on my problem. I think it will help other beginners too. Oh my sisters birthday was on the 12. she left the earth when she was 26 and I 11. I so wish I could make this on for her.
I think this could be made as a beautiful memory, the tassels could incorporate her favorite color maybe with crystal at the ends?
Can I make it double to make it wider?
You can make more of the beginning strips and connect as many as you like together really, Enjoy and have fun beading.
How do you determine if the second bangle has the right number of beads before you close it and begin the zipping up step? One less mini duo? Same number?

@@TheLittleBeadingCloset I’ve finished the bracelet part, finished one tassel but I’ve misplaced the tube with more of the seed beads, so I have to wait for an order to arrive before I can finish it and earrings. So mad at myself! It’s going to be Beautiful though! I’ll post a photo eventually. Thanks for responding!

What would you suggest is a good measurement of thread for this project.?
Hi, If you could start with 6 feet for each side of the Bengal, It should give you enough to even finish the project. (Leave a good 12 to 14 inches of tail to finish the edge on the project) there are many great videos online on how to add thread to Beading Project , I personally have not made a general one yet. Wow, Your so kind. I really try to show close-up so it’s easy to see and try to stay in frame as much as possible, I really appreciate you noticing. I understand the conundrum between using a long length that start with or adding. But a good foot of that is going to be for the tail so you’re really only working with 5 feet?? Maybe that helps?

Hello if I want to do this with the super duo instead of the mini duo what change is there to it if any? 11/0 different size or number of 11/0 different? I have a lot of super duo's in Great colors I think I want to use.
Hi, Yes you can substitute the Superduo (see about 0:56 in the video) but no other changes are needed. It’s just personal preference and since you already have great colors of Superduo beads use those. As always I hope you have a beautiful day.
