Nice chat while stitching. Beautiful projects! You look fabulous all natural. When was a newlywed, my husband had to save the walls. Now thirty years later and three moves under our belt, he just asks where I want things hung. I do compromise and leave empty space. Yes, therapy is a learning experience and very valuable. Be Well
I love the pattern you are stitching in memory of Daleen. I’m stitching Feast of Friendship by Blackbird Designs and Needleworker’s Sampler by Brenda Gervais for my stitching with Daleen patterns. I miss chatting with my friend! My heart is broken. She lived life with so much gratitude.
I am currently commenting as I view, and I give my deepest condolences to you and your stitching community, for the loss of your friend,Daleen Wilson. You know, writing a book is a very profound thing. A book is eternal. Every time you pick it up,you shall receive memories of her. ❤️
I think you should use fuzzy yarn on all of the Rebel Stitcher piece. Use a tapestry 20 or 22 needle and a needle threader to get your thicker flosses or yarns through the eye of the needle. That way the needle will not come unthreaded as easy. Also you can put a tiny knot next to the eye of the needle and it definitely will not come unthreaded. You really need that Noah's Ark that Made By Michelle McGraw stitched as it is the most beautiful Noah's Ark I have ever seen. Happy Stitching! Dottie
Love you girl! That stitch for Darlene is perfect! You are perfect just the way you are. No need for explanation. I think we must be one and the same w/a lot of things.I wish I lived near you, Sandra sounds great! I could use a Sandra. As far as the fuzzy yarn, I would do the whole piece like that.
Your choice to honor Dalene is perfect. You are lovely with no makeup. My husband also saves walls and garage doors. Another one that I hate is you know that truck window will only go up and down so many times.
I agree about having a large picture of the stitch on the cover. I think a lot of reproduction samplers are overlooked because the cover photos are not very good. Our garage door is 20 years old and the opener is still going strong. We did have to have one of the springs on the door replaced about 5 years ago. It's like saving the good china. You might as well use it because someday you won't be around to. I remember when my Mom and her siblings cleaned out my Grandma's house. They found packages of new sheets and towels, nightgowns etc. What she was using was threadbare. Tell JW you will hire someone to come patch the nail holes when the time comes to sell the house. 😁
I love your stitching and your stories Niecie! The garage door and the ice usage LOL!! Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus! 😉I know there was a book with that title years ago but I never read it but it must be true, because we DO see things so different! And the scorpions in the bowl LOL!! 🤣I needed some laughter today, grieving the loss of one of my sisters. She is the first to leave us and it was totally unexpected. Thank you for the distraction with your flosstube, it was just what I needed.
Not ugly at all, beautiful inside and out ❤. Your Darleen tribute was so touching x. I think 2 become 1 would be nice when they get back. Thank you for putting a smile on my face 😊
Save the ice! Save the walls!! LOL! God forbid that you open the garage door! Poor James Williams, you are funny! I can only imagine how fun ilife is at your house! I think your selection for Daleen is perfect! She was such a beautiful soul that touched so many of us with her beautiful spirit. She will be greatly missed. You are making great progress on your WIP’s and I love your Autumn Rules! Your niece will love your gift, I think leaving it in their house to find after they get married would be fun, unless you want to enjoy seeing them open it. Hope you have a good week!
You look fantastic! I wish I looked as good as you do without makeup, I wouldn't waste time putting it on. I chuckled at James Williams saving the walls, garage door & Ice. He would kill me 😂 Autumn Rules is looking great, I need to stitch it, maybe next year.
Yes yes on your Daleen’s stitch…she was a joy..even the pictures she took showed joy! She will be missed by many. Thank you for the variety and episode.
😂 saving the ice! Ok, ours has a reservoir the ice and water goes in then it runs the cold water through the pad. To save the mess not the ice lol I froze bottles of water and just rotated the frozen bottles out. This would ease the ice wastage issue for James Williams.
You look beautiful with no makeup Wow! Me not so much. I think Daleen just reached so many with her heartfelt videos. She is such. Bright star now in heaven. I was just shocked to see she passed. Her treats she showed ❤ such a beautiful should for sure.
I LOVED this episode! You & your hubby remind me of me and mine. We're both Sag's, and I always say God put us two hissing cats in a glass fishbowl to see who survives! Regarding Lugana, I stitch on 25 ct Lugana sometimes and I don't like the stretch, either. I'm thinking I should try linen sometime to see how that goes, but I"m a 16 & 18 ct Aida gal, mostly.
