The fact that Steven who's a millionaire only had one family car speaks volumes to me. It's not like he couldn't afford another one obviously. He only had one car to control his wife and where she goes imo.
I don't need a shrink to tell me that a man screaming at his 7 months pregnant wife "I will fck you up" after a tirade about how she's avoiding her wifely duties is a domestic abuser.

I hope she's well hidden and has informed her local police that if they receive a call from here they need to hurry the fuck up.
I have been in a relationship similar to this. He controlled everything. I was in fear of him. Some days I couldn't even breathe correctly in his eyes. Thankfully I finally got the courage to leave and never look back. I hide in a DV shelter for a while got a RO. I also received counseling to help me heal and see a life beyond. Watch what happens. But if you speak, you lose. But gage your narc first. Better to learn about this behavior before trying any stunts. Never know when a person is on the edge.
Anyone who has been in a relationship with a narcissistic abuser recognizes the patterns seen here: control, gaslighting, word salad, projection, flipping responsibility to the other person, lack of willingness to compromise or make amends. Dude is at the least a psychological abuser. Good for her for leaving. I hope she can get appropriate therapy to help her heal.
I am grateful for the 40 years I had with my wonderful late husband, especially after seeing videos like this. My Kevan treated me very well and I miss him terribly. It is painful to watch marriages devolve to this kind of behavior, especially when children are involved.
She decided to divorce him with newborns…tells you all you need to know. Any woman that is willing to leave her partner while taking care of newborn twins has to be completely feeling unsafe and exasperated
No not really, women leave all the time. You could flip a coin and determine whether your wife will divorce you. That's why the marriage rates have plummeted. Men are finally waking up and realizing yal bitches ain't shit really.
@@AccessKelly Because he came to the realization that you bitches ain't shit... Men rarely, if ever leave women. That alone speaks volumes. She had to have done something egregious. “Discipline and Respect” I respect my man because he doesn’t go around lecturing me about how men are to be respected. He treats me with respect, and I him. Then the discipline part, I don’t even know what to make of. Does he mean he’s going to discipline her, or she needs more discipline?? Because as a woman 8 months pregnant with twins, she seemed pretty disciplined not to get angry and emotional. Maybe he needs the discipline 😂
Every relationship has shared responsibilities, whatever you choose to call them. If she chooses to ignore these responsibilities, she has no respect for him.

😡I left a marriage like this a couple years ago. One car and all. Ex worked out of town for INDEFINITE amounts of time leaving me with 2 young kids for up to 3 months at a time. When he came home and I had the car, my freedom was grocery shopping. If I took "too long" he called to passive aggressively pressure me to hurry up and come home. When I got home I would find he hadn't bathed the kids, fed them, and had thrown their dirty diapers out on the lawn. He was the man of the house dominate and all powerful... too manly to even feed his kids a proper dinner while I was away, and I... just a lowly woman - only fit to stay in the house and cook and clean . I don't miss those days.
What are you teaching your kids by staying? I'm not saying leave now, but many adults, plenty of them commenting on RUclips, talk about observing the dysfunction in their parents relationship and how that had such a negative impact on their own personal relationships. Just a thought.

