14 goals in one World Cup is insane. Almost impossible. Even if Ronaldo manages to score 8 goals in the group stage in 2018, he wont score another 6 in the knock-out stage. (to difficult). I think CR7 will score between 2-4 goals in the World Cup 2018, but 7 at the most if the Opposition is really bad or he is extremly lucky.
Fontaine needs an icon card on Fifa. His prime moments card would be unreal like 96 rated I reckon

I dont think there will be another soccer player to score 13 goals in one World Cup. Everyone mentioned Miroslav Klose and his 16 goals which were in four World Cups, 27 matches, I cant imagine if Fountain would have played another two World Cups with about the same leves.

Football is a team game. During world cup you play for a team which you merely know. WC is not an appropriate platform to judge a player.
You are right. We judge great players by their wc records but deep down we all know that it is not right. Anyways, scoring goals in wc these days is difficult not because of lack of skills but because of solid defense by the smaller teams. In champions league we get to see high scoring matches but in wc don't because of this negative strategy.
totally different era and style of game/tactics
how do you compare a player from the 50's with modern players?? it is a totally different game now, more professional, better management, defense, organisation, tactics ... impossible to compare.
@@heavyrules6699 You compare with how dominate they were in there respective era, for example Puskas compared to Lewandowski or Luis Suarez, puskas helped win 3 champions league titles having multiple 40 goal seasons, also dominated La Liga with real madrid winning multiple La liga's, and with his incredible hungary team reacheda world cup final, and won golden medal. He was more dominate scoring 700 goals in 725 games, so he is better.

Luis Suarez miramontes of the 50s and 60s, compared to iniesta, Luis Suarez won the ballondor and the champions league and la liga in the same season competing against the amazing real madrid side, luis suarez, than went to inter where he won multiple serie a's was close to winning another ballondor, than won the champions league back to back, imo Luis Suarez makes a strong case of being better than iniesta, as he was more dominate in his era, but Xavi and Luis Suarez is a bit closer.
