About a week later all of the Google apps began crashing. The same apps downloaded from Amazon’s App Store worked. It was so frustrating I ended up returning it. So, I got the S6 lite today and just love it. Thanks for the video!
I am still using old s6 lite with exynos9611 and still getting updates , yes is a bit slow but I think it can manage another 1or 2 year ,specially for a student use
Decided to go for the Amazon in preference for my needs. Fingerprint on the on button. Way cheaper than the Samsung price (reduced atm). Decent screen. Excellent battery life. Plenty of apps that I use and browser access for the likes of Gmail etc or simply side load (which is easy but using browser RUclips foe example, sideloading is unnecessary). I can't see a reason why I'd go for the Samsung for the additional £100 (looking at prices on Amazon just now). Ads are like in the kindle when you turn it on - unobtrusive. For productivity though I'd go for an iPad mini due to the better integration between apps (sharesheet and with the likes of OneNote). The decider for me was when you said where the camera is. For this size landscape is how I'd use it.
Glad I watched this video. I ordered an Amazon fire 11 Max for note taking for school using office 365 one note. I bought it on sale for $150 and the stylus for $35 a total of $185. Then I discovered the Samsung galaxy s6 lite which I found on sale for $250. The total dollar difference being $65 more for the Samsung galaxy s6 lite which as you pointed out will have a better software experience overall. Not to mention the extra $15 needed to remove ads on the kindle. After watching this review I decided cancel my Amazon fire order and instead buy the Samsung tablet. Sure, you might be able to side load apps you want on the fire table 11 max in hopes of taking advantage of the slightly better hardware. However , you will be missing out on application optimization and having owned a cheap amazon fire tablet back in 2017 with a side loaded google play store you should anticipate your Amazon tablet having issues with side loaded google applications. Think about it why would google want their software on competitors hardware? The extra $50 is worth it to me for a peace of mind and less long term software issues. Many of my fellow university students use iPad minis for note taking which are expensive! Feel free to ask me how my experience has been if you are in a similar situation as a student.

Got my 2022 s6 lite for $68 from Samsung directly with a work code and iPad air gen 1 trade. Got my new fire max 11 for $83 with a fire 10 trade in and $20 gift card...cant wait to test on Monday when my new fire arrives!
Clearly my investment on the mark. Haven't had issues with my 6 in the 4 thereabout months I owned it, among several SS products I upgraded too this year, each interconnect. Could not get a S pen at a better affordability.
I was thinking about gifting the new Amazon tablet with the stylus only, because I know she won't use the keyboard. But, as I watch this video and read some of the comments, I realize that she would be happier with the S6 Lite. Like me, she is used to the Google Play Store and the Google ecosystem in general. I believe she will be much happier with the latest S6 Lite. I'm still loving my older version, so I think that she will probably be getting one of my favorite toys for her birthday a couple of months from now. :)
Awesome video. I have a s6 lite. I'm surprised it's that much better than the newer fire. The only other thing to think about is since the s6 lite is older, Samsung won't be supporting it much longer with security updates.
In all fairness there is only one add that appears upon opening the lockscreen of the Fire tablet. The numerous adds in this video starting at 6:54 only appear at the initial setup of the Fire tablet.
I haven't heard about the Fire Max or that they have one with a stylus. I am always here for competition and for bargain tablets. I have S6 LIte; so, you know I am a fan. Ivan doesn't even bother to wait to the end to give his opinion... hahaha... When Amazon says this is a productivity tablet, I guess it is in comparison to their other tablets. But to the rest of the world of tablets, this is probably still a basic tablet since their basic tablet is budget/bargin tablet. Does Amazon pays Google or Google pays Amazon to load Play Store or Android operating system? Samsung has it's own app store, but it also has the Google Store; I think that is the smart move. If Amazon is going to the stylus game for artists or note takers, they are going to need Google/Android. Android is already behind compare to the Apple market. I can't image Amazon anywhere close to Google. As an artist, staying with Samsung is a no brainer. Amazon is going to have to recreate all the apps if they want to catch up to the race. This feels like the Fire phone, I don't see it surviving the market.
Not really a solution if you're looking to project your tablet screen to a class or lecture theatre projector. Major gimping of the Tab S6 Lites by Samsung, but its mitigated by Google Chromecast, which you can do from the tablet as long as you have a Chromecast on the projection device.
the thing is you can find the fire 11 on sale alot more. on prime day i traded my fire 7 and got 20 credit and like 30 percent off a new fire tab and it was also on sale so i ended up only paying 90$ for the new fire max 11. but at regular price yeah the galaxy is much better deal.

Just grabbed the S6 Lite 2022. Watched a lot of videos and you always give good, clear information.

The S6 lite (latter version) was on sale last year for €249. A bargain with pen and DeX as little laptop alternative.

Fire 11 max: I purchased mine for $200, 128 gb and no ads. I side loaded everything. Very happy. I bought this send iPad air 6, I prefer the fire.

The Samsung Tab S6 lites major weakness is: it does not output video signal at all, not even mirroring. Does the Amazon tab do this? Not mentioned.