I noticed Crowder said, "I drew a boundary at abuse and cruelty," as if he were telling her that she was not to say those words to him. He even says to her "Watch it." I know, because my narcissistic bf does the same exact thing to me. He threatens me and the kids into never saying anything about his abusive behavior. They will outlaw words that make it impossible to speak about what they are doing to you.
@@islandgirl1818 why is the answer always please leave? My mom divorced and married my stepdad when I was 6. They fought like crazy because he was a Korean War vet who needed his drink and she tried to get him to stop drinking. The cops would be called and we had to escape every weekend to go to her parents. Eventually , she gave up trying to dry him out. The next several years were the best of my young life. My parents got along. Great, my dad would have his drink, and he was always a charismatic drunk. He would arm wrestle me and let me win. We would play Monopoly and he would get a drink ring all over the board. We had a great time. One night my mom said hey, would you like to come for a walk with Patty and I, and he said that’s OK I’m fit and trim. When I got home, I saw the chair was tipped over and his nitro pills were all over the floor. I rushed to the hospital, but I knew what I was going to find. My mom was already in tears. He had died of a massive heart attack. Can you imagine if my mom ‘just left’? What would happen to me? I got bullied and into a lot of fights at school. Before every fight, my dad would teach me new moves how to fight. Every time I was cocky and confident I would lose. Every time I was afraid and got some tips from my dad I would win, even though I never was able to apply anything he taught me. Because he taught me it was as if He was right there with me. I was really hard on my girlfriend for the six years before we got married, but When I got married I tried to be a good father and husband, and I vowed to never have any of that crap go on at my house. We're watching a very small snippet of someone's private relationship. This video has no context. Get off your high horse.
It's too bad that Mr Crowder will be growing up, oh his unborn child growing up without a father figure in this man. But I surely can't imagine many a seasoned judge not granting full custody to the Spouse . Good thing she had a 💍 RING.
He probably only has one car so he can control his wife's ability to leave. Just like how abusers like to control their spouse's money, possibly allowing them a fraction of their paycheck as an "allowance" if they behave in the approved ways. Hopefully, lots of skilled divorce lawyers are reaching out to her to do pro bono work on her behalf.
When did crowder have his heart surgery? Maybe he couldn't drive at that time? I'm not defending him. Just wondering.. mostly cos... only one car? Really? I doubt it.. The short one told me that the big one´s wife would call him to cry her heart out over his husband taking away everything from her over time telling her he´d protect her and she wouldn´t have to work or leave the house. Until she was fully trapped. Complained about his stepdaghter to me that she dared to ask him to buy some drink boxes for her 18th birthday while she sufered from BPD and cut her arms. The time the small boss was telling me about it he already had pinched my backside twice in the passing, the 1st time "out of friendship" and the 2nd time "for educational puposes" while his girlfriend worked her *blank* off as our driver. That made me so angry! He’s a spoiled, angry child in a man’s body. I suspect the real reason he rejected the offer from The Daily Wire was because he didn’t want his wife getting half in the divorce.
He cannot bring himself to say "I behaved wrongly." So ultimately he shifts the blame to her as "wrong woman" while making it sound like he is good at apologizing "I did something (choosing) wrong."
I think it’s very sad that he acted this way while she’s literally carrying his child. His focus on menial tasks instead of her well-being shows the condition of his mental and emotional state.
@@robertanderson5092 I was thinking NPD/ sociopathy. Pair that with the action/reaction between the two and it is pretty sickening. Not only that. When he announced the divorce on his show, he made a comment that really had me feeling suspicious. Regarding his wife, he said he “chose wrong”. Like wtf is that supposed to mean??