Oh I had to laugh!! Dad did not like mom to put nail holes in the wall to hang pictures. We kids would always tell mom the walls were half hers….. nail away😂😂😂 Don’t forget to put the fuzzy on the tip of the cats ears. Hopefully that would look cute. You never know until you try.
I have a really good mail carrier but she is scared too death of dogs. My dogs know it and they act a fool every time she brings packages to the door. But bless her heart she still brings them and doesn’t try to shove them in the box or leave them on the ground at the box. Saturday, my metal sign Grammy’s Girls came and the guys bent my sign and shoved it in! I was so mad 😡. Fortunately, it did t break the flowers off it’s not perfectly flat but I got it close.
Use the date! If that would end up not being the date, it'll be a great story. Then I would most definitely have to get my gift to the couple before or the day of because I want the joy of giving the gift! Saving the walls and saving the ice! Seriously? Wow. You know the next person who pays money for that house can fix themselves brand new walls if they want. But, the walls we buy? They're ours and I'm using them.
Lol!!! I too had male on my first birth certificate! We were going into Canada many years ago & I didn't realize it said male until then! With my name I assume whoever thought it was Louis instead of Lois. They did let come into Canada though. Like I said it was a LONG TIME ago! Love all the stitching you shared today!
Awwww! You look so pretty with no makeup! Sunkissed glow! You cracked me up talking about your birth certificate! One of my sister-in-laws swears that her birth certificate said "It" in the blank for sex. :-) We have never laughed so hard. She said that it was lost so my other sister-in-laws made an authentic looking one and put "It" in the sex field and told her that they had found the original. She was so tickled she framed it and hung it on her wall! To this day no one has ever told her different. LOL! Keep blessing us with your beautiful stitching and FlossTubes! :-)
Please, please, please whatever you do, conserve that ice and that garage door!! 😂 Oh, my goodness, James Williams! Loosen up, man. Lol. Are you heading back to the classroom this school year?
Why did I love vienna sausages as a kid? 😂😂 Are you back to school soon? Or church preschool had open house last night and the kindergartens start Thursday and everyone else next week. I'm cryin' over the end of summer and my morning stitch time.
Wanna hear something funny? The moment that you said and pointed out where you had a fever blister,a little random dusty thing landed on my phone, right where you were pointing🤣🤣🤣
Also, regarding fimin’ ugly: Niecie, you’re a lotta thangs, but ugly ain’t one of ‘em. I’ve told this story before, but it bears repeating. Years ago,my nieces, when they were the same age as your granddaughters are now, they were visiting my mom for about a week. One morning,I was downstairs in the kitchen feeding them breakfast, and mom came downstairs,in her robe,no makeup or anything. The youngest niece took one look at her and shouted “GRANDMA!!! What happened to your FACE!?!?!?” Mom just turned around and went back upstairs. 🤣🤣🤣😅
Now wait. I respectfully disagree, regarding the notion that men want to be respected and women want to be loved, and here’s why: Ok sure a man wants the respect of his fellow men,it’s a work thing,it’s a family thing,it’s a friend thing. But a man, although culturally, won’t admit it,wants to be loved, too. We live in such a role playing culture that men can’t say this or that, and women can’t say this or that. But in the end,if love is found, there need be any words.
There is a song, regarding shutting the door,I will forward it to you,it’s by “Wolfgang Press”. Perhaps it will settle the garage door debacle between you and Mighty James. It might exacerbate it,that’s a possible outcome…
Ok one last thing, and I promise to stop being ‘too much Charles’: You look perfect in yellow. Yellow is a color that only a precious few pull off with perfection. You nailed it. 🥰

You look amazing just like that! It’s always lovely to spend some time with you and to see your beautiful X st. Have a great week. Xx

Sending you a hug for the loss of your sweet friend. She sounds like a brave, beautiful person. I pray for comfort for all that knew and loved her.
Two become one piece - in house when they return. That would be a sweet return surprise for them❤

I'm working on it while watching you, almost done.

You had me at garage door! Oh my gosh you made me laugh , love your videos. 😅💗
I'm the same way with faces. And rosewood manor is the one we talked about the pictures at stitchcon just not doing her patterns justice!

You always look beautiful even when you're stitching/filming ugly!!!! The fabric you mentioned is evenweave snow on blue by Fabric Flair.
