Kenny sounded great for 75! You’re right he passes away in 2020 at 80 and the boys did the Kenny Rogers song The Gambler in tribute to Kenny. They did it during Covid. Such a fun good song. Kenny and the boys rocked this. Love it. Thanks for reacting to this. 😀
Another great addition to HFF! Fun how they switched things up a bit with each verse. Austin reminded us of his gospel influence which he got touring and preforming with his father when he was quite young. This definitely will get your toes tappin, perhaps bouncing in your seat.

Southern Gospel music is what Austin grew up on, traveling with his singer father. That, with his history of musical theater and, to a lesser extant, opera, really shows just about every time he sings. Austin has the most wonderful voice and it blends beautiful with the other beautiful voices in the group and beyond.

Kenny Rogers was really a nice guy
I got to talk to him after he played our college back in 1970 when he toured with The First Edition he had a few hits playing on the radio he said of himself he was a stylist more than a singer he was still playing stand up bass at the time as well.

Kenny passed away in 2020, but not from covid it seems. This is my favorite coillab that Home Free has done. This is a good ol' gospel Christmas song. It gets your butt moving