One can be legal, the other one might not be. Whether recording phone calls (conversations) is legal depends on where both (all) parties are localized. In some states, only one party has to consent to the recording, in some both (all). It gets more complicated when the parties are in two (several) different states, with different laws. But from what I understand, courts tend to rule along the stricter state's laws. Since nobody seems to have sued Crowder successfully over his recordings, I assume they are likely legal. I don't see why this is considered "underhanded"; if both (all) parties making a call/having a conversation understand that they might be recorded, then it is up to everyone to keep that in mind and NOT say certain things. I furthermore expect this to be good business sense and a wide-spread practice where legal. As for releasing the ring doorbell footage, if it was not done by Mrs. Crowder herself (the term "family" seems to indicate it might not have been), it raises the question whether or not this was legal. No state allows the publishing of *private* material by an uninvolved party (i.e. people not present). Completely regardless of how one interprets Mr. and Mrs. Crowder's behavior, the legality of these actions is clearly defined by law, with plenty of precedent. That's all that matters in this case. And to take the guesswork out of the equation: I don't have enough data to make up my mind about this recorded conversation. If anything, the fact that this specific, very short video was leaked at all has me even more cautious about trusting either side. I'll wait and see.
@@p.s.shnabel3409 as i understood it, Hilary was the one to release the footage...or is that information inaccurate? If she didn't release it, and didn't give permission to anyone to release it, then I could see a legal problem... I was more or less commenting on the ethics of it, someone who routinely records conversations with people without their knowledge being upset with a video of him being released, not so much the legality of it is a bit hypocritical. I've liked watching steven for years...sure it looks bad, I'm not happy with how he talked to her, but there's always two sides to every story and I wish he would make a statement...but maybe he's waiting due to legal reasons. It's very likely that she is the aggressor behind the scenes and we simply saw a moment where steven had been pushed too far....I know plenty of guys who have been in relationships where the woman would push and push to get a reaction, and when the guy finally reacts the girl would play innocent and make the guy seem like the aggressor....we don't have all the information....I got pretty upset and wrote him off automatically simply because I saw a pregnant woman and heard him saying he would f*** her up...but as I took a step back I realized this could very well be a smear campaign...kinda perfect timing with Tucker getting booted and politics gearing up for election season....
@@davids.3725 All I can find is that the person who first released the video very generically speaks of Mrs. Crowder's family ... that is not the language I expect to hear when he got the material from her personally. It is an interesting question: did Mrs. Crowder give the material to her family, telling them to do with it as they wanted and they then went ahead and contacted a journalist? If so, is that still legal? I don't know. Again, I personally don't see any irony in Mr. Crowder recording business conversations. I don't live in a state that allows it, but if I could record without consent, I would, too, as a business person (e.g. from a legal point of view, verbal contracts are binding - but extremely hard to prove without a recording). I also subjectively feel that there's a vast difference between business conversations being recorded and one's private life. For example, when we go shopping, we know that many places will record their customers. If that were published, I wouldn't feel violated or betrayed. On the other hand, if any of my family members had recorded our interactions and published those, I'd be very angry and feel that my private life is none of the public's business. It is so incredibly easy to make someone look bad, especially if one pre-plans the whole situation. Especially in a marriage one knows which buttons to push. So yes, I agree with you; we don't know what went on before/after. The snippet we get to see does look bad, taken at face value. Not so bad if one is willing to wait for more context. Mr. Crowder could be a controlling monster, Mrs. Crowder could be a manipulative psychopath - or both could be a little bit of everything (which I think to be the most likely scenario, IF I were to guess). As for her pregnancy, well, she's pregnant not ill. If we were that fragile that some harsh words would endanger an unborn child, there would be no humans. No, give us some credit - and treat us like capable adults. As long as there's no physical altercation or creditable threat, no harm, no foul. Mr. Crowder's last words in the video could possibly be seen as such a threat but considering he apologized immediately and overall seems to use expletives freely , I am not sure that they actually do. Again, more data is needed. Ah, the timing. Yes. There's that. It could be coincidence, but considering the Times published that very informative article about how they "fortified" the election in 2020 (their words, not mine), I think this is something people should keep in mind. But even so, without evidence this is pure speculation. And rather useless at that. If we want to make the best decisions we can, then waiting for the facts to come out in full is our best foot forward. That goes for both those we support and those we don't. If I may ... I'd recommend you'd give A Black Conservative Perspective a chance. It's a RUclips channel, I think the name says it all. Greg (i.e. the young man who runs the channel) is mostly level-headed and in my opinion does a great job trying to report factually, while still being entertaining. Be well and thank you for the conversation.

Reminds me of my dad. He'd come home after multiple night shifts at work and pick fights with my mom over petty things. He'd be pretty damn mean about it. Left my mom confused and exhausted, always tip toeing around him to avoid setting him off. He treated me this way too. I don't know what happened here, I can't possibly know all of the context. Sometimes Words hurt more than fists. Emotional wounds don't always heal. With physical abuse, you can see the damage. But emotional abuse is hidden. Not enough people take this kind of abuse seriously.
He's worth millions, yet his wife has no money for an Uber, nor has he bought her a car for her and their children. Something is seriously wrong in this situation. It feels dangerous.
Worth millions feels a bit off. Compare other right wing pundits like a Megyn Kelly or Ben Shapiro. Kelly was a fox news host who's take home was in the millions because of her contracts which she's no longer apart of but Sirius XM is probably giving her a nice chunk of change. She was also a NY DA even if it was small time Ignoring that her husband(s) were very lucreative. Her current (permanent) one was a multimillion dollar CEO. So they have fuck it money. Ben Shapiro is Jewish. Nuff said. Sorry if that sounds antisemetic. Its not. Just like Asian cultures they care more about intellect and hard work. Also small time lawyer who is surrounded by other multimillionaires. I think DW in and of itself is trash but he's EE and co owner over the platform. But all of this leads to Crowder. His parents aren't rich. His wife worked in the healthcare industry but they aren't rich. LWC is his only source of income which does insanely well but it doesn't make 30, 15, or hell even 10 million dollars in revenue. Once you factor in all of the stuff that takes to run the show Crowder's take home is modest but definitely not insane. He's definiteely hitting hitting a few 6 figures. Now that I say it out loud he'd be richer if he expanded and he used to say he wouldn't do it because its about doing something to make him happy and he was trying to humble about the future of what he wanted to do. Now we know that's not it. Its because he wanted to hog the spotlight and the thought of hiring more talent that may eclipses him scares him. He didn't want a "Brett Cooper" stealing his thunder. People have said that abusers do this. They limit their living to modest convention to control targets but I honestly believe this is more ego than Crowder being a true abuser. Escalate an argument that increases her stress level and negatively effects the babies? There's no excuse for his actions.

