I started my trucking company with two high interest credit cards for 10k each and a semi truck worth 20k that I owned for 2 years prior to this. I bought a used dry van for 12k with 2,500 down off the credit cards. I paid my insurance down payment with credit card. I got plates with my credit card. Then I paid my last two months worth of bills at the house on credit cards. I went for broke. When I left to pull my first load under my own authority in 2015, I owed 20k on two credit cards, 9k on a used trailer, 20k on a used truck. I loaded my truck with all the tools I owned and was praying I don’t break down and if I do I can fix it myself and just by parts on a credit card. My first load I got , I had to get a fuel advance and prayed I didn’t break down or get a flat in route. I’m still in business today. Paid off truck, trailer, credit cards. Upgraded to a reefer this year. And restored my truck in the process. I own the same semi truck. I have invested over 50k in it in the last 3 years in service and repairs. Glad I checked the comments and seen this. My uncle and I are wanting to start a hotshot/dispatch/brokerage. We both have cdl's and clean driving records, he's getting older and wants to do more dispatch/brokering but still has some time left in the saddle. Thinking about grabbing up atleast one truck hopefully 2, a 40ft flatbed and a 3 car wedge and see which market we do better in. We are near Northern Virginia area so I think either one will be good money.
Hey thanks for the info. I too am about to start my own trucking and was going between hot shot and semi. Hot shot is where I am going to start. I am soaking all the info that I can and I appreciate your video.
Not knocking this method at all bc this is exactly how I started my hot shot car hauler business a year ago. I currently have purchased a tractor trailer and if I had knew any better in the beginning that's the best route to go. Your going to spend about the same in fuel, you can run alot harder, your insurance is cheaper, and the loads pay extremely more money when you're pulling 9 to 10 cars at a time. Just my take from what I've learned from my personal experience.

