      51. My hair is “classic” or bottom of bottom length. I’m heading to mid things and maybe then on to knee. My ends sometimes stall me via micro damage just shy of knee.

When you flip the curls upside down, and floof them at the roots, LAST THING before you flip back right-side-up, give the roots of the hair a blast of hairspray, and give that a moment to dry. Then, when you flip it back right-side up, you will have volume that goes on for DAYS.

I’ve always had long blond/grey hair since way back in my thirties, but recently I’ve been hiding my hair because of my advanced age.
You’ve inspired me today. It’s OK 👍🏼 to have long hair in your 60s too. Thanks.

Hair down to your collar bone is a very flattering & on trend look that suits all ages. Hair longer than that after 50 can look a bit like you're trying to be 30 again & it hilights how thin, frizzy & wiry older hair can get.

Sarah Holland, my grandmother had long blond hair that touched the back of her calves. She wore it in a bun every day and brushed it out every night. She was 88 years old when she passed. I admired her for not cutting her hair, she said long hair on women was their glory and their strength, thank you for your response .

My natural hair was just like her end result. I was so happy with it because it looked great and all I had to do was wash it, run a brush through it and let it dry out naturally.
Its been about a year now and my hair curls on top but all the rest is a a limp frizz. I now have to use a curling iron if I want it to look presentable.
I am excited about trying this out and can't wait to see my new curls.

Just a side note, if your “belt” is too thin, use two (or more) until you get a thicker apparatus, using a bobby pin at the top-center just the same. I’ve got 3 daughters and we’ve got about a million robes.....finding a couple of belts is quite easy, lol!! You can also use socks in the same way if you don’t have a robe belt. Just use a sock per each side of your head, pinning it to your center part, just the same. This is such an easy, non fussy, non damaging way to create the most beautiful waves/curls 😍

Thanks for sharing this because when I saw your hair in the video that you said you used this method I was very interested in how. This was just genius for no heat. One trick I love to use is I put my hair in a pony tail in the top of my hair close to my forehead. I have the Caruso steam rollers which are not supposed to damage your hair. I place the rollers in the pony tail until they hair cooled. When I take it down all I do is shake my hair upside down just like you did never using a comb or brush. And it has the best curls ever. It will last for a couple days if I can’t wash my hair. My hair is very long now and this is the easiest way I have found to roll it...love ya sis..xoxo

I was trying to remember how my mamaw when do my hair when I was younger it was my mom's mom and she would use long pieces of material where she would quilt and she would do my hair but I couldn't remember how until I came across this video. I am 50 years old now and this brings back so many memories for me you wouldn't believe I'm so grateful I saw this video Just For The Memories. But so you know when I was younger and she did my hair up until I cut my hair it was below my way I didn't get it till I was 15 anyway she would always do my hair for me at night and it was always likely dampened that would actually cut down on the freezing and she also used some kind of oil but I don't remember what it was she would always put on the ends of my hair. Thank you for sharing this video thank you for bringing back some memories I had lost. This just made me cry when i seen it because of the memory of her doing my hair. So Thank you so much from Amy in White Pine Tennessee!

What a pretty head of curls, Tammy! You have convinced me to try this tomorrow! I have a couple big terry robes, and I'll try it with my bone straight, long hair, and one of their belts! My hair needs root colouring too, it it shows up more, because my hair is dark brown! I also need a trim; it's grown since this 'stay at home' session since Feb. 19th! When we all eventually re-enter the world, it will surely be a sight, with women scrambling to get their hair cut, and coloured, excess hair waxed, etc., brows done, lash extensions replaced, and their manicures, and pedicures completed! Oh boy! The curls will keep us going until then, missie! Thanks for sharing! Canadian love, and hugs, Tammy, Sherrey💗

