Maryland's 1984 comeback was led by QB Frank Reich, who had another famous comeback in the NFL, with the 1992 Bills in the wild-card game against the Oilers.
You have to add the blocked FG by MSU in the comeback against Baylor. Also, MSU had a 35 point comeback with 6 left in the 3rd against Northwestern in 2006
What about Maryland coming back from 31-0 against Miami in 1984 to win 42-40? It stood as the greatest comeback in FBS history for 22 years until Michigan State broke the record in 2006
Miracle at South Bend 1991. Tennessee down 31-7 just before halftime with ND attempting a FG. Tennessee blocks it and returns it for TD. Tennessee wins 35-34 to complete the comback.
@@ccfiberglass Lol that is not the greatest comeback ever. That is a touchdown, plus the extra point, plus a field goal, plus one extra point away from toeing the greatest. The REAL greatest was Michigan State vs Northwestern in 2006, when Michigan State was down 38-3 and made an insane comeback to win 41-38!
Dude, you missed the largest comeback in NCAA history. MSU was losing to Northwestern 38-3 halfway through the 3rd quarter and came back for a win. C'mon man!!!
TCU one was epic as hell but i think only reason they came back was because oregon qb was out all 2nd half and also it was awesome because TCU qb had just lost his dad and he did that. Amazing.
I was on the sideline for that Houston/Pitt game. I must say It was amazing to watch that pay out. I couldnt believe what I was seeing and thought it they would run out of luck. Im happy I was wrong because it was amazing. I was by the Pitt band and Students and its like the wind was taken out of them. By far the greatest display of offense these eyes have every seen.
Please. 1974 USC-Notre Dame. Catholics up 24-0, then SC ran off 55 unanswered. 1980 Holiday Bowl. SMU (with Eric Dickerson) had BYU down 45-25, and Jim McMahon threw a Hail Mary at the last second to make it 46-45, Mormons.
Oregon Ducks Football/Basketball I remember coming into the game. My Heisman level QB screwed over my team and left us with a Senior who only had like 30 snaps in his career. And Oregon just starts rolling us in the first half. I was upset because it was supposed to be TCU's year and it's being ended by a blowout? No that can't happen, that would break my heart. Then the second half happens and we get a score. "A little to late" I told myself, then we got another score. Then another and another and I started to have hope that we could make a game out of it. Finally that FG ties it! I couldn't believe it! We were going to overtime! When that final whistle blew in 3x OT and we won, I legitimately cried for joy, the fact that Bram Kohlhausen was able to make give me that miracle game blew my mind. I'll never forget that moment.
That was the greatest game I've ever been to. The Oregon fans behind me wouldn't shut the fuck up so I was trashed by half time. You have no idea how satisfying it was to see those obnoxious Oregon fans shut up real quick.
As Michigan State fan I like the Baylor comeback being on here but really if you were going to choose one from our team you should have chosen the Michigan State come back against Northwestern game from the mid-2000s which by the way is the biggest comeback in FBS history that should have definitely topped this list.
Eh I wouldn't say that started anything. John L was still the coach at the time. Great comeback and an awesome memory, but that year was an absolute joke otherwise
ALLDefLepp definitely didn't start our run in the Big 10. Following the best comeback, Msu lost 4 straight games to finish the season and got John L fired
It's not just point margin. Still considered one of the best collegiate football games of all time, Harvard "beat" Yale 29-29, scoring 16 points in the final 42 seconds in The Game. It was played in 1968 when the Ivies still had considerable influence and prestige .
Where’s the “miracle bowl” with BYU coming back against the “pony express” of SMU? That comeback is so historically great the scenario is even added into video games.... 3 scores in the closing minutes of the game. Is it just because the resolution isn’t the best?
Should have included Baylor vs TCU in 2014. Baylor's odds of winning dropped to less than 2% before they scored 21 unanswered points in the last 10 minutes of the game.
A video titled "Greatest Comebacks" is missing the greatest comeback record. Michigan State was down 35-3 late in the 3rd and came back to win against Northwestern. This is the current NCAA record comeback.
BYU vs SMU 1980 holiday bowl. Look it up. Cougars down 40 to 20, but score 21 points in the last few minutes of the 4th quarter to win the game. As big or bigger than any of these.
In the first one, yall only saw the offense scoring, but keep in mind that the whole second half the defense didnt allow points scored at all. Combacks start with defense
Where is the Maryland-Miami game in 1984?? It was considered the greatest comeback ever. MD was down 31-0 at the half. MD came back to win 42-40 against defending National Champion Miami.
I would have to argue for the Wolf Pack of the University of Nevada-Reno against Weber State in '92. Down 49-14 with 12:26 remaining in the third quarter, the Wolf Pack won by a score of 55-49.Yes, a much smaller school than those depicted here, but did any school here overcome a 35 point deficit and win by by 6?
Have not viewed it yet, but 1974 USC-Notre Dame is the Greatest Comeback in College football History. Here are the Reasons. #1. Both were Top 5 in the Nation #2. The Winner of this game would go on to win a National Title (USC won, but Notre Dame went on to beat #1 in the Bowl allowing USC to win a NC, Notre Dame had they beat USC would have won a NC) #3. USC still hold the record for most points scored the quickest in Modern History (55 Points in less than 17 minutes) #4. Every Comeback is won by a SMALL Margin, USC was down 24-0 with less than a minute left in the first half, won 55-24, a Comeback PLUS a Blowout vs an Arch Rival, never been done before or since!!! Let me repeat that last won. USC was down 24-0 with less than 31 minutes to play in the game USC was Winning 55-24 with over 13 Minutes left to play NO COMEBACK in History comes close to this one. Especially given the fact USC ended #1 and Notre Dame #5.
Well, that is technically just a 24-point comeback. TECHNICALLY. I like the Houston comeback the best because they scored almost 30 points in less than one quarter to come back... which included those several difficult onside kicks.
It's too bad this video and the comments only cover American college football. In Canada, there was a college game last year in which Western led Laurier 40-19 with under 9 minutes to go. Laurier would score three touchdowns + PATs (the last two of which within the last 3 minutes) to tie it. Laurier would then win 43-40 on a game winning field goal with 0.9 seconds to go! Included were several successful 3rd down gambles (Canada only has three downs), and between the second and third touchdown, they forced Western to fumble deep in their own zone.
Wow, once again Marshall gets stiffed. Did you forget about the 2001 GMAC Bowl where Marshall beat ECU after a 38-8 halftime score? Final score was 64-61. Geez
Maryland's 1984 comeback was led by QB Frank Reich, who had another famous comeback in the NFL, with the 1992 Bills in the wild-card game against the Oilers.
You know whats up
Uhhh, the #1 comeback (Maryland over the U) isn't even in the video.
You have to add the blocked FG by MSU in the comeback against Baylor. Also, MSU had a 35 point comeback with 6 left in the 3rd against Northwestern in 2006
A proud Michigan State fan is proud to confirm that it is THE biggest comeback of all time in college football! No team has had more than 35!
What about Maryland coming back from 31-0 against Miami in 1984 to win 42-40? It stood as the greatest comeback in FBS history for 22 years until Michigan State broke the record in 2006
Which he ALSO didn’t include😡
Miracle at South Bend 1991. Tennessee down 31-7 just before halftime with ND attempting a FG. Tennessee blocks it and returns it for TD. Tennessee wins 35-34 to complete the comback.
Thank you, Goddamit thank you. It is The greatest comeback ever. I will never forget that day.
@@ccfiberglass Lol that is not the greatest comeback ever. That is a touchdown, plus the extra point, plus a field goal, plus one extra point away from toeing the greatest. @@upbeatproductions7614 You cant have a greatest comeback win against Northwestern. They should never have been behind.
Thanks for watching! This is only part 1 so if you enjoyed this video, go check out part 2: ruclips.net/video/BQZUv-B7KKQ/видео.html
How could you leave out Michigan State-Northwestern 2006?
Yeah very dumb
Dude, you missed the largest comeback in NCAA history. MSU was losing to Northwestern 38-3 halfway through the 3rd quarter and came back for a win.
C'mon man!!!

