If you have an olive undertone (especially olive but still fair) it's so hard to find a matching foundation. The warm tones are too yellow/orange, the cool tones too pink, and the neutral (depending on the brand) can look grayish. So mixing a bit of blue into the foundation if it's too yellow can help. Good tip. BTW, I found the new "Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear 235N" is great for fair olive skin tones. But it's quite pricey..but worth it because the texture is next level beautiful.
I haven't considered I may be a fair olive skin 😮 the fair foundation colors look too pink on me, and when I try to move up the spectrum, then it looks too yellow.
The new L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable foundation is supposed to have more shades for those with olive undertones because they use 6 pigments in their blend (red, yellow, blue, green, white and black) to create a better, more inclusive shade range. I've seen several creators on youtube who have harder to match skin tones find a shade that works for them. I'm sure it's not 100% foolproof, but it might be worth a look. I love the formula - looks beautiful on the skin and has great coverage. Good luck!
Yes, I have been using a blue mixer to do the same (light olive here). I have the revolution blue mixer but I wish I had known about the new elf one first! I just picked up the elf yellow corrector and the format is so convenient, and so nicely packaged.
I mix green primer in my foundations (currently using the Catrice no more red primer). The Smashbox studio skin foundation in 1.05 is another great fair olive shade! Wears well on combo/oily skin too.
The elf blue has changed the game for me! I'm very very neutral and a lot of brands still pull very warm on me. I can now use all the foundation I have that don't match my skin well. The yellow is also the best dark under eye shadows I have!
I didn’t know Rimmel went cruelty free! Can you do a video mentioning all the brands that recently went cruelty free? I definitely know CoverGirl did… but that was the last one I heard of… Didn’t know about Fenty and legit was wondering what was happening when you started talking about their products… now Rimmel? We need updates, please!!!!
The rimmel maxi blushes and the high’light is beautiful and you can go subtle or blinding. I also really love their lip liners. I really like the blush in the shade 3rd base and the highlighter in the shade stardust, and the lip liner in nude and rose addiction, Also you can’t go wrong with their OG stay matte powder. I also really like their bronzer too.
Hi Kelly, Hard Candy Hydrating primer is my all time favourite. I have one request. Could you please find me a dupe for Fenty Beauty Wattbrat Highlighter?
Hard Candy has been seriously stepping up their game and they’ve been duping high end brands left and right, major products, like the Milk grip primer with the hydrating grip primer and the smoothing primer in the elf putty primer packaging that dupes the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer. The list goes on and on
I used to love the Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara - haven’t tried it in almost a decade but it was supposed to have lash serum built in to condition your lashes as you wore it
My favorite drugstore-the cover girl stick concealer! I’ve tried other formulas, but I just keep going back to them. Also, the Wet n Wild Glass Correct! Such a pretty glowy finish.
I have been wanting to try all the new hard candy goodies and the new re-love (makeup revolution) stuff that’s like 2.98 My Walmart doesn’t have a very big makeup section so I tend to get stuff online or travel to another Walmart to get stuff.
Rimmel going cruelty-free is so good to hear! I've been wanting to try their Stay Matte Pressed Powder, Stay Matte Primer, and Natural Bronzer in Sunlight. I also want to pick up some Hard Candy products, specifically their new lip liners with attached brush and their face/off products (liquid blush, bronzer, and stick highlight)! Thankfully, I live within 30 minutes of 3 different Wal-marts...LOL
10:57 with Covergirl prices, I find that it depends on the store. I love their Clean Fresh Tinted lip balms, some stores have them for $4 something, some $6-$7, I have seen them as high as $10-$11 at grocery stores.
Congratulations on your partnership! I wish Peach and Lilly were available in the UK! I'd love to try them out! Also could you maybe review brands that are also available in Europe? Like Kiko, Catrice, Rimmel, Barry M etc?
