      I am having trouble on how to use youtube. I use my phone and I think I need to use a laptop or a desktop computer. I don't know how to make my home page look more professional and I don't have any filming equipment. I am 35 with two young boys and makeup is my passion. I wanted to start my channel but I have realized that its way more complicated than I thought. I love watching your videos and hopefully I can learn a few things along the way.       Mommytomakeup dorton I made my channel banner using an app! If you have a smartphone look up RUclips banner or thumbnail maker! Yes, starting a channel can be SUPER overwhelming. It requires a bit of money but if you have an iPhone 6 or better or a good smartphone you should be able record and edit right from your phone (is that what you do now?) I use an actual camera and a MacBook Pro to edit.

      As long as you’re charged and receive your box what’s the issue? I think some people think they’re gonna get charged on the first and get their box within 2 days like, relax! If you’re getting your box around the same time every month, what’s the issue? They have thousands of subscribers I’m sure and I doubt they charge everyone’s card the same day and ship everyone’s box out the same day. People need to relax a little I think. Some people have unrealistic expectations I think. Like I said, as long as you get charged and receive your box around the same time every month, what’s the issue?

      You guys are my people. I think the entitlement has gotten worse. People want instant boxes with $300 worth of high end makeup

      @@teal_panda_8434 Yep. Raising kids to expect to get what they want when they want it is the opposite of what you want to do if you want to raise kids who grow up to be mature adults. So many people have been raised to bitch and moan and complain until they get their way and they are not even embarrassed about it. I was an Army brat and my Dad refused to tolerate any amount of whining, crying or bitching. I sub to three subscription boxes and between working full time and taking care of my family I don't have time to stalk a subscription box, I get it when I get it and I'm always happy with the value of my boxes. Of course there are a few things I could do without but these companies are catering to a wide variety of people, not just ME.

    It’s true, I work for FedEX especially this time of the year. We have HIGH volume of smartpost packages. ALOT of packages show that label have been created. They don’t even get scanned until it gets delivered. Because sometimes, some packages sit on containers & we just sort them without scanning.

    love my boxy, but when something arrives damaged. they give charm credits but never have anything you can use the charms on. been waiting 6 months to use my charms.

      Kasual Beauty I love it also been with it since March and no issues. But I'm also patient. If it doesn't come by the 30 then I'd whine. But I get mine by the 15th. Love it!!!!!

    I have never had any of these problems and I’ve had Boxy for 6 months. I get all the right shades, my box comes on time, nothing comes broken. I love it. It’s a present to myself every month and I don’t buy as much makeup anymore.

      Brandi Giles yes I’ve been loving it too! No issues since the CEO reached out to me and rectified a lot of the issues I was having! :) now I’m happy with it and do unboxings and try on style videos! ❤️

    That’s crazy I’ve been with them for 2 yrs and I love them lol . The shipping is a little annoying if you think about it but I’m usually so busy that I don’t keep track of the package.

      Exactly. This person has way too much idle time on her hands if she's constantly thinking about her box and firing off enraged emails to Boxycharm. She should hitch her wagon to causes to really be enraged about like sex trafficking, people who have been wrongly convicted of crimes and sent to prison and on and on and on. She's very spoiled and sheltered if getting a box of makeup late enrages her.

    I have been w/ BoxyCharm for over a year and never had a problem. They have to custom make each box. Patients is a virtue. That's one of the ways they keep cost down. They don't even charge for shipping people act so entitled these days. Stop stalking the package and enjoy it when it comes.

    They've changed a lot of things. Payment usually always comes out on the 1st, and there is no waitlist anymore.
    I definitely see your frustrations, and I totally understand why you chose to cancel. Its your right as a consumer to take these reasons and not want to take your hard earned money for something that you feel is undeserving, and nobody should tell you otherwise.
    I just wanted to let people know who may be looking into boxycharm and stumble upon this video, that changes have been made, and they are even making better changes. They will implement a quiz, which in some odd months down the line, you will begin to receive products that better fit your skin color/haircolor/etc.
    For the time being, there are tons of swap & sell boxycharm groups on Facebook.
    Also, they will have boxyluxe coming, where you can pay more money to receive more products. You will need to already be a boxycharm member to upgrade, and there may be limited spots for that at first.