A couple of things he missed y'all. It's called a "SECURED CREDIT CARD" you can start a semi truck business from your hotshot business. Jus pay your "CREDIT BILLS" on time. As for the pickup he is correct, but start with a pickup make and save your money. Sell that truck before you put 100,000 miles on it and but a Kodiak 5500 or something similar. Then when you get a load only take a percentage on "heavy loads" you'll be making bank. After about 2-3 years of busting your but. By 2 trucks and run teams on both. Yes you'll be spending a bunch of money but I know several people that have done this process and are making well over a million a year.
Love it! I just commented on a previous video. I'm 25, have 5 credit cards with 1500-3000 limits ranging on each card to this point. This is from limit increases over the years (2 years.) My score is a 680 right now. I want that first truck bad. What's your advice? I'm in NYC as well. And I want to drive the truck.
Pay your cards off in full 1 week before the due date every month. Quarterly or every 3 months after the first 3 months of following this system call the cards and ask for an increase. Continue this strategy, as your limits get really high you can choose to back off to twice a year or annually, right now I have over 100k in limited cards and 2 limitless cards. If you follow that your limits will increase fast just be careful to not trap yourself. There's many sources online to find "strategy" on getting these limits.
It s risky and mostly this person can fail with no cash in pocket. U need at least 10k in pocket or more to start a successful trucking business . At least 10k. It s a fact from most experienced owner ops
@@zeenleprochaun.4308 That is true, however, do not think you can keep doing balance transfers from card to card and get their low or 0% APR. I tried it once....what happened was I opened a card with an intro 0% for 18 mos on purchases. I think was 4k limit. I charged it up....made the minimum payments. Then as I was closer to the 18 mos time frame I satrted shopping for a card to transfer the balance. NONE of the new cards (i think 3) I applied for, would approve me for 4k....they were all $900 - $1500 credit limit. So I was screwed, and had to transfer part but pay higher interest on the original. They know people will try that game and they are prepared for it.
@@thefireman285 Yes, but there are 3 balance transfers! An ACH transfer is key, which transfers the funds from the credit card to your checking account . You don't want to transfer balance from credit card to credit card. I should have clarified that. You can also use an access check, which falls under a balance transfer, then out that to your checking account.
@@zeenleprochaun.4308 OK, I think I misunderstood what you were talking about. You were talking about getting a good 0% introductory rate at the start and then borrow on the CC. I thought you were talking about transferring the balance (after you have written access checks or ACH etc) from the CC to another low or 0% card to keep borrowing the money at 0% but on another card. Just saying if anyone is thinking to do that...it won't work.
Hi Thank you for this video! I plan on buying a truck and eventually turn one into a small fleet but where are some good places to buy a semi truck that’s not too costly. Roughly between $16-20,000 for a used truck.
I did this to buy my semi but using bussines credit it only took me 9 months. The funny thing is that I built my business credit before I had my first truck.
It is. Businesses go through them all the time. If you can't handle the business then it will handle you. The goal is to make more money than you spend. A lot more.
Casino, in this video, you mentioned buying a dually and trailer. What about a 26ft box truck with a lift gate??? They are cheaper and can be purchased from a quality fleet company.... I don't have access to a load board to inquire on box truck freight... Can you shed some light on it....????
I dont see why it would be any different. Dump trucks are profitable, but also keep in mind the area you live in. Weather plays a role in that business. Rain usually means no work. Tractors are year round. I own a trucking company.
Such a great video.... of how to put yourself in a stupid amount of debt... follow this and you'll be in a hole for years a years to come. Never in my life have I heard "start your business from the ground up all with credit cards!"
Wow I guess you haven't seen business credit cards. I have seen people buy houses on credit cards. You can definitely use cash if you want. Your ROI would be different.
@@CasinoIsTheName that's not what your implying in the video. Your telling people to apply for several cards, raise credit limits. According to your theory you would need a steady job, then have years of increasing credit limits and taking out more cards, then hoping your credit isn't shot while going out and buying a new truck and new trailer.. such terrible advice
You're a liar and have no clue what you're going on about, I used my $50,000 in student loans over the last 2.5 to 3 years and I was approved for $50,000 across 5 business credit cards just recently--I had a 720 FICO 8 score--with 0% on regular purchases and balance transfers and no balance transfer fees for 15 to 21 months and none of them report to my personal credit and require no personal guarantee, and I was also have one personal credit card with a $10,000 limit that charges no cash advance fee. So I have over $100,000 in liquid cash I can invest starting this year and I have 2 years or more before I have to begin making any payments on the student loans I took out. And the minimum monthly payments on the CCs is 1% per month with no interest accrued for the 0% introductory APR period. I refuse to slave away for fucking minimum wage ever again!
If I took your shitty, irrational, Dave Ramsey-tier advice I'd still be slaving away working a 9-to-5 job. Thanks to debt I have cash flow to service my debt and I have profit leftover that even after taxes absolutely dwarfs the $8.25 an hour I used to work for as a security guard I did for 4 years. Thanks to student loan and credit card debt, all of which is unsecured, I can still continue through college to eventually become a veterinarian and still have multiple side businesses that will generate me income and allow me to buy my freedom so I never have to work for a paycheck again. You heard it folks, a guy living on his own making $10k a year for the last 3.5 years on his own is now on track to break $50,000 in after-tax profit in his first six months in business.
Two words. LANDSTAR RANGER. there I just saved you thousands of dollars a year and made you thousands of dollars a year at the same time. And they NEVER run out of freight. NEVER
yeah. I know you mentioned the truck was 53K, the trailer was 12K, $700 to a company to do all the paperwork for getting your authority, but what about the 20% down on the insurance and are there any other start up costs?
That's not entirely true. If you buy wrong or the market takes a turn you can be stuck. Happened to me in my first house. Now the house value is up but it took years for the market to come back up some.
All of the OG‘s showed me illegal business. It’s about time that we have a good brother that wants to see someone like me win!!!! NOW THIS IS GAME GAME💯
If your reading this stop listening to people just trying to make a name for themselves. You can look at the video and tell what a person values are. Trucking is very up and down it can take a long time to build a fleet it's very hard work.
Really is that what I'm doing? Anything worth having is hard work. I'm not telling people not to work hard in this video. I work very hard. This is just a way to get some money if you are willing to grind. This can work for plenty of industries. You say it's hard to build a fleet but I disagree. Everyone's situation is different. People only change for 2 reasons, desperation and inspiration. You got the whole reason I do this wrong. What exactly are you saying my values are?
You have some good content. But as I have said before this is not the best way to get into the business. If you want to do hot shot the most cost effective route is a 26ft box with a lift gate. $12-20k. Do air freight and LTL. Buying a new truck and trailer is not the best way for someone who has no experience whatsoever. People will get into debt $85k or so and don’t have the first clue as to what they are doing. Your buddy that has 30 trucks that is his main business it is totally different. I can show people how to make money in the Collision repair business with gross sales in excess of a $1.2 million in under 2 years.
@@Anti79Pker Just as a straight truck is limited to weight restrictions . Vans do not have the same gvwr as a 26ft box truck so your ability to haul freight is limited. Freight is moved based off weight and mileage.

Damn💰💰💰💰thats a fire ass blueprint. Much props to this brothra.
On your way
Pay your cards off in full 1 week before the due date every month.
Man you are an inspiration for me! 👊🏼
It's a million ways to get some money
Great advice!!!!! Thanku you so much!!!!!! I'm going that route!!!!!
Haha i saw what you did there. I'm not gonna say lol. Awesome content bro!! I wish you nothing but success in all of your endeavors.

What’s the time frame for one to build their credit to execute the entire plan to START their own company?
I already have my authority running semi's right now. How do you feel about semi trucks vs. Hot shot.
Dodge is the only route to go in trucking , that sucker will pull down a house

Dave's Garage how many trucks you own ?
@@n.b.a1529 8 Minus my service truck pickup truck etc. Building the 8th though.
Dave's Garage will you plan to get more trucks or is it too much already to manage 8 trucks ?
Well there is always room for more yes it is very hard to maintain them but as long as there is work there is money to be made so yes.