Yo those comebacks are sick bra
TCU one was epic as hell but i think only reason they came back was because oregon qb was out all 2nd half and also it was awesome because TCU qb had just lost his dad and he did that. Amazing.
What about 1984 Miami vs. Maryland? Halftime score was 31-0 Miami while the final score was 42-40 Maryland.

So Lit Dre It was terrible!!!! lolz it was an epic comeback tho

Rutgers vs Arkansas was a even crazier comeback lmao
Then they played in that year's bowl game, which was the very next game, and FSU won
Where's the miracle bowl? BYU scored 21 points in 2:33 to come back and win the game.
A&M at it again
I was on the sideline for that Houston/Pitt game. I must say It was amazing to watch that pay out. I couldnt believe what I was seeing and thought it they would run out of luck. Im happy I was wrong because it was amazing. I was by the Pitt band and Students and its like the wind was taken out of them. By far the greatest display of offense these eyes have every seen.
That Houston game was incredible

I just see this video And I knew Oregon/ TCU would be in this.
That game hurt.
Sorry made a mistake. Bram had 27 total snaps that yet in only 5 games going into the Alamo Bowl.
UCLA FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT SCREW OREGON
I was surprised Kenny Wheaton’s run wasn’t included.
That was the greatest game I've ever been to. The Oregon fans behind me wouldn't shut the fuck up so I was trashed by half time. You have no idea how satisfying it was to see those obnoxious Oregon fans shut up real quick.
Should've done auburn Alabama 2010
fuck auburn
BAMA 4 LIFE
I don't even remember hearing about that Houston game, that was pretty amazing
i know these are all bowl game comebacks, but you should have put the MSU vs Northwestern game from 2006. That was big comeback by MSU
As Michigan State fan I like the Baylor comeback being on here but really if you were going to choose one from our team you should have chosen the Michigan State come back against Northwestern game from the mid-2000s which by the way is the biggest comeback in FBS history that should have definitely topped this list.
Gage Whitman drew Stanton I remember that game. That started our run as the force in the big 10! Go green!
Eh I wouldn't say that started anything. John L was still the coach at the time. Great comeback and an awesome memory, but that year was an absolute joke otherwise
🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
ALLDefLepp definitely didn't start our run in the Big 10. Following the best comeback, Msu lost 4 straight games to finish the season and got John L fired
I remember Oregon vs TCU
2016 Alamo Bowl right? It was the game before ASU vs WVU in the cactus biwl
That's a cool beat at the end what's it called or did you make that one?
It's not just point margin. Still considered one of the best collegiate football games of all time, Harvard "beat" Yale 29-29, scoring 16 points in the final 42 seconds in The Game. It was played in 1968 when the Ivies still had considerable influence and prestige
.
BYU, anyone? against SMU?