    I have never seen any package that ever took as long as Boxycharm to get delivered.....well, QVC does take forever to ship but their orders come in randomly for the most part. Boxycharm knows exactly when they are supposed to be shipping their boxes out. It took FOREVER for me to get my first box. It was past the middle of the month before I received my first box and, of course, when the tracking said it was delivered.....it actually had been handed off to the PO!

    I subscribed to Boxy Charm but after being on the waitlist for 2 months I decided to cancel it since I no longer had the money, I email them about it and they say they will get back to me in 48 hours...well after a week of not hearing anything they took me off the waitlist and charged me!

    I cheat and i now have the fedex app and it updates wayyyy faster than boxycharm. First of all-I still haven’t received notification from Boxycharm stating I was charged (came out on the second), haven’t said my item has shipped...yet I look at fedex and it shows arriving on the 14th. If a FedEx App can update my shit then BoxyCharm sure as SHIT better be able to do it. I haven’t canceled only because if I get stuff I won’t use I give it away. But it’s sooo frustrating!

    I have no issues with Boxycharm. As long as they ship my box someday in the month I could care less. The values are insane. I don't get the problem.

      June Peterson can’t take advantage of the value if I have to email customer service just to get the box shipped and to receive the product, as explained in this video. Also- the pinned comment also mentions part two of this series :) I have boxycharm no and since the CEO reached out to me, I have had no further issues and enjoy my subscription.

    Things are totally different now. This is my 2nd year with them and you can see the progress each month. I started getting mine at the end of the month. Now I get mine around the 10th. Naturally is varies bc it goes on a 30 day basis and not a certain date of the month. But now once I get my tracking number it comes before the updated. It's been this way for abt 6 months now.
    Tbh tho. I've never had an issue. As long as I get the product in good condition I'm happy.

    If you scroll through their legal section, they state a bunch of things that cover their own asses and if there’s any problem with your box, they’re basically saying “screw you you’re on your own”

    Thanks for the heads up. I recently cancelled my ipsy bc of just crappy stuff to be honest. The smallest samples I've ever seen. I contemplated boxycharm but very hesitant bc of ipsy.

      Bridget White boxycharm is amazing! You should totally try it out :) She's just complaining about something that's really not a big deal. I've been getting boxycharm for years and I've never had a single issue.

    I must be a lucky one then, I get my box the second week of the month, and their customer service has been great, the best part is that they do send colors that i picked on my profile 🙃

    It's WILD that you've never had a problem with Morpheme... just days after I signed up my card was compromised and there are thousands of others in the same boat. You might want to cancel that sub.

    I have multiple boxes that say they were delivered that were never delivered. Their customer service is awful and i talk to someone new every time. They tell me that a neighbor must have it or it must have been stolen. I've been at my apartment for a year and this is the only company that I have ever had an issue with.

      Right? I love all the makeup and with the amount they get, they could easily afford better customer service. I'm willing to forgive this stuff for superb service ( ala dollar shave club). But I'm seriously considering canceling. I never got my limited edition, complained and one person told me I couldn't get it replaced and then the next said I could. Let's see if I get it, ugh.

      Miss Kelly Renee apparently they have had data breaches and people have had their card numbers stolen! So proceed with caution! I recently learned this. Ya can’t win!

    It’s so crazy how bad boxycharm is with customer service all over their Instagram people are just posting about it. I have the same things happen to me with the shipping and the label. So frustrating!
    I really wish more companies did what morphe me does with the swapping if you don’t like something that would make it so much better! Great video!❤️

    I hear you ALL THE WAY! I am awaiting my very LAST Boxycharm box and I am done! I am tired of getting an occasional box that enticises me to stay but sure enough several months later all boxes are not even half good! Also, I'm constantly missing items and have to jump hoops to get my items. Receive broken items and have no chance of getting another because it has to be within 14 days of receiving and usually I do NOT use the products immediately and BOXYCHARM states "Too Late"! I get charged on 2nd or 3rd and ALWAYS receive what I call "second picks" and have asked many times... Why? They say it's random yet go on RUclips to find same ones get the best box... I am so DONE! Thanks a lot for your video! Enough is enough and more need to speak out!