Love it
Great!
🤫Subliminal I fw it
It s risky and mostly this person can fail with no cash in pocket. U need at least 10k in pocket or more to start a successful trucking business . At least 10k. It s a fact from most experienced owner ops
It's good to have cash period. But you can start with none. I'm just showing what they can do.
@@CasinoIsTheName They can perform a balance transfer via the credit card under 0 apr for 13 months. The most you would pay is a transaction fee!
I knew this but still worth watching again
Hi Thank you for this video! I plan on buying a truck and eventually turn one into a small fleet but where are some good places to buy a semi truck that’s not too costly. Roughly between $16-20,000 for a used truck.
Dealerships have them online all the time 😊
Did u buy

I appreciate this.

I would advise everyone to do additional research and not simply take advice from a Casino.. remember the house always win!
I agree. This was just an example and not financial advice. This is just to show it can be done.
THANK YOU BRUH. LOVE THIS VIDEO HERE💯

I totally dig how you were dancing around the truth. I give a guesstimate.

I did this to buy my semi but using bussines credit it only took me 9 months. The funny thing is that I built my business credit before I had my first truck.
Greedy how's the trucking going?
EVERYONE PLEASE KNOW HOW TO Distinguish good info from bad. Some good points and some bad points. Bankruptcy is REAL!
It is. Businesses go through them all the time. If you can't handle the business then it will handle you. The goal is to make more money than you spend. A lot more.
Ok, enlighten me on the bad points. What would you do differently then whats mentioned in the video?
I subscribed after that intro 💕🤦🏽♀️
Right lol ❤ it I need a introductory like that
Awesome appreciate the game

Great video
Thanks fam
Casino, in this video, you mentioned buying a dually and trailer. What about a 26ft box truck with a lift gate??? They are cheaper and can be purchased from a quality fleet company.... I don't have access to a load board to inquire on box truck freight... Can you shed some light on it....????
Thank you for this idea
Despite the negativity, keep up the good work.
Excellent vid
Yeah we don't tell them anything but the truth when it comes to our annual income 😂
Lol there you go 🤐
U tell them the truth u ain’t getting shit lol I make 200k it’s a game all on paper
I would like to start my own as an investor and not a driver. I'm brand new to this but i'm very serious.
kesh3681 I would drive for you I’m thinking about getting my cdl by end of next year and starting business soon after
Great information.
Which one is the better option semi or hot shot driving? Looking to become an owner operator
I have thought about getting into the Trucking business.. I plan on moving to Texas soon..
Dope
What about plates? IFTA? Boc3 1500 in straps?
Right and fuel and tolls and everything else... all can be put on a credit card
I like the setup
Can you give us an updated version? I'm wanting to get into the dump truck business
So i should get a bunch of credit cards to pay for me starting a trucking business..great idea bro
If you do this method and you don't get the loads you will be bankrupt in 2 months.
But why wouldn't you get loads?
Two words. LANDSTAR RANGER. there I just saved you thousands of dollars a year and made you thousands of dollars a year at the same time. And they NEVER run out of freight. NEVER
What’s the best way to find available loads ? Is there like an app or something knowadays or do you need to go network with companies
I used 123loadboard, centraldispatch, and a dispatch service.
Casino Is The Name thanks bra, I appreciate it a lot.
so what is the total start up cost assuming you dont have any credit cards? How much capital do you need saved up?
If you had to use all cash and couldn't get any car loans or credit cards?
yeah. I know you mentioned the truck was 53K, the trailer was 12K, $700 to a company to do all the paperwork for getting your authority, but what about the 20% down on the insurance and are there any other start up costs?
Yes you gotta get straps about (750 to 1500), driver drug testing, insurance will be based on what your quote comes back with, etc
Back in 1992 I started mine with 20000.00
Good evening, I have been driving 18 wheeler for over 10 years and now I want my own truck can you help me get started?
I have an ebook in the description of the video that could help you out.
Preach!!
Using credit cards only works for real estate because you can refinance out of the debt or sell the property.
It's called an Allison transmission.
Aisin transmission
@@CasinoIsTheName my fault I'm thinking of Chevy
Thanks for the video man !! How do you find routes If you don't know anyone in the industry at first .
Best advice you can hear💯💯💯
Thanks fam
Come ON NOW WITH THE KNOWLEDGE!!!
No argument here. This is just an example.
@@CasinoIsTheName We need to link up. Im in the Metro as well.
Turbo mustang I been pulling freight with cargo van is it that much better money with box truck?
@@turbomustang8417 show us
@@Anti79Pker Just as a straight truck is limited to weight restrictions . Vans do not have the same gvwr as a 26ft box truck so your ability to haul freight is limited. Freight is moved based off weight and mileage.
