- Troubleshooting the turn signals and hazards for the 2000 Honda Civic.
both turn signals and hazards are on the same system so if one doesn't work most likely both of them don't work. By the way I tried to make it easier since I'm not so good at explaining things properly.
--Troubleshooting--
Turn Signals and hazards don't turn on at all? (go to step 1)
one of the headlights don't flash? (go to step 3)
Turn Signals flashing too quickly? (go to step 5)
Step 1: Check to see if a fuse is out from the fuse box both outside and in the car (If fuses are fine go to step 2)
Step 2: Check Turn signal and hazards are installed correctly (Still nothing? go to step 5)
Step 3:Replace bulb with a new one or from an existing for testing (Did not work? go to step 4)
Step 4: Most likely a wiring issue, start at the headlight and check connection for cuts, fraying, kinks in the wiring if conditions of wire not a factor then try checking out Honda forums for the specs on the wiring bundle to the headlight. (go to step 6)
Step 5: Replace relay (Still same issue? go to step 6)
Step 6: Sorry it seems this is something deeper, Check Honda forums for wiring specs and additional information
I've been trying to figure out this same issue for a couple months now. Needless to say, I forgot to plug my Hazard light connector back in after installing my radio. No idea why I did not think to check this already. lol Thanks for posting this!
I know this is a older video buttt my turn signals and hazards weren't working in my 2000 Civic Ex this morning and watching this made me remember I was working on my radio yesterday and didn't plug the hazards back in, luckily I still have everything apart..

Bro , thank you. I’ve been without turn signals for a couple months now and bought relays and what not and I hate to say I just forgot to reconnect my hazard light 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Great video bro! Today I changed out my cluster bulbs to LED bulbs annnddd now my blinkers do not do anything…lol

I've run into a different issue where my Honda was recently broken into and during that my radio looked like it was ripped out and now my turn signals won't work only my emergency light......
You make this way harder than it is
I have a 2009 Honda Civic Si, and the left driver side signal does work fine, but when I hit my alarm, it does not flash. Also when I turn on my lights the left driver side does not come on. I replaced the fuse and still the same issue, the bulb is working fine so I didn't replace, what could be the cause? May relay, but the back lights work fine so I don't think that could be the issue. It's really annoying me, what do you think is the issue?
I have a kind of same problem as you but my turn signals are still working and my hazards light are not. I checked all the fuses and they seem ok
I would replace the hazard fuse but if you want to test it then and there do a quick test. Try swapping the turn signal and hazard fuse, if the opposite occurs then replace fuse if not let me know.

And if the harzard is on i dont see no signal of the four way.and if the turn signal it on an i press the hazard the turn signal stop
When i turned on my right an left signal i get them.but when i turn on my 4 way i dont get it

Well my turn signals was working fine but then I got some led bulbs at Autozone for my civic but next thing you know my turn signal light work but there not flickering

So i was cleaning the connection for my rear turn signal, forgot the power was on, and i was usin a test light bc the turn signal was givin me issues, then i heard a pop, pretty sure it’s the relay but it’s a bitch to get out, what would you think it is?
If the fuse looks fine it could be the bulb that popped, depends on the damage so if the fuse did its job just replace the fuse.
@@Ty-lf6fk fuse has power, relays got power, bought a new switch, i’m thinking it’s the fuse box, there’s no power to any wire that goes up to the turn signal switch other than the lights
did you ever find out what was wrong
@@delsoldill nah, i will eventually once i go thru the car, only two things i can think it’d be would be the fuse box and or the taillight harness
My hazards work but my turn signals are both out they went out all of a sudden and they make no sound at all or do anything
If you already tried everything it could be your turn signal switch.

I have the same issue .1998 honda accord hazard work but not my turn signal
just happened to me, did you ever found out what was wrong
I replaced the turn signal switch there pretty inexpensive at your local pick a part and easy to remove it fixed my problem so I’d just go with that.
@@delsoldill try the turn signal switch that’s what fixed my problem
I got a civic no tune signals while lights are on
I have one side that not blink
Just show us where we need to look. We don’t need a fucking story