    I had the same issue. I had a tracking label for 3 weeks and it went into the next month and still no box. All they said is they were working on getting more product. Nothing makes me cancel something faster than getting charged and no product!

      Makeup Junkie right! That’s why I get irritated by the shipping. They just don’t care. They charge you and make you wait and wait, or not even get product at all!

    They left an item out of my box in October and I emailed them to tell them...Well I never heard back from them on it, so I'm out that product! I love boxycharm but as you said, customer service sucks!!!

      Jenny Lynch oh wow... that sucks! Yes the box itself is pretty awesome and it’s cool you get full sized high end stuff.. but the customer service makes you not wanna give em your money... regardless of how good of a deal it is!

    I am sick of Boxycharm Premium waitlist bs too! I am subscribed to all 3 and have had problems in the past with my regular subscription not renewing. They said it’s my credit card but it’s the company they use for billing! Cust service is awful (watch my video). Now it is happening again and I just emailed them again but getting ready to cancel all 3 subscriptions before I go through it again. Worst experience with any makeup company EVER! I will use the money to buy makeup I actually want. Happy to see I am not alone!

    I have never had a problem with boxy charm. I get it every month, sometimes at different times of the month. I get my email and I know it will be at my house in about a week. You still get it by the end of the month. Its always received. Not only that but I have also had a few items damaged in the mail and they have worked so well with getting back to me right away and replacing items.

    I subscribed to Boxycharm back in July when they didn't have a waitlist so I didn't have problems with that. I've also never had any shipping issues, though I don't receive my box until the end of the second week or third week of the month. I know many ppl have the issues you talked about though. I'm cancelling my subscription after this month b/c I've decided to go cruelty free and the products just haven't been impressing me honestly. Yes, it's a good value but if you don't really like the products you receive it's not really a good value for you personally.

    I agree with the shipping, I only get mine on the west coast, later in the month, it sucks because they already have spoilers for the next month out. But idc because I'm happy with my boxes and the deal is amazing.

    USPS is notorious for slow delivery especially on subscription services. I’ve had them all. They scan items as delivered when it hasn’t and a bunch of other issues. I understand it is cost effective to use usps but I would rather pay more than utilize and get damaged packages from USPS

    Exactly part of the reason I am cancelling. It does not take 5 to 10 days to mail out a box of stuff. Like TF? Nope. I dont pay $21 a month to wait 3 weeks for something I pay for

    5-10 business days, I wish that companies (including the one I work for) would just say "2 weeks" since people don't understand that Saturdays, Sunday's, and holidays are not business days.

      Kat Connor I think the issue here is more so at the time they would print labels but wouldn’t actually ship the items.. at least that was my issue! But it has since resolved and I’m back with boxycharm

    This seems to be a hit or miss type of thing.. and it was just a miss for you... I on the other hand never had any issues but I’ve been with them for some time now. I think it’s becoming hard for them to keep up with the demand and so potential subscribers are being lost due to this... well good luck for the future

    This has been an issue for me too. Half the time they email that they have to reprint a label and ship again. Some months I don’t even get my box until the following month. It’s also an issue with my morphe me brush subscription.

    I think BoxyCharm got SWAMPED from all the fantastic reviews... Hence, the waiting list, the shipping delays, and (from what I hear) declining quality. I'm still on the wait list, so I guess I have to wait and see.

    Personally I enjoy opening my Boxy Charm boxes. Its like a nice gift for myself each month. I usually receive my box by the 17th of the month. It's worth the wait. Quality make- up for $21 a month. I don't have any complaints. Maybe too many matte lip colors but besides that I'm happy. Boxy Charm rocks!! 💃😘

    I like boxy charm for the most part. It get here when it gets here waiting doseny bother me. But I did cancel luxe this month Becuse I was not impressed, but I'm still getting the regular one because I pre paid. I'm sick of them sending out matt lipsticks too and I always get some weird color. I hate how matt lipstick looks on me. I do like the lip glosses.

    I really hear your frustrations. The only part I would play devils advocate about, is it's possible the shipping label is created around the time a customer is billed (if there's a problem with the payment they probably don't ship the box). Since you were further down the line you got your box later. But for me, Lip Monthly and Beautycon are the boxes I've had issues with, cancellation and refund issues. It took Beautycon tons of emails where they kept telling me the same thing and in total about 8 months to wait for my refund that was over $100 for an annual service (they never sent my initial box which was the reason I signed up so they promised a refund). It was a nightmare and I'll never use either of their services again!