Misogyny is a strong word to throw around when discussing a man arguing with a specific woman. Not every negative interaction between a man and a woman is necessarily motivated by that difference.
@@Torgo1969 it's every word he said to her it's every excuse me made there after - he spoke of wifely duties. He spoke that she should not be given a divorce because he doesn't want it and she should not have the right to be granted it. He thinks he is God. Yes he is a misogynist!
@@celestewarren8548 Nothing that you wrote constitutes "hatred of women as such", so I am unconvinced. Did he state that she doesn't deserve a divorce because she is a woman and he is a man? I would consider that as evidence of misogyny but did that happen? As far as "wifely duties", that refers to the traditional division of labor between the vast majority of husbands and wives throughout the history of Western Civilization. If the husband earns the money to provide a house that he cannot enjoy for dozens of hours at a time because he is out earning money, then the wife should do a decent amount of work in the home to make it a pleasant haven for when he arrives home after work. This is nothing unusual at all. If he perceived (correctly or not) that she was not living up to her end of the deal, then it is her alleged behavior that is the issue, not the fact that she is a woman as such. Show me evidence that he hates women as such (and not merely resents one woman's behavior in the context of his marriage) and I will acknowledge his misogyny. As I have posted here and in other forums, he is behaving disgracefully here, not at all like someone deserving of admiration. But I have also been accused of "hating women" because I criticized the words spoken by one specific woman, and this kind of defamation is unacceptable.

How normal is “I will fuc* you up” when said to one’s wife when she’s 8 months pregnant with his twins? @BattleMage52 you're obviously just a fucking kid. You have no idea what married people say to each other on a regular basis. After 9 years of marriage you know everything there is to know about the other person. You get into shouting matches over small petty bull shit. This is why divorce is so high right now because people are unwilling to work through their problems and just want a way out. If you think marriage is money and honey and you're gonna get along at all times and never fight once you are immature as fuck.
So you havent seen the testimony of their nanny? While Steven was working 15 hour days she had a nanny and her mother and other servants taking care of her children and the house while she watched tv or slept in her room. He still managed to be more interested engaged with them than she. Coming home tired to that, could you blame his frustration.
@@julianmanjarres1998 the video is from late June 2021. He had his elective surgery in July 2021, even though Hilary had pleaded with him to wait until the twins were born. The twins were born in August and Steven wasn’t there for it.
Interesting. Allow me to suggest, with evidence, that being a "non-cinservstive" also means you take care of your family....yup, it's true. Anyway, have a good weekend
His biggest problem is that he puts HIMSELF first. It's becoming more and more apparent that that is the case. It was fairly apparent some years ago. It became more so after the Daily Wire incident. Even more so after Dave Landau left and shared his experiences while at the show, and now we have this footage. He is a narcissistic diva who demands to be treated as some kind of king while treating those close to him like garbage. At the same time, he claims that HE is the victim! I followed him a lot of years. I hope he gets the help he needs and can be humble enough to know he needs it.
Its the reason I came to see Dr. Grande's take after viewing "Officer Tatum's" video, Crowder was completely in NPD mode (imo)... the way he seemed to be controlling his wife (can't take the car, keeping her at the house, basically cutting her off from the outside world); trying to manipulate her psychologically, gaslighting her, I would even say engaging in "word salad" (that whole "worthy" thing was pure manipulation); his wife knows she's being abused yet continues to say she loves him... oh yeah, he's been working her so long she doesn't know if she's coming or going. I've watched Crowder for years, I do think he is very intelligent and especially in terms of politics (as an atheist I just disregard the religious aspects of his show)... but seeing his true face makes me sick and I'd rather never see him again.
It’s scary and sad when you see a manipulative narcissist manipulate a therapist’s words to manipulate their spouse: “I drew a boundary.” No fault of their previous therapist. But it’s scary the number of ppl he was able to convince he was a good guy. Listening to this took me back to my own similar relationship. It’s so obvious to me from the outside looking in. But when you’re in it, it’s exhausting. Like you’re in a fog that he’s convinced you that you created just to spite him. She’ll be in my prayers ❤️❤️
I went to a therapy session with my boyfriend at the time. Something had happened and I didn’t want to lay down and take it like I usually did. So we talked to the therapist about it. I was a mess because it was kinda fucked up what he did so I told my side of the story very emotionally. Then he told his side. He was more coherent than me, was calm ald steady and he had all these reasons why I was wrong for being angry. He literally blamed me for what he did. I should mention he was very smart, good with words and a master manipulator. The therapist took his side and told me to communicate better to him what I wanted. Until the end of our relationship this was his new ammo. I didn’t communicate clearly enough so “he didn’t know”
@@FenixFluff Sorry that happened to you. I've had a similar experience with family as a teenager and was also a victim of child drugging. Very damaging to all parties involved since the narc is also poorly serviced by having distorted thought validated.
@@RunninQHsRock oh yeah. And then the “don’t you see how you block me in”. Everything is her fault. And he probably thinks this is communicating your wants and needs to a partner. This made me cringe so much and I am proud of her for remaining calm. I hope nothing worse happened when they went inside.

