Great reaction. The word "yellow" is used as a symbol of warmth, positivity, and deep affection and signifies the brightness and significance of the person he’s singing about, almost like they light up his world. "Fix You" is another great heartfelt song by Coldplay. 🙂
The band was supposed to be in the video, but Will the drummer's mothers funeral was that day, so they were supporting him. The video was shot at double the framerate, and he had to sing twice as quickly, then it was slowed to 25 fps.
Glad you've got to Coldplay - one of the very rare groups that can hold their heads up high above the very average music that has been produced after the golden decade of the 70's. Do yourself a favor and listen to their 5th and 6th albums, they are far, far better. Viva la Vida.
He wasn't on that beach alone because someone had to be there to film him on that beach pretending to be alone. Perhaps that's the definition of being, "Yellow", like yellow journalism, pretending to tell the truth.
It's all been done and we've run out of ideas other to copy the originals, the masterpieces...Nothing is the same, just look at our sad excuse for politicians, then again don't bother, just listen to Coldplay!
