    Here in Argentina we have dulce de leche, some bakers mix first red with dulce de leche and then mix with cream. Also mix first with orange and then red, thats supposed to work too, I never tried though

    I had the same problem with my Halloween Vampire Cake using the black colour. After applying the black frosting on the cake it wasn’t quite that full Black colour. Just by accident I had placed my piping bag in the fridge for 40 minutes and began the finishing touches. I noticed the finishing touches, such as the rosettes, are now a dark black colour. Thanks for sharing. Now I know the method works for Red too. Good to know- Cheers ! Chef Bari

    Thank you. I'm still unsure as you didn't put the chained buttercreams against the initial colour.

    Red is a very difficult color. One wonders if the same techniques apply to blue and green.

      @NicholasStein - I’ve done both the microwave (and double boiler for larger amounts of frosting) for red, blue & green, and they work well for all 3 colors getting the vibrant shade of each that I need.

    • @NicholasStein
      @NicholasStein 9 месяцев назад

      Won't that give you an orange? I suppose a tiny drop might help though. I shall try this.
