I'm leaving Oregon... thanks COVID

- Although my time here in Portland, Oregon was short, I still loved it nonetheless. I moved here right as the pandemic/quarantine was really starting to get underway (March 16th or so), and thus it ended but being rather hard to get myself settled and stable. All things considered though, I still really enjoyed my time here; I went on some awe-inspiring adventures, ate some of the - if not THE best - food of my life, and learned some invaluable lessons.
Most importantly, I want to say that this is definitely not goodbye. I will most definitely be back when I'm back on my feet and steady again. Already counting down the days.
Make sure to stay tuned for the adventures to come. There will be lots of car camping, lots of fall foliage, and lots of new experiences.

When I was younger I used to go into town and get an 8th of herb and a small bottle of peppermint snaps. I would go over to that park and spend the whole day there reading and just enjoy the outside. That really is a nice park. I haven't been there for years. Never stop exploring. Check out ever little spot when traveling. You never know when you will find other cool spots like this.

It's kinda funny, I just found your videos. I'm a former Portlander, moved away in 2003, and you're doing almost exactly what I did at your age. A reset of sorts, seeking the next place...albeit, for different reasons. I went the way of Spokane, then a decade in Montana and have ended up in Alaska. I wish you luck in your journey and hope you find the success and desirable ways of life I did. I'll subscribe.

I am leaving Oregon for good reason, one so many Californian are moving in 2 more peoples from Texas are coming here 3. Houses are becoming very expensive and not affordable for peoples who been living in Oregon for 20 years 4. Traffic has become the next California traffic and it’s just sad what it has become.
Man, I’m also from California and moved to Portland for a job, got laid off within 6 months. I’m happily back in California and I’m sure you will be too

I found your channel by chance the other day and I love your approach of living simply with minimalism. I've always wanted to go on a road trip myself, and watching you helped give me the motivation to do it! I'm in a similar situation, was a waiter before the pandemic, having trouble finding new work. Going to say screw it and go on an adventure while I still have some funds and have youth and energy.
Next week I'm taking a long road trip solo, going to camp out in the midwest for a while. Was planning on going to Wyoming to see the Devil's Tower (decided before I saw this video of yours, I promise I'm not a stalker, lol). Maybe I'll bump into you somehow.

Yep. SoCal is the BEST place to be in the winter. Just gorgeous weather...and the scenery by the beach and mountains is pretty good, too. Lost of jobs here, too.

Cali id say would be the wrong place, they are putting in more restrictions and shutdowns then Oregon, but if that’s where you have most resources like you were saying, you have to do what you have to do, goodluck with everything hope all things start settling down and this country starts going back to normal from all Thai Covid,

Can't believe you are driving with that boot on... doubt you've been cleared to do that, SO unsafe for you, other drivers & pedestrians. They wouldn't allow me to drive until the boot came off . If you have an accident your insurance co. will cut you lose & then you can be sued for everything you have or will have in the future. Why don't you drive with a shoe or slipper then use the boot for walking?