      Melissa Thomas yikes!! That’s AWFUL! As far as the label goes- in my experience the label was not created when I was billed. I tried my best to explain this in my video.. I tried my best- I had so many thoughts! Lol it would make sense that the label would be created once billed. That would be awesome actually! I think overall we can all agree that customer service as a whole in this community could be improved! I think all of these comments are great! It really shows the inconsistencies within all of this!

    I also can not stand the tiny samples with other boxes. I just had to cancel them! I got a “full” size product in one and it was supposed to be a full oz. I literally squeezed the tube until both sides were touching and no product came out! I cancelled!! If the one item that is supposed to be full size doesn’t even have hardly any product in it then they are obviously doing this on purpose and I do not like being scammed!! Can’t stand it.

    If you're getting your box at the end of the month every month you're still getting them exactly a month apart... do you want to get them sooner than a month like what's the issue?? Like if you get it on the 29th every month you're still waiting only one month in between??

    Yes I have a channel. I just started and last month my kids were so sick, so I didn't film. They had a few items in the shop this week but sold out quickly. Boxy told me they put new items in the charm shop at the end of the month.. Review your products in your box every month and you will get 5000 points in no time. You can review all the products for that month, not just the ones you received. Thanks for trying to check out my channel. I haven't gotten any of my subs this month to film.

    I've been having this issue but it's not the company it's the shipper that's bringing it to you. I bought pet tags off of shutter fly and it said "label created". Whenni complained shutterfly said ups is losing shipments. They sent my stuff all over the place.

    I'm having an issue with boxy right now. I purchased the skincare box. Great products
    Well, I went to use the Elemis night cream, pumped it 20 times, nothing. Next day pumped it 40 times, nothing. E-mailed them, they want a picture. What??? I told them what good is a picture if you can't see the actual pumping? I sent a picture. They write back, the picture doesn't show its defective. WTF!! I told them that. A friend told me to try getting the top off. Low and behold, the top screwed off. Looked inside the can, its EMPTY!!smh! E-mailed them again, haven't heard a word. I'm so over them!

    I tried all 3 Boxes trying to find one that worked for me. I NEVER got products I could use. I’m light skinned. Like any lighter and I’d look like a vampire. I get products for medium and dark skin tones. The products I got to “chose” NEVER had choices available even though I would try to chose the first day. I’d ask for no foundations, hair care, powders, or bronzer because I really don’t use much of those or didn’t want them so of course that’s mostly what they sent me. I only ever got maybe 1 item I could use, two if I was super lucky. One time it was all supplies and not all very good ones like junky, fall apart easily makeup brushes, strange pads for different things that were garbage after using and cleaning them, a curling iron sized for a child, and some sponges. So bizarre and honestly a waist of my money. I ended up giving everything away because no one would buy items, even though the product packages themselves were unopened, because of the pandemic. I had piles of junk makeup basically. I would have been better off going to buy my own stuff

    If you usually get your box at the end of the month, why not just look for your box to arrive at that time. Then you can have your box and do your reviews. If your box is not there by the last week of the month then you could always contact them

      Tammy Brown Barajas that wasn’t the real issue outlined in this video. It’s not so much how long it takes, although that is annoying, it’s more so that there was fake advertising going on, poor customer service and never getting confirmation emails, shipping etc.

    Last month I was charged for my box. However I never received it. So I emailed them weeks ago and still no response ugggh. Their CS is horrible. This months box was all bad except two things.

    Just to let you know if you download the FedEx app and sign up for the FedEx Manager. It will let you know what packages come to you place or post office. I haven't had bad experiences with boxycharm. Since I have the FedEx manager I get notifed a couple of days before my subcriptions send me an email with my tracking.

    Press 92 in front of your tracking number while tracking it. It will update where your package is each time you start your tracking number with 92. And you can actually can watch it. Travel all the way to your town or your home. I also hate the shipping situation. But I love my box. Every month. So the waits worth it.