My grandmother always said, to plait your hair, strengthens it, also she was a great believer in turning one's head upside down, if you know what I mean and brushing 100 strokes, from the scalp downwards, distributing the oils down the hair shaft. Always using a Mason and Pearson bristle brush - which although expensive to buy at the time, it has certainly proved it was worth the money after 30 years!. Enjoyed video and will definitely try this technique you used 👍🏻

Tammy I remember awhile back in a video you mentioned how with the hair vitamins you’ve been taking your hair might eventually grow “down to your kneecaps”. This seemed like exaggeration at the time but seeing how long your hair has gotten and how it looks more beautiful than ever at this super long length, would this be something you consider? I for one hope you decide to do this and I have a feeling many others do too! I know it would be a lot to maintain but you would take such great care of it. This virus is the perfect time to try something like this and clearly your hair was meant to be worn super long😊. All of us would love to see it and most importantly I believe you would love it yourself! Thanks Tammy, you truly are an inspiration.

Gorgeous.... I’m going to try it on my little bit longer than chin length, layered, bob. Probably won’t work but we will see. I have been acquiring beach waves daily with a curling wand. I hate all the heat to my hair so I’m excited to see if it will work.

It might...Let me know...It took me a few tries to get it where I wanted it...I didn't want ringlets ...so I picked up bigger sections...it worked!!

This is interesting because I have hair past my waist and I always braid it when I get out of the shower. Obviously, without a belt and it's always wet or damp. I'll wear it braided the first day and sometimes on the second day I take it down and just do it like you did yours. I can't brush it either or I'll have a frizzy mess. This has enabled me to be able to grow my hair so long because its mostly protected in the braid. I do color my roots only so I try to rarely put any kind of heat on it. I'm gonna try this and see if the curls look any different. Thank you for sharing. This is my first time ever seeing a video of yours and may I say that you are just beautiful. I subbed and look forward to seeing some of your beauty tips. 😘

Amazing! I am definitely going to try this! This looks absolutely gorgeous on you!! How do the waves hold up throughout the day? Do you have to wash and stat over every day or are you able to style this somehow for second day hair?

I do, if I am wearing it the way...But if you are someone that does not wash your hair everyday...then just wrap ...

Now that your hair is longer and more beautiful than ever would you be able to show the full length more often in videos and maybe flaunt it a little bit?🤪. I know you think you’d be showing off but you’d really just be inspiring us and sharing more of your beauty with us!

I definitely agree. It would inspire more women our age to wear their hair longer. My hair is down to my waist. It’s at the point it’s too heavy so will have it cut 2-3 inches. I can’t wait to try this. Much easier than using curling iron!

Lindy Mahan Me too! I actually used to have knee length hair but I cut it really short a few years ago. I’m growing it back really long tho. Hair has always been my best feature which is why I like it so long and Tammy has even better hair than me which is why I hope she shows it off more and grows it longer.

My hair has always been long. Ive always loved long hair. I can put it up, wear it loose, curl it like this in rags or rollers, braid it, and style it so many ways. I have never cut it but usually trim it when it starts getting stuck in the back of my pants. I haven't trimmed it in awhile now. It's well below my waist. I've noticed, though, that my hair has thinned as I've aged. When I was younger, I could barely wrap my hand around it and it was so heavy in a ponytail that I'd get a headache. It's so thin now, maybe just a third or a fourth of the thickness. I'm worried about it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Supplements, maybe? Or hair tonics? Thanks for any suggestions.

This is the most amazing technique for my thick coarse curly hair !!! Any suggestion for getting the back of hair to form good curls around the belt? I have a hard time getting the back of the hair around the belt. ❤️

You're such a gorgeous lady... and your hair this way is stunning. I wonder how your skin on your neck is so taught...? What's your secret for young, firm skin?

    • @starflower703

Florence That’s not a true statement. Some are lucky enough to have good genes and have youthful appealing skin. Besides if you take care of your skin from a young age, it lessens the effects of aging. I am 55 and no one has a clue what my age is. Some of it is from good genes and some is that I have taken care to treat my skin well since I was in my 20’s.
