Argggggg.... It's.... So... Hard.... not to be a jackass when I see kits like this. I've been in health care for over 20 years both military and civilian and I have a hard time not being pushy with my opinions on pre-made first aid kits. But since you ask "is it any good" I guess I can howl a bit, I really think you need to build your own so you know what's in it and how to use it however I do like the bag itself and maybe the trauma sheers. 1. Buy great (not good) bandaids. 2. You're not doing rescue breaths on an adult. 3. Two tourniquets 3. Get a good ACE wrap. 4 Get Kerlix gauze rolls, at least two. 5 Tape. 6. Coban self adhesive wrap. 7 Gauze pads. 8. Neosporin 9. Alcohol pads. 10. Blister tape/mole skin. 11. Telfa non-sticky dressings. I could go on.. and on... and on. But this is the stuff I've found to be helpful. All of this is less than $25 at Wal-mart. (tools = sheers, tweezer, scalpel or scalpel blade, syringe and needle)

@@psykotedy IMHO I've found that Gauze, tape and pressure handle most simple bleeding issues. Being able to treat blisters to increase mobility, the ability to prevent or treat sun burns, having a way to deal with sprains/strains (ace wrap and a cold pack) and having a way to deal with bites and stings (add lidocaine cream, steroid cream and oral Benadryl to your kit) is 90% of what I end up helping people with.
What is the opinion on SAM splints? I feel like they are the one item most often left out of kits, but could be one of the most frequently needed. Isn't mechanical injury one of the most common?

Also, just want to point out that with any of these kits, you are really reviewing the pouch itself, since I think most people buying this style of kit are going to re-pack it anyway, our guiding question should really be, which bag is best? Would love to see you review the old M-3 tri-fold style medical kit, but the new one with the molle webbing Also, along with that review would like to see a small first aid kit, paired with that. I would be curious to know how would stage the tri-fold kit. I would expect a kit like this to have: Trauma shears, 2 CATs, Quick clot, an Isreali bandage, 2 chest seals, an NPA, 2 Kerlix rolls, compressed gauze and some tape. I would of course throw some more items in there too but at least that. The small first aid kit should hold all your bandaids and stuff that is non-critical, like topicals and meds.
I have had this in my work for about 3 years and I have used it twice so far. Both times were just for little cuts but the Alcohol Patches and Band Aids have done the job. The Band Aids Stick Really Well.
Hi. I’m a retired Army guy. Great review awesome no B.S. video. I have these in all my vehicles. The bag is good. I just use it as a starting point and supplement it with what else I want in them. Tourniquet, better tape, steri-strips ect. The price isn’t to bad, all things considered and they don’t take up to much more in the cars and SUV’s. Personally I would rather have it and not need it. Then to need it and not have it.
I have seen one like this for 49.99 . It had a shovel, bellows and a small hammer mulit-tool. But a lot of the stuff was crap. This on the other hand is quite useful! The case seems well built! I wish the first-aid items were a little more packed to together in one area!
Picked one of these up and I'm happy with it, that being said about half the contents came out and went into my camping bag, which made room for a N.A.R. trauma refill kit,a CAT and some other essentials, but for a base to build an IFAK off of it's not bad, and has lots of little wilderness survival stuff I've been good about forgetting in the past. I bought it as a cheap starting point towards something better and it filled the role decently. The molle attachments held up to a day of running hanging off the back of my belt. Feels like you get your money's worth
Not the best for my serious bug out bag, but great for a day hike or overnight camp in case something goes wrong. And you can never have too much tape!

Well , IMO. The contents in that bag is worth the $40 . But , there are some glaring exceptions for a " first aid kit " to treat even minor wounds . Three things for sure it needs are , bacitracin and Neosporin , and some butterflies . But , I can see them getting $20 for the pouch and $19 or so for the striker . Yeah , for sure the "contents " are worth the price . Hell , its actually a amazing price . Stay safe out there .. gubs
I dunno, I personally wouldn't carry any medkit that didn't have some Peroxide. Let's be real here, most people hiking or camping (who will benefit from a medkit) will have minor or mediocre wounds right? The first thing you do is disinfect...THEN you bandage and tape. I don't know too many people who would use those alcohol pads for disinfecting haha. I would also say some triple antibiotic ointment should be in there. I also always add some Vaseline, good to stop the bleeding while you prep, been used in boxing for decades. Ah, and one of those cotton balls with some Vaseline is also a decent fire starter.
Tactical? I was anticipating tourniquet, chest seals, maybe an instant cold compress, quick clot, eye wash, enough tape to splint a leg, you know, things that would make a difference when seconds and minutes counted, then get evacuated. I did not think tactical would mean neat stuff to add unnecessary weight to a backpack. How long does a five dollar folding knife stay sharp, and how well does it lock up? The tactical metal card tool, in a first aid kit? Nice size container, it can be adapted. Will the elastic straps last a summer?
I have this kit and I’m happy with it. I of course added a lot more to it and as I did so I realized the importance of making your own. So I went on and built several more medkits from scratch. Trust me when I say this, build your own! You’ll save money and you won’t waste money on pointless products.
I was wrong, I actually have the IFAK medkit from this company. I bought the IFAK because it had everything I actually wanted especially the pouch. It was worth it.
Well, if you pay cheaply....... you get cheap stuff. Why not just buy their best kit? If you are going to get a medical kit for ANY reason you shouldn't be going with the cheapest option. That is kind of no brainer.

