@@chapsteronetime2000 I did work the river alot before getting to the spot I showed starting at but I have to obviously limit what I show it was already a 30 minute video lol but yeah I try to be pretty thorough when covering water
@chapsteronetime2000 yeah I've landed fish in this spot a few times and where I was is usually the best spot to land them but that's also the biggest fish I've caught in that spot as well
I finally got tired of getting soaked through my rain jackets and purchased the Drift wading package and I'm so glad I did. One of the best investments I've made for fishing the waders are super comfortable and thick as well as the jacket no complaints. I've been able to stay out in bad conditions a lot longer now and stay totally dry.

Curious as to why people still float fish on a spinning reel instead of a baitcaster? Way easier to deal with your line and no opening and closing your bail?
Personal preference at the end of the day spinning reel is easier to manage for me cuz my ADHD brain tends to forget to adjust my dial when changing out gear however I did get a bait casting rod this last year and I plan to use it a little bit more but I have been using spinning reels since I was a kid and it's just what I feel comfortable with I also fly fish so I got all the techniques in the arsenal spinning reel is just my preference
I think its easier to cast a spinning reel in tighter situations. Especially when under over hanging trees and around brush. I use a bait caster on the river I fish in the summer but in the winter it's all spinning. It's also not hard at all to manage your line with a spinning rod. People make it out to be a bigger deal than it really is. I've been doing it for 15+ years and never felt it was an issue.
@@jameslasswell5821 I use clear float, regular slip floats and bobber dogging floats for beads I caught several fish last year bobber dogging from the bank but it does limit you by what kinda water u can fish with that set up vs a slip float for sure but I definitely catch them both ways last year I had two different days where I limited out bobber dogging from the bank
@@sam-68-56 was pretty easy to tell it was a hatchery as soon as it was in the net and if you noticed I tried my best to keep it in the water while handling it my adrenaline was going so I didn't exactly think about saying it was hatchery because I already planned to release it regardless so I was just trying to get a pic in the water and revive her and let her go as u can see from the thumbnail the picture was also taken with the fish in the water
@@OregonFishingAdventures dude that was a good fish. I caught one almost in that same spot that was 33"×17". Fish calculator put it at 12.2lbs. Ive also got a 32" and a 31.5" this year up there. Yeah it's nice when u got appropriate rain gear and waders I run paramount Outdoors Waders
I have a grundens and stlhd polyurethane rain jacket for that heavy downpour rain
I rocked the Paramount Deep Eddie Zip waders for 5 years and they are great waders for the price tag nice fish by the way.

@shawnbowen6833 do u mean managing your line on a casting reel?
Pro tip bobber dogging is a boat thing. Try dead drift current speed w a clear drift floats are the way man.

Maybe consider identifying if it's a wild or hatchery especially if you drag it around taking pics, etc.