That argument AND she's 8 months pregnant with TWINS?? Pregnancy & childbirth is such a difficult experience, totally unlike anything else. It's so hard. I can't believe he would talk like that to her and be so demanding to her while she was in that state. Pure abuse.
Crowder just got out of a major surgery where he almost died, and could barely breathe - the doctor told him to take it easy and didn't, then ended up BACK in the hospital. I'm assuming that's why he wanted her to do all those things even though she was pregnant, if so he is right here. I've seen plenty of 8 month pregnant women still at work. This is all taken out of context, and wouldn't surprise me if she is the selfish one. Also seems like a gold digger to me....she waited until they had kids to get a divorce, classic gold digger move!
@Jimbo Jones way to mental gymnastics yourself into thinking she's the bad guy. Yeah, he DEFINITELY seemed like he couldn't breath while he berated her. News flash, being pregnant makes it hard to breath too.

He appears to be, from what I see in this video clip exactly the kind of person I thought he’d be after seeing his show a time or two. He has always struck me as the kind of guy who always has to be right, even when he’s wrong. He will just get louder and more aggressive (or obnoxious depending upon your perspective) until he wears you down or you walk (or run) away. I’ve had my own experience with someone like that. They use very similar arguments.
There's a reason former cast members from his show disappeared without explanation and aren't allowed to speak publicly about it. He makes them sign NDAs. Dave Landau didn't sign an NDA and he recently told some things that went on with him and Crowder, including a phone call in which Stephen screamed "I OWN YOU!" to Dave when Dave questioned him about something.
and the medicine that he wants her to administer to their dog is toxic to pregnant women. I don't know why I'm commenting, I've never heard of Steven Crowder.
The old school saying is that you never really know a person until you start living under the same roof as them behind closed doors without the cameras on you. Good analysis Dr. Grande.
That's actually a load of c*** period most of us know exactly who we are getting with long before we ever do. He's a complete jerk there is no doubt period. But I GUARANTEE she knew he was a jerk when she dated him and married him. She was drawn by his status and wealth, then chose to ignore reality
@faeriegraver fair enough. That said, It would be nearly impossible for her to, NOT know he was an a$$ before she married him. Hey. Regardless, the "a$$" should have known better than to get married. He's done
Yikes. Being married to him sounds like a nightmare. In addition to owning a 2nd car, have they ever heard of Hello Fresh or Amazon Fresh? Maybe a maid? He makes millions of dollars but he's discontent with her "wifely duties". This whole argument felt like gaslighting.
I think people assumed he played up for the camera to be entertaining. Most are baffled he treats his pregnant wife worse than teenagers he's debating for a pandering comedy skit.
"Steven Crowder may be surprised to learn that in the United States it is legal to own more than one vehicle" . Ha! 😆 Thanks for the laughs, Dr. Grande. You're always killing it with that dry sarcasm.
Agreed! I'm on the left but this isn't about political lines. This is about a woman who has been mercilessly abused for years. I don't care who she votes for, I just want her and their children SAFE. They video was heartbreaking and I'm so sad for her, especially the uphill battle she'll have with the divorce proceedings. She deserves so much better!
Everyone is talking about how bad he is but if he is a POS what does that say about her? She chose to spend the rest of her life with him but now all the sudden she is finding out who he is? If women are this bad at choosing a partner then maybe going back to arranged marriages.
She's 8 months pregnant with twins. At this point, there is little she can do physically. The fact she wants to get up and go out is a good sign. He should be running circles around her trying to make her comfortable, emotionally and physically, except he's making demands on her to be "wifey". She's doing the right thing trying to get away from him because this was getting heated.