Bought this as well. Kept most of the contents but added some too. The bag and zipper itself is pretty good but all of the straps dry rotted and tore like paper after a year or two!

Btw the “quick saver” is key and most rescue breaths would be useless without it, although I recommend getting a better one. It should be called: big easy, seal easy, easy seal, etc

i went camping an didnt have a first aid kit so i got one of these. mainly because nobody camping had a very basic one. plus with this i could just put it on my bag for when i go hiking or rock hunting. all i was looking for was a very basic one. im not a medic and what little medical training i can even remember from years ago when i had to do it i figured if i was ever in a situation where we needed something more.... i would probably not be the right person for it. either way. im happy enough with it.
Not a bad bag and contents, but the flip out pouch on mine after a year the mesh ripped and the zipper came off not happy at all. What is really disappointing is that I have never had to use anything and the company will not contact me back with a response.
Unless I missed it, I didn't see any aspirin, Advil or any other type pain medication. I'm putting together my own kit now and will definitely include that.

Commercial kits are cheaply made. Profit is more important than real kit items that are designed for functional use. No CAT or pressure dressing. No hemostatic agents for active bleeding or chest seals for GSW's either... Let alone a burn dressing or quality sterile grade packaging. This kit is okay for Minor Cuts and Abrasions. The mylar blanket, trash bag poncho, knife and tiny flashlight is a strange compromise for good gear too. Thank you for the review!
Amazon, huh? We will leave that alone. The tape looks like plumbers tape. Add some real Band Aids, butterfy sutures, some antibiotic ointment, iodine, antihistamines and aspirin/tylenol/ibuprofen, a CAT tourniquet and it might make a good first aid kit.

For 39 bucks a lot of value there... even if the quality is not great. I guess with that you can get by... at least if the emergency is not serious... however, I wouldn't trust something like this kit. Indeed, I don't trust pre-made kits.
If you tactically scrape your knee this might come in handy. I you were shot or blown up this is basically useless. I was at least expecting a pressure dressing or something. All that tactical molle, to keep a bag containing qtips and cotton balls.

These kits are kinda garbage. Ok as a booboo kit for a car or something maybe but nothing serious. I bought one before and returned it. The tear away feature is useless because the straps on the front of it are attached to the rear of the part that tears away, so it holds it in place unless you unclip it first. The bandages are fine I guess but the tools it comes with are useless. If you want to mount it on a plate carrier it's way too big. After returning this I bought a real kit from north american rescue. Has a TQ, needle decompression and better gauze. Much more streamlined and better products. For sure recommend building your own or buying from a reputable company.
Still crap. No actual trauma bandages no tourniquet no gloves (unless I zoned out) and is way too big for what you can do with it. Medical kit with a small flashlight and knife (like a victorinox and mini maglite) seems like a good idea but as it is way too much junk for size. It's like a pseudo survival kit with bandages thats a briefcase but it's good for the money kinda.
There are gloves. I have no investment in it but, to be fair, they do have a separate trauma kit with all that good stuff. I might get it to review as well. I'll test most of the stuff to see if it's any good. Thanks

Condor sells the pouch. They also sell a smaller version called the emt lite. Great pouches. I have both.

Those items like asprin go bad sitting in packs. Get some single serving packs of those items to put in them and update when necessary!

It's like a pseudo survival kit with bandages thats a briefcase but it's good for the money kinda.
There are gloves. I have no investment in it but, to be fair, they do have a separate trauma kit with all that good stuff. I might get it to review as well. I'll test most of the stuff to see if it's any good. Thanks

It’s a boo-boo kit, at best
It looks like an over glorified ouch boo boo, kit. Your IFAK is better than this one, and most others on the market. This company should pay you, as an a consultant, on how to make an IFAK.