Michigan State vs Northwestern
Michael LaRocca ll not on here cuz Baylor game definitely outshines it that was a amazing effort by the Spartans no quit in em
casey stanaszek what? It was the largest comeback in college football! Great effort by offense, defense and special teams.
Bram Kohlhausen needs to be in the NFL. He could be the NFL's best backup for sure
I don't think he's gonna do it. Such a shame because that's his only college start.
Michigan state was the largest. I sat there and watched that game. They came back from getting blown the f out to winning that one. My goodness. 2006.
44-10
Where’s the “miracle bowl” with BYU coming back against the “pony express” of SMU? That comeback is so historically great the scenario is even added into video games.... 3 scores in the closing minutes of the game.
Is it just because the resolution isn’t the best?
As TCU fan the Alamo bowl was suck a big win for us
Shoutout to TCU’s kicker. Man was automatic.
Who was he i don't know?🤔
Should have included Baylor vs TCU in 2014. Baylor's odds of winning dropped to less than 2% before they scored 21 unanswered points in the last 10 minutes of the game.
No 1980 Miracle Bowl? BYU down by 20 points, 4 minutes to go in the game, score 21 points IN 4 MINUTES and wins!
Notre Dame USC and Notre Dame Oklahoma 1999. Not a good year for the Irish, but those were great comebacks.
#4 Iowa vs Indiana 2009, I mean c'mon that was a classic
What About THE largest comeback of all time MSU vs Northwestern back in like 06 or so

Jerry McCorvey one of them yet the largest comeback isn't in this video. Come on
Aye I went to the first one
Choke at Doak > Any other comeback
A video titled "Greatest Comebacks" is missing the greatest comeback record. Michigan State was down 35-3 late in the 3rd and came back to win against Northwestern. This is the current NCAA record comeback.
Now you gotta add Boise State vs Colorado State 2017
BYU vs SMU 1980 holiday bowl. Look it up. Cougars down 40 to 20, but score 21 points in the last few minutes of the 4th quarter to win the game. As big or bigger than any of these.
BYU was down 20 points with 4 minutes left in the 1980 holiday bowl. Won on a last second touchdown pass.
Tyler Radke great game, but it was the extra point that won the game. The touchdown tied it.
I knew the ducks tcu game would be up there....Go ducks...
Don’t forget NC State 27 point comeback vs. Maryland
In the first one, yall only saw the offense scoring, but keep in mind that the whole second half the defense didnt allow points scored at all.
Combacks start with defense
Poor bears thought. How could they not get a freaking feels goal.
i wish this video was made in time to put ucla vs texas a&m
Funny how Texas A&M is in the thumbnail.
lol
Well you can add the Utah BYU game to this list from last night
Where is the Maryland-Miami game in 1984?? It was considered the greatest comeback ever. MD was down 31-0 at the half. MD came back to win 42-40 against defending National Champion Miami.
USM vs Kentucky...USM scored 34 unanswered points and holding Kentucky scoreless in the second half
Michigan state vs Baylor. why didn’t you show the blocked field goal?
Tennessee Vols vs Florida Gators? NO?!
I would have to argue for the Wolf Pack of the University of Nevada-Reno against Weber State in '92. USC was down 24-0 with less than 31 minutes to play in the game
USC was Winning 55-24 with over 13 Minutes left to play
NO COMEBACK in History comes close to this one. Especially given the fact USC ended #1 and Notre Dame #5.
Jesus lol

Nicholas Garcia that's cool!
It's freakn Canada, don't they just play on 50 yrs fields don't they.
Timmy Pruitt they play on a bigger field

2010 Iron Bowl, Auburn down 0-24 against Bama wins 28-27

2:39 i think the craziest part was the chargers were 13-2
Tennessee vs Florida 2016
Timothy Bailey that was a great comeback. I remember Florida didn’t have even 1 first down in 2nd half until late in the 4th quarter

Penn St @ Ohio State 2017 needs to be added
Why was Texas a&m on the thumb nail?
What about UCLA vs Texas A&M
Duke vs Texas A&M, Chick-Fil-A bowl, 2013?
Might as well put Texas A&M and UCLA in here now
The Dark Warrior I was at that game about to leave but after I ran into the field super happy and I got a signature from John rossen
