Eminem "Difficult" is an unreleased song about proof that really pulls my heart strings every single time I listen to it, it's quite painful but a beautiful song non the less. I highly recommend it

Also, "they'll never catch up" = ketchup and then he went into "energy that i've mustered "mustard" and at 9:25 like you said Proof had died and Em had kinda spiraled and here he's describing it as when he was close to dying he's talking to proof and saying he ain't gonna leave his kids behind.
he had it, was just a line off from catch up making the connection.
Part of the reason I love Eminem is his loyalty to his friends and his love of his daughters ❤

This was the first song he released officially mentioning the death of proof (he mentioned it a couple times on this album, recovery).
There was an earlier song in the height of his drug use after his death called "difficult" that was never officially released. It is the antithesis of this song. Eminem is clearly spiraling out of control when he wrote it, it doesn't even have a chorus. Probably right before he overdosed. He can hardly speak and is slurring his words throughout and a couple times refers to proof as if he's still alive, shows his state of mind back then.
It's truly heart wrenching.

This song came out in 2010 on his recovery album, castle and arose came out in 2017 on his revival album , he's just talking from the perspective of during that time period back when , proof died in 2006

I’m So Pleased You done This Song. I looked a couple of weeks ago to see if You done this song and now Your doing it I’m So Happy. You can still hear the pain in his voice and the emotions that he is going through while Rapping and Singing. I’ve watched this once I’m going back to watch this again. This Song is off of the Recovery Album that got me through so many rough and tough days or should I say years. This album stopped me from committing suicide after losing My Mum I had already lost My Dad by this time being 28 and parentless broke me to the point of what I thought was no return My Brother gave me his Recovery album told me to listen to it. I Thank My Brother So Much it was My Brother that gave me a life line and he said we’ve just lost Mum I can’t lose My Baby Sister too. Each day I listen to it and it helped me build the strength to keep going. This is why I Love Em and Appreciate him So Much. Proof had already past away. This was Em’s album that blew himself back up again to the top of the Rap world again. Castle and Arose was after this song as Castle and Arose was on Revival. Thank You Once Again for Reacting to You’re Never Over. Just to let You know that Em has another Song dropping on Tuesday 2nd July. Sorry I’m from the Uk so we write the date differently. ❤❤

Of course you can!! I’m ok, yesterday was a very emotional day a lot of mixed emotions too. His breathing has changed now which apparently can happen when you’re close to death. I’m holding it together for my mum’s sake. But honestly the care and support from Chris, you and Patti are a real source of strength for me, and I’m so grateful🙏 I don’t want to sound cheesy but you really are starting to feel like family to me, I just wish I could hug you all tight❤️ I’m doing it virtually anyways x

Even my real family feels like bunch of strangers with similar DNA... while Patti and "Dad" are always here supporting me no matter what for more than two years now. I getnit tho, I wish it were true to some extent, because loved ones and all that. But being concious for eternity sounds absolutely exhausting. That sounds like a different form of Hell, imo.
