Multiple beautiful tones and melodies that I'm hearing on this video. Listening to such entices me to get back into playing guitar. Wicked Game sounds so good, even as just an instrumental, especially being so well played with such a beautiful tone.
Outstanding as always, Jason. I was a little late to the party, so I'm giving it another go from the beginning. Ana 1 ana 2... 😁 Purple Rain and Lenny are two shining examples of what this setup is capable of in the right hands.👏 Sweet guitar... very clean sounds coming out of that thing. Thanks for sharing and have a great evening, man.👍
Thanks Crow for watching, yeah they’ve always been a couple of my favourites of SRV. This is basically how I’ve learned them from age 16... I really should learn them the right way or go back and see how to play them correctly lol. Thanks again. Cheers!
@@JasonHobbsGuitarist Maybe you should, but maybe not. You are an Artist, your interpretation of those songs is your way of expressing them. I can listen to Stevie play them, and I can very much enjoy watching someone else play them. Stevie seemed to play almost the same on every song, while Jimi never played a song the same way twice. Stevie interpreted Jimi's songs Stevie's way and look what we got. Not a clone, just another exquisite version. I enjoy watching you play songs your way. I don't care as much about the gear you are using, as I do what music is coming from your mind and hands. So I say, just play more. I will never be able to own your guitars, or your amps, but I have my own guitars, and my own hands. Watching you inspires me to work harder and enjoy what I can play. I am getting old, and will never be a good guitar player. But I have had fun trying for the last 50 years. I just play be ear, but I am not a natural like some. My only lessons are watching guys like you play. Thank you..
@@crowhaven200 thanks for the kind response and words. That really makes my day when I hear that. I’m glad you’re still passionate about guitar. I totally agree with what you said, I feel the same. I generally play things the way I feel it. Musical expression is everything. That’s what made hendrix great for sure. :) By the way, thanks for the continuing support, I really appreciate that. Cheers my friend.
Thanks Wendell! Not at all, the strings are getting a little dull on the guitar so I need to put some new ones on, I’ve played this guitar a lot in the past couple of weeks. Same strings. Lol thanks again for checking it out. Cheers
@ 8:40... the bluesy clan is really damn good, especially the bridge and neck combo sound... I have Aldrich Pups on my guitar and have been thinking something with the Thornbuckers or the SSV combo to have a little more subdued sound like this... its really great tone.
Cool, I think either or would be fitting. They are lower output PAF style pickups, my favourite. You can always get more gain by adding boost is how I like to do it. Let me know how you make out. Are you putting them in a Suhr? Or les Paul? Cheers!
Hi Jason What a fantastic tone and incredibly sound.Especially I liked Lenny & Riviera Paradise song of Stevie ray Vaughan. Can you share tone settings on Strymon Big Sky & Strymon Timeline on new video? Cheers& Take Care of you
Thanks man! Really appreciate the kind words. Unfortunately I just dialed the settings in but didn’t save them. It’s not far off the stock “cloud” factory preset. Same with the timeline “reverse delay” , that one I never touched. I hope that helps somewhat, thanks for listening, Jason
Superb sounds!!! I'm debating myself between a Suhr classic antique and the Alt T. I like in between sounds and versatility. The Alt T seems to be a thing!!!
Thanks man! I’ve since sold mine and kept my Suhr Classic T antique… much more “tele-like”. I replaced the alt T with a Gibson ES-335. Completely happy with it. Cheers!
@@JasonHobbsGuitarist thanks. Would you say that the Alt T has some in between sounds present in the starts, but that the start style guitar is not as versatile as the Alt T?
Oh it’s a Swiss Army knife for sure. I can’t see anyone who loves humbucking semi hollow style guitars not liking it. I’d really compare the versatility to a ES-335 type guitar. I tend to think of a strat for neck and bridge pickup only, I really don’t play much in the in between configurations. There’re all there though if you need em. :) I didn’t really hear strat tones from the alt T though… I hope that helps. Cheers
Never been so comforted by a guitar purchase - it's expensive but, good grief, it does the job. Playability is extremely important to me and this guitar is faultless for my medium sized hands.
Hi Jason, thanks for sharing the video. I'm also really interested in the Alt T Pro. Did you changed the pickguard? I thought the original one was white.
Thanks! I’ve since sold this guitar. Went back to fender … I’m much happier. Suhr is a little to modern in feel of the guitar for me. I much prefer the Fender Necks for playability. At least for me and my style. The suhr sounded pretty good but the feel was very different from what I’m use to. ✌️
Hi Jason, how does the neck profile feel on this guitar? It seems to check off all the boxes for what I’d like, but I’m hesitant because the measurements look a little chunky. Thanks!
Great demo! I'm under the impression that in positions 2&4 it splits the humbuckers and plays in single coil mode, is there any 60's cycle hum? I'm guessing because it's Suhr, there isn't.
Yeah it’s a good feature, as you turn down the volume you don’t lose the high treble in the tone. It’s a nice feature. Suhr’s are awesome man! Congrats on the Alt T bro. Cheers
Hey, my Alt T that had thorn buckets was a rosewood neck so it appeared darker in tone to me. I preferred the maple neck Alt T with the SSV’s more to my liking. A little brighter but I kinda attribute that to the maple neck too. Cheers!
Hey Jason ! Have you had a chance to compare the Suhr Badger 35 to the 30? If so, which one had the better cleans to your ears ? Great stuff as always !
No sorry I haven’t but Jack Griffiths has a great video comparing the two. Like me, he prefers the 35 over the 30. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated Kevin. Cheers!
That’s why I play Suhr amps, I totally agree to a point. I do love old black face fenders too though. I’ll probably have one eventually. The suhr’s are really nice sounding dependable amps though. Number for cleans in my books. The hedgehog has really nice cleans too. Cheers!
THANKS FOR CHECKING THE VIDEO OUT, PLEASE KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR MORE UPCOMING VIDEO CONTENT WITH THIS SUHR ALT T PRO, CHEERS!
Looking for a desert island guitar and I keep coming back to this one. Thanks for the demo, you just made the case stronger for this one.
@@DanRivers-v4i thanks man! Good luck. Great guitars. 👍
That clean sound at the beginning is so crystal clear it’s beautiful
The cleans are great on this Alt t... I’m not too much of a clean player but I do dig these tones with some added bigsky fx. Thanks again bro!

Where'd you get the one ply pickguard man?
Hi Jason, thanks for sharing the video. I'm also really interested in the Alt T Pro. Did you changed the pickguard? I thought the original one was white.
Thanks! Yeah I changed the pickguard to black. I like more than the white pearloid on the plain wood. ✌️