Having to ask for the car keys is a red flag in any relationship. Sounds like when she asked he brought up every other “fault” of hers to start a fight. Life is too short to live like this. Excellent commentary, Dr Grande.
Having to sit in your house, with no indication when you may be back, is a red flag. The fact she takes everything for granted and does whatever she wants, is a red flag. The implication that he HAS to be on a schedule, but she isn't, is a red flag. The fact she wants the car, to go out all day at 8 months pregnant, is a red flag. On top of that he makes all the money and is still required to bow to his wife, who's basically just a dependent. So he does all the work, makes all the money, and is still required to sit there all day while she goes out shopping all day and returns when she feels like it. When she knows damn well they have one shared car. Seems like a power trip for her since she has no other power, or claim to power, in the relationship. Dependents who live off others and sit around all day doing nothing don't tend to have any power. Hence why the car is her one grab to have some kind of control over the man who takes care of her every need and want.....

This video just made me sad. A man who has it all, just cannot control his anger. He needs help and she needs to get out. No woman should be talked to in this way. It’s a game changer for me. Having been in an abusive relationship I recognise that behaviour and have total sympathy for his poor wife . The fact she’s standing is no accident. It’s a subconscious stance to facilitate an easier escape. God knows what that woman had to deal with behind closed doors . She is better off as a single parent than walking on egg shells to avoid angering an abusive husband.

The fact that she was eight months pregnant and was able to not go ballistic on this guy is a testament to either her self-control or her fear of his reaction. Thank you! I have tried watching his show several times and found him off putting. After seeing the video clip of how he treated his wife, I realized he’s like my ex-husband. That video was uncomfortable for me because I was treated similarly for almost 20 years. Last night, Crowder left a response video. He says he has signed releases of all records-- financial, mental health, etc- to be released. Again, threats my husband made. I fully agreed. Behind the scene, my ex contacted me four times by email and was begging me for a legal separation (I still have the emails) instead of divorce. Where I live, divorce records are public and he was terrified of his family seeing things and ruining how he’s perceived. He truly did not want any mental health records released and thought it’d make me back down. I didn’t care who knew what. I question if Crowder’s brief response video is, like my ex’s, a scare tactic on his wife.
"I don't love you" and "I've never felt love from you" are two completely different things but Steven puts them together in this conversation as if they are the same thing.
Very very cruel thing to say to the woman carrying your children... Straight to her face. Unbelievable and unforgivable. Shows what a selfish and cruel person he is
I believe Steven's 2nd statement is intended to suggest that although she claims she loves him, he feels her actions are inconsistent with her words. Basically, he's suggesting she doesn't really love him and he doesn't love her.
It's rejection. He's rejecting his feelings for her and rejecting feelings from her. Classic narcissist move. Rejection hurts. It's intentional to punish her. SC is an abusive a-hole.
As soon as I saw the footage I was hoping you'd cover this, since you covered his spat with the daily wire. Thanks for keeping us up to date Dr. Grande!
@@jasonolinger7585 I would have almost agreed with your statement but I don't believe women that have a low self-esteem intend to seek out a narcissist, absolutely not. Narcissist can portray themselves to have this great confidence, charm and consideration that many woman would desire, but unfortunately it's deceiving as you begin to notice it may primarily be displayed in the public eye. Due to narcissist desire for public attention, than just pleasing their spouse. The Narcissist can display this fairly well and some of us as women will try to deal with it and may succumb to it until it just gets too unbearable. Many times it can be a slow progression to where they cannot keep the 'show' going. Then their true disdain will suddenly flare up. So, it can be different characterizations of narcissism. This is just silly. Pregnant women (nurses, pharmacists) handle medicine (chemos) all the time. I'm a cancer ward nurse. I have had chemo all over me numerous times. It's literally zero risk.
@@barnagotte7297 You must be a careless chemo nurse. When the nurses gave chemo to my son, they came in gloved, gowned, face shielded. You just let it splash all over you? Perhaps you should be more careful...
@@barnagotte7297 If you were actually a real nurse, you would know that "it's literally zero risk" is completely false. With proper precautions, handling chemo is "minimal" risk, but it is never "zero" risk. And because the risk is not "zero", pregnant women should avoid, or at least minimize, their handling of chemo. In some job environments it may not be possible, but many jobs involving chemo will work to have the pregnant employee doing other tasks as much as possible, rather than directly handling chemo.
It's a shame to see her so pregnant and going through this. Arguments are a fact of life, but it shouldn't devolve into making her do something she feels is dangerous. My wife avoided various cleaners and other chemicals for concern it would harm my children. Now with two healthy kids I can easily say thank you.

