If you really have $ 200 K..you should give it to reputed firm like LGT (and there are many more) to manage and diversify your funds..

Inflation sometimes could be due to monetary policies for fiscal management, and not directly related to Supply-demand. What is the difference between consolidated & standalone p&l statement. how to decide which one to check while analysing any stock
Consolidated P&L means P&L of holding company and it's subsidiaries combined statement. E.g. Tata sons is holding company and tata motor, tata power, tata consumers etc. are it's subsidiaries. P&L of all these companies together is called consolidated P&L and only of Tata motors seperately is standalone P&L Stmt.