I've used Rimmel's lipsticks since high school, they're so creamy and dramatic! "British Red" is a matte, BRIGHT red with "Ruby Flame" being darker and sparkly. "Peach Fuzz" is my perfect pinky nude, you'd probably like to try that one. It's got such a good shimmer!
I'm very pale and very -green- olive, so learning about colour theory and mixing my base has been such a game changer! Welcome to the dark side haha I like the l.a.girl foundation mixers well enough to finish using the ones I have now, but they can be a bit drying for me, so I'm keen to try the elf correctors in the future! The shade of blue seems nice for it, not too dark not too light and an actual blue
My holy grail liquid lipstick is Rimmel Provocalips. It is highly pigmented and lasts longer on my lips than high-end, $50+ lipsticks do. It does not feel sticky or drying when I wear it. If you decide to try it out, use olive oil or canola oil to remove it at the end of the day.
If you need a blue color corrector the LA girl mixing pigment is 1oz and has a pump! Its also only $8.99! t’s a holy grail for me. Being a light olive all I have to do is add some to my yellow foundations for a perfect match! (Yellow+blue=green)
the yummy gloss is a lot less sticky than the dior lip oils. i just bought the yummy gloss and i think i put wayyyy too much on because it’s always on the sides of my mouth, but i love piling it on
I love the Physician's Formula Organic Wear Dewy Highlighter Stick. I have the shade dew frost, but the other shade looks lovely as well. It's just a great, every day highlighter that isn't too intense. I actually wear it under my Elf Halo Glow setting powder, which is a great product as well - but not underrated
So exciting about Rim all! Their stay matte powder is the absolute best. I have creamy natural for the winter and Sandstorm for the summer. Translucent actually has a color to it. Amazon sells it. The bronzer and blushes are good too.
I have been loving the Wet and Wild Rose Comforting Lip Glosses. Reminds me of my Dior and Bobbi Brown Lip Tints but I actually like it better than those 😱😱😱 and it is $5 at CVS so probably cheaper at Walmart. Very shiny, hydrating and comfortable on the lips but doesn’t last just like the others.
I've been going through of my "throwback" products.. I forgot that Rimmel was even sold at Target and Ulta at one point... I had quite a few the lippies and face powders/bronzers, etc. I havent seen any stores around me in a while that carry it. I feel like hunting again lol
Emily Noel has sung the praises on Hard Candy recently. 🍬 I just ordered thr Elf peach corrector. 🍑 So glad Rimmell is cruelty free now. Awesome 👌 👏. Thanks for the heads up on these products. 😍😍
I hv idewcareclip oil, but I think it s not the same as Dior. After awhile, I find that idewcare dries my lip a little bit (ironic since it s lip oil), nice, but not as comfie as Dior.
The Covergirl lipgloss was how much? OMG! I live in Puerto Rico and usually products are way more expensive here comprares to the US and they are around 8 and some change here. It has to be a NY thing 😢 I love the Milani lip oils but the Covergirl is a gloss for sure.
I know you're on a powder no-buy right now, but eventually you really should try the Rimmel Stay Matte powder. It's just one of those beloved products from their line and it is so affordable. I've also heard good things about the Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation as well.
Interesting to know that Rimmel has gone cruelty free. Back in the day they used to have a holy grail lipliner called Eastend Snob (063), don't know if it still exists.
@@KellyGooch I looked at their website, and unfortunately it seems like they have reformulated their lipliners and people are not happy, many 1 star reviews. The shade still exists under a new name, eastend pink (the exxagerate line).
Great sponsorship!! Rimmel is available at Walgreens, so probably Duane Reade as well? The Scandaleyes eyeliner pencils are great - the black used to be a staple for me, and the gold one is calling to me. (There are some odd reviews out there saying the pencil couldn't be sharpened because the "wooden" part is plastic - I have never had a problem, and I used it for years.) I'm using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder right now in a vintage Stratton compact (I feel very fancy LOL) and it is great for touchups, but the shade range is abysmal and nearly inexcusable - a white girl should never be in Shade 4 of 8!! Not thrilled, but they seem to maybe be doing better with their more recent foundation releases? Ugh, perennial issue.
Omg finding out Rimmel has gone cruelty free has made my day!!
Right?! So exciting!
Saaame, I miss their lipsticks so much 😅