it is an accurate portrayal tho. cons are always talking about being strong, masculine men, that are the head of the household, what are you talking about?
My late husband was very conservative, as am I. He was NOTHING like this man. He treated me with respect and love. It has nothing to do with being a conservative or otherwise.
I think that almost every woman has had a relationship similar to this, on some level. We carry those scars. Whoever needs to hear this, please never settle. We accept the love we this we deserve. Keep your scars and let them be a lesson. Scars are the only things you have to prove that your past really happened. When you come across a man like this, they will never treat you with respect. You will never fix him. You will lose sight of who you are. A man with this much rage will project. It's almost never your fault, they are truly angry at something else.

He wishes he had chosen a submissive, brain dead partner who would tolerate all his abuse. Sad thing is, there are women out there like that.
I think it's kinda rich that someone who records phone calls regularly had his ring doorbell footage released 😆

Had this video leaked even a year ago, I would’ve most likely assumed there was nothing wrong with his nagging at her for tedious tasks and “respect”. The damage of a narcissist is so scary and can greatly warp and convince you their behavior is completely normal, especially if you’re born into it. I’m glad she was able to get away from him despite the heartbreaking circumstances. :(
You’re clearly on the path to healing and re-learning what healthy relationships look like. It’s never too late 😌

Narcissists always tell on themselves. When he said there was no abuse that meant there WAS abuse. He slipped the 'no physical abuse' in there.
Isn't it just like someone with something to hide to attempt to couch his language? Anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see through that.
Sometimes Words hurt more than fists. Emotional wounds don't always heal. With physical abuse, you can see the damage. But emotional abuse is hidden. Not enough people take this kind of abuse seriously.
Narcissists always think their time is more valuable than yours.
Hes literally is. She preggo with a nanny. Wtf is she doing.
I don't think Hilary's family would let it slide if he truly was that bad. No way it'd have lasted as long as it did. No. I think its because Crowder legitimately didn't want to share his money with his wife.
Because he honestly believes he'd be less of a man. It's sad and scary at the same time.

Things you didn't touch on - I found it alarming that he was smoking around his pregnant wife. She was 8 months pregnant with twins. The physical toll on a woman at this stage would make her less able to do the things she would normally do. Walk the dogs? Handle potentially harmful medications? Escalate an argument that increases her stress level and negatively effects the babies? There's no excuse for his actions.
She could miscarry under those conditions

You shouldn’t worry about it because a narcissist/psychopath hates everyone.
So all things are going to be applied by them, racism, misogyny, homophobia, anything that they can utilize to vent out their hate.

The surgery also served to increase blood flow to his heart. And there is an entire minute of the 3 minute video that was conveniently edited out. I’d be very interested in seeing what was removed before jumping to conclusions.

