EP09: You Should Get a Canon P!

So like many people I see the Leica Rangerfinders as some of the best film cameras on the planet. And Also like a lot of people I can't afford a Leica so I did the next best thing and got a Canon P.
I want to do more videos on this camera in the future. I think a deep dive on how it works and how I use it would be great idea. But for now we will just step in the shallow end and tell you guys why I love this camera and why I think you should get one too.
This camera never lets me down! The Canon P is one of my number one go to when it comes to shooting on the street. There are handful of other Canon rangefinders but this one for me is definitely the goat.

Nice video, I have the Canon 7 and the meter actually works, it's a brick like the Canon P but it takes great photos. Thanks for sharing and keep shooting

I purchase a Canon 7 Rangefinder in lieu of the Canon P after I found a solid deal of it. I absolutely loved this camera but eventually gave it away to my little brother to buy a Leica M3. I must say that although the Leica is built tougher, the build quality of the Canon 7 was no slouch either. I created images with both cameras that I absolutely loved using the Canon 50mm f1.4 TLM lens. Awesome video!

I came so close to picking up a P. Was actually looking at the Canon VI-L, but ponied up for a Leica M3. I'd love to compare the M3 with the P sometime.

@@cents2mp I probably would have stuck to the Canons but I really wanted to use the M mount over the older L39. If you ever want to move to an M3 or similar generation, they can be had for quite a bit cheaper than the M6s or the like. And yes, the M3 is the nicest constructed camera I have aver used. Until I try the Canons :)
