Hi Steve, A little voice was telling me to Google actress Aneta Corsaut (Helen Crump) only to learn that she was born in my own birth state of Kansas. In looking over Aneta's Wikipedia page and according to the book, "Andy & Don: The Making of a Friendship and a Classic American TV Show" it mentions that she and Andy Griffith had an affair while working on the show plus Griffith was married at the time. Aneta never married.
CarolinaGirl I think Andy Griffin and Ms. Corsaut had great chemistry on the show and I think they were a good match for each other. Andy’s last wife was a piece of work. She buried him 5 hours after he died and had the home he shared with a previous wife demolished. I do believe September is when they have autumn festival it would be the best time to visit.
Steve, thank you so much for documenting the actors of one of the greatest shows in television history. I, like many remember the reruns more than the original series run from 1960-69. It has never lost any of its timeless Americana innocence over the years, however and still attracts millions of viewers around the world today. The assembly of actors that made this show so memorable is truly unique in television history. Several famous actors such as Jack Nicholson, Jerry Van Dyke, Barbara Eden, and Bill Bixby also made cameo appearances on the show early in their careers. Thank you for sharing these wonderful memories and final resting places with everyone. God speed and safe travels!
Just found your videos. I love visiting cemeteries. Lived in LA for 2 months in 2006. My biggest regret was that we never visited the cemeteries. SO HAPPY TO FIND YOUR VIDEOS ! I love all the old shows. Thanks so much for making these. ❤
Angela N I am not sure. Andy wanted it to be a museum. They have been married for at least 20 years so I would have expected her to respect his wishes. There might be more that went on. For economic reasons?
I’m glad to see lots fans of The Andy Griffith Show! I grew up watching it and grew up in a similar looking town here in Texas. It seems no one wants to remember the positive aspects of the south anymore. Just the negative.
My all time favorite character was "Floyd the barber". Don Knotts once said of him that he was the same on and off the set--a natural. It was the "Helen" character l hated. She was a stick of dynamite.
Agree on both. Floyd is one of those rare character actors that can make a show but is overshadowed by other legendary characters/actors. Totally agree about Helen, it was though poor Andy had to walk on eggshells around her volatile character.
Best show ever made, love watching over and over again. Sad that it left Netflix, must have watched each episode over 100 times. Barny Fife was of course my favorite character. Keep up the great work, love watching.
How I wish I can name all my favorites from the Andy Griffith Show ... I truly love the earlier seasons . I was a baby when the show 1st aired . I especially say Barney Fife ... he is funny and messy . It wasn't the same after Don Knotts left .

When Floyd the Barber had his stroke he was still on the Andy Griffin show. They wrote him out of the Andy Griffith Show until he was able to come back, So after Floyd had his stroke he came back to the Andy Griffin show, just a few more episodes then he wasn't able to do it anymore. I always did love Floyd the Barber he was cool as hell him and Otis also Ernest T
I agree. He was one of the best. Thanks Bob for sharing with us 😊👍
When he came back all of his scenes were shot with him sitting down.
Thank you for this❤❤❤I own the series on dvd and watch it over and over and over. Love the show and the wonderful actors
One of the best! I didn't like it when Elanor (SP?) Donahue left, she was great!
I remember seeing every single episode of The Andy Griffith Show and listening to the theme song every single time that I opened the tv set back then.
I live in the real Mayberry. Mount Airy nc it’s Andy’s home town
That must be awesome! It’s definitely on my bucket list to visit someday soon. Thanks for sharing Bradley 😊👍
I visited there in February of 2019, I also live in N.C. Swansboro, this was a place that I had always wanted to visit, another trip is planned for this September or October.
I was there a few weeks ago. Definitely an interesting place.
@@TheGraveyardChannel I would say go soon, coz Betty Lynn still there about to turn 94 but you'll probably not going to see her anyway due to the coronavirus. I hope and pray this stuff goes away b4 Betty. I've met her twice, once back in 2006 and got my picture with her, she is as sweet as they come!!!
I do believe September is when they have autumn festival it would be the best time to visit.
I loved Thelma Lou. I actually got to meet Thelma Lou (Betty Lynn) in September at Mayberry Days. Very sweet lady indeed
Very cool and nice to hear. Thanks for sharing with us Jana 😊👍
Memory Lane Trips With Steve you're welcome
Having to wear a mask in a cemetery is the absolute height of absurdity.
The entire cast was special and very talented in their own way, but I would have to say Barney (Don Knotts).
Just found your videos. I love visiting cemeteries. Lived in LA for 2 months in 2006. My biggest regret was that we never visited the cemeteries. SO HAPPY TO FIND YOUR VIDEOS ! I love all the old shows. Thanks so much for making these. ❤
It's so strange how Andy's widow demolish his home the day after his death. I find it mighty peculiar.
I never knew that.
Huh I didn't here about that ? Why did she do that for?
Angela N I am not sure. Andy wanted it to be a museum. They have been married for at least 20 years so I would have expected her to respect his wishes. There might be more that went on. For economic reasons?
@@theviking2877 it was reported they had a long going affair for years on the show. (Helen Krumpett)
@@richardjohnson8197 True
Agreed. Helen was terrible.
Otis was my favourite Andy Griffith character. Thanks again for another great video.
Thanks Pam 👍
will the actors be wearing facemasks when making that movie? no they won't be due to they are special and take precautions. Unlike us peons.
Best show ever made, love watching over and over again. Sad that it left Netflix, must have watched each episode over 100 times. Barny Fife was of course my favorite character.
Keep up the great work, love watching.
Great trip Steve! To bad there aren’t shows like Andy Griffith on TV now. I can watch them over and over. Safe travels!
I know, but at least we can watch it on me TV forever. Thanks Julie 😊👍
i watched all the shows ....have a good evening
Really good show back in the day . Thanks so much..
Thanks for vid ! good memories from the 60's TV ... RIP all actors ... you made our day a better one !
Thanks Mr. Titan. That’s very nice of you to say 😊👍
How I wish I can name all my favorites from the Andy Griffith Show ... I truly love the earlier seasons . I was a baby when the show 1st aired . I especially say Barney Fife ... he is funny and messy . It wasn't the same after Don Knotts left .
Andy Griffith starred in movies and tv shows during his long career in Hollywood as a
Movie and tv actor
Steve:
Thank you very much for uploading this of The Andy Griffith Show and allowing us to see this while we are confined to staying at home during this quarentine.
I still watch the show. Andy and Barney are my favorite. I love watching all the characters.
My husband and I got to meet Betty Lynn in Mt Airy NC at the Andy Griffith museum. She is so down to earth and very sweet. I would love to go see her again.
So cool! Thanks for sharing this with us, Barbara!
I still watch it. I love it. Reminds me of simple times
Steve, I never knew the show was filmed right in Beverly Hills! Thank you!
I know, isn’t that crazy? Thanks for sharing with us wreck cars 👍
The old 40 acre back lot, that's not there anymore. Desilu Studios
My favorite character from the Andy Griffith show is Opi!!! I love the colors on your mask!!! TFS!!!
I’m a sucker for tie-dye 😊 thanks Tina 👍
They were all so awesome but Don stands out to me. I have seen portrayals at festivals of people playing Barney and it has been extremely entertaining. So good thst they take you back in time.
The Andy Griffith Show was easily in my top 3 of favorite TV shows as a kid & even loved Mayberry R.F.D.! You really picked a nice cemetery for your final resting place, Steve.
I agree. It’s such a classic and never gets old. Unlike the rest of us 😊 thanks, as always, for sharing with us, Dave 👍
NEWMAN !
