Me too. Italy had great players like Meazza, Combi, and Piola in that era as well as oriundi like Orsi and Monti. Pozzo created a great team but we sadly don't have the footage to see how they played. Just snippets in docos.

My god it’s crazy how this was the only time in World Cup history where Germany lost in the round of 16. They’ve been in 10 round of 16 matches and they’ve won 9 of them

Germany has been incredibly consistent in World Cups. Until 2018 and 2022, they have been regularly reaching the quarter finals at least for decades.

Yep, it was a very political world cup. Subs weren't allowed until the 1970 World Cup.