@@lynnsmith399 I could elect to take iron pills and that would increase the blood flow to my heart, but it wouldn't justify my skipping the birth of my twins, would it?
100% a threat. He's an apex asshole.
Grande!
it's fake. equality for men!
His focus is on controlling her. You never get to that level of control, without having alot of that going on for years. What a horrible person.
I feel so sad for her. His attitude is so damaging to her. She is heavily pregnant and he has no mercy 😢😢
I was surprised to find Steven was even married based on his mannerisms. She is a trooper for dealing with his super whiny mouth.
women with self worth issues seek out narcissists, this happens a lot.
Surprised he was married to a woman anyway lol
Believe me I've been there and lived with it for 17yrs until he made the way for an exit.
The fact he was DEMANDING her to give “toxic to her babies”…..medication to their dogs……disgusting
Might want to reword that... makes no sense
@@Kat-I-am3333ok
Steve wanted his wife to give their dogs some medicine
Hillary wouldn’t because the medics is possibly toxic for pregnant women.
In the original video that is why Steven Crowder is saying “ get some gloves and take the dogs in a walk after”
Hope this helps.
I hope she NEVER put on those gloves! This video was infuriating. An 8 months pregnant woman is vulnerable and needs to feel safe and reassured. Her husband's behavior is terrible and pathetic. Thank you for this excellent video, Dr. Grande!

@@somethingelse4424
Would you pay me $1 for each and every conservative, who isn't like Crowder?
This is a toxic personality disorder- has nothing to do with conservative or liberal.
it is an accurate portrayal tho. cons are always talking about being strong, masculine men, that are the head of the household, what are you talking about?
You consider him laying around. Strong? Haha
Amen. God Bless
I feel so sorry for his wife. She’s 8 months pregnant and he treats her like a stranger. Sad and awful
she had like 10 years to figure it out, i'm not that sorry for her.

@mimimi queweq Given all the college students he 'debated' I believe so. At the very least he didn't scream at em.
Everyone is talking about how bad he is but if he is a POS what does that say about her? She chose to spend the rest of her life with him but now all the sudden she is finding out who he is? If women are this bad at choosing a partner then maybe going back to arranged marriages lol
He chooses to have one vehicle as a means of control. You of all people know that.
He does and pretty much said so
You of all people?
His recent video shows now apology; he says the clip was taken out of context and he is threatening to release mental records. In other words, he is planning to gaslight her and make people believe she is crazy. I truly hope the conservatives cancel him and his wife gets all his money in the divorce
right-wingers new thing is "context" because the just learned what it means, but they don't know how to use it in a sentence yet.
Even if this were a one time thing caught on camera (though I seriously doubt it was), the fact that this one argument happened, with his perception of having the right to control her like that, and expect that she handle dog food she's worried about while 8 months pregnant with twins with gloves on, says all you need to know about him. He's a narcissist. Through and through. Even being capable of thinking and saying these things once makes makes him an absolute trash person and a horrible husband and father.

He certainly presents many undesirable traits, but I think anger is probably the worst of all. It’s not only scary but it shows a lack of self control in stressful situations.

@@KermdoubleO7 this wasnt anger. He was trying to maintain control over her. He was treating her like a child. It's not like he just yelled at her. He told her he would "f*ck her up" just because she wasn't doing her "wifely duties". That isn't anger. That is abuse. That is power and control.
Control freak
This is a good example of a narcisist that continued to push himself forward until he was well known. The characteristic never changed only the recognition. Now the true charactrr is revealed to us. Take note
I'm so glad she had this video. These abusive men say the most horrible things. It's easy for them because they haven't really invested emotionally, but the woman has invested her whole life and self.
This argument isn't about a car. Not having another car is a form of control. It is all about control, trying to "make" her put medication on the dogs as a wifely duty? That's sick. Imagine being 8 months pregnant with twins and dealing with that guy psychologically abusing her? So scary she had to be anywhere near him.
The fact that she stayed with him as long as she did just demonstrates that she has the patience of a saint. His childish behavior would’ve driven me nuts way sooner
Maybe she thought she could fix him. Hell, she could have even thought that crap was cute at one point but not anymore.
You never know.
To play Devil's advocate, I'm sure that there was a lot of good stuff about their relationship too because it lasted so long. But either way there is no excuse for their behavior He exhibited In that clip, and I feel bad for his ex, I would have tried to get away from that too in her position.