I use that foundation. Wait until their sales. Recently, Lancôme did a 30% sale.

Congrats on partnering with Peach & Lilly!! I love their products!
Thank you so much!
oh my goodness i love the idea of mixing in the blue to customize, such a great idea and I hate wasting products!
The elf blue has changed the game for me! I'm very very neutral and a lot of brands still pull very warm on me. I can now use all the foundation I have that don't match my skin well. The yellow is also the best dark under eye shadows I have!

After seeing Emily Noel’s Hard Candy review I bought two e/s sticks, two lipliners (with attached brush!) and their mascara. Can’t wait to try it all.
PSA the Lottie London lip masks are on sale right now for $3.97 at Ulta!
The Rimmel wonder swipe liner/shadows work as a great toper for eyeshadow. Especially the champagne one
Hard candy has been crushing it lately.
Yay for Rimmel! Now if we could just get L’Oréal, Maybelline and Revlon on board 😊
Xo

Girl you are GORGEOUS 😍 like sunshine
I've been loving the Hard Candy hydrating primer from your recommendation. And I wanna try the new liquid shadows.
The hydrating primer is fantastic!!
I really like the Rimmel powder foundation in the red packaging!
Rimmel lip liners are one of the best at the drugstore, you should try them now and also the stay matte pressed powder is soo good
I watch your videos because I know everything recommended will be cruelty free, while still recommending accessible brands!
Hi Kelly, Hard Candy Hydrating primer is my all time favourite. I have one request. Could you please find me a dupe for Fenty Beauty Wattbrat Highlighter?
The Rimnel bronzer, and stay matte pressed powder are my absolute faves.
Congratulations on partnering with Peach & Lily! 🌻💛🌻💛
The blue cc from elf looks cool

That Hard Candy Eye Def packaging was going hard for R.E.M. Beauty vibes!!
Your nails are always 🔥
Congrats on your partnership! I love the Peach & Lily Serum ❤
I really want to try some of the peach & lily products now! ❤
Let me know what you think!

I love that you buy cruelty free ❤
KELLY!! Hair is looking fabulous!!
Thank you!
I wish they would put the most on the 21 days it hasn't been on there yet and it's my favorite mist.
The mist is soooo good!
the rimmel wonder cloud matte liquid eyeshadows are amazing for a one and done eye look that lasts all day ✨
Your hair looks great!

That’s smart!!
congrats on your partnership. I really want to try more from Hardcandy
Rimmel eyeliners are great and they have a matte pressed powder I think you would like!
I love your videos. Almost always buy something you recommend. I got a set of the Lottie nails. Had them on a full week no problems.

I like the peach and lily glass skin veil mist. Very refreshing on the skin.

Hi! Long time viewer here. I just want to say how happy I am to see your channel growing! Going to hit 200K this year ;)
Aww thank you so much! I appreciate that!
I love Yummy gloss and it is under $10 at Walmart but Milani is totally better!!!
the yummy gloss is a lot less sticky than the dior lip oils. i just bought the yummy gloss and i think i put wayyyy too much on because it’s always on the sides of my mouth, but i love piling it on

Rimmel EastEnd Snob lip liner!!!! Such a nice shade. I can find it at Walgreens….really limited though.
the alliteration got me 😂
What’s your fave drugstore eyeshadow primer??
THANKS HUNNY ❤️👍
if max factor is cruelty free you should definitely try some of their products 😊

Could you review profusion’s new palette call metochrome (I believe)??? Or maybe do a full face of profusion?
THE BLUE COLOR CORRECTOR IS LIFE!! every single foundation is too yellow for me

Please do a hair tutorial 💜
I was going to pick up the elf camo corrector but ended up leaving it because I wasn't sure lol. Need to get later when I go to ulta with my mom 😊
I've never tried the Elf camo correcter, but I highly recommend color correctors in general. For $4, I'd say go for it!
@@DonnaDoveWinters yesss I'm considering it :)
Rimmel used to be at CVS but I noticed they were gone last time I went. Try Rite Aid! I’m in California but my Rite Aid still has Rimmel
Good to know. Thank you!

Whoohoo!!
I don't want a tinted overnight lip mask. It'll get on my pillow eventually.