      Jessica Walsh I have! I was just informed... however I have frozen my morphe me subscription and I personally have never had any issues! My word of advice would be to use a credit card that has really good fraud protection or PayPal if they take it. That’s what I do!!

    Hi, first time seeing you & I enjoyed this video. I can 💯% relate to this. I also signed up early November to Allure, never got tracking info, just got a box 3 weeks later. Also just received an email saying they were out of the Tarte blush and I would be receiving something else as my gift which I find disappointing and weird that they would notify me a month later. Lastly, I created a second Boxycharm account to try to get a box as a gift and was put in the waitlist. Waited almost 2 months and gave up. And I agree, lately I haven’t liked almost any of the products. The biggest meh moment was when I redeemed boxycharm points only to never receive my products. I emailed customer service, they said they would resend - never got it. I re-emailed them saying I don’t really care at this point but would like to inform you in case of future incidents and they basically replied cool thanks. What?! And as a side note, the whole LE box thing was such a hot mess. Not worth it.

    Be careful with the Live Glam subscriptions!!! I have had a couple friends tell me their cards were compromised when they canceled. One of my friends has their card maxed out upon cancellation. There is a lot of credit card fraud going on.The ones my friends were subbed to were Morphe Me and Kiss Me.

    I saw an ad on Instagram from boxy saying I would get those specific products. This was in early October and they had a cute palette so I ordered. They had me on a waitlist until December and then out of the blue they take money from my account. They really should warn someone

There has recently been a whole slew of people come forward saying that there has been fraudulent charges on their credit cards in varying amounts from different places. All of these people are Liveglam subscribers. Here For the Tea on RUclips actually has a very informative video on this. Please keep a close eye on your bank account because people are getting charged a lot of money. Xo

    Same thing happened to me with boxycharm as your boyfriend like i was literally on my phone when the email came in and logged right in to my account and updated it lets just say ive been on waitlist since ocober as well. Its just bullshit. And atleast u got a response to emails i didnt at all 5 emails no response at all

    I've had a Boxycharm subscription for probably 3 years. The money comes out on the 1st of the month, and I receive my box between the 14th and the 17th of every month, consistently. Not sure why you had such an issue with it.

      Courtney Leach my issues were resolved :) there is a part two to this. However I will say, about a year ago, when this video was made, lots of others had these same issues.
      I actually get my box now around the 10th :)

However it isn’t so much the wait.. it’s the fact that when you pay for something that comes via mail, getting a tracking number without having to email customer service for it is a given. Also, being put on a waitlist, but having the website advertise that “limited spots are available” is a giant issue. That’s very misleading to new customers especially.

    I cancelled Boxycharm because I would get the email to rate my box to weeks before I received my box! The customer service is terrible! And, I loved their products. But, I would see RUclipsrs open their box like 3 weeks before I got mine! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who is fed up with them.

    I’m actually glad I cancelled boxycharm. Don’t get me wrong I liked the Pur Soirée Diaries palette, tarte lip paint, Becca opal highlighter, but most of the stuff I get I don’t even use it. So finally I cancelled. I joined Tribe Beauty Box instead they are new. They just had their first box. It costs more, but I think the quality is awesome. They send you items for your face, skin prep, eyes, brush, and lips. Which I liked. I got the tarte clay face sculpting palette. I also like that are bi weekly since it does cost5$ including shipping. But I was shocked my package came in 4 days and arrived in Christmas Eve.

    same deal they charge me the 2nd of the month. and by the 15th if I email them and ask where is the box? then they send me trakin infor and i get box in few days. i never get it before the 15 but they take my money on the 2nd. and i never get traking info emailed to me at all unless i email 1st and ask. is like i have to remind them to send it to me every month or what? ill get it on the 30th? that shit does piss me off. then evryone and their mother on youtube who are affiliated gets it by the 5th of the month but fuck the rest of us pesants i guess.

    I haven’t received anything they messed up my email first once that was fixed. I haven’t received anything else from them. I actually went to wander beauty and ordered the mask I wanted that is supposed to be in the box and I’ve already received it. It took them five days. So Boxycharm is sucking if you ask me.

    I had this problem with boxy charm I was charged 11/2/17 and I never recived my Nov box to this day. I reached out to them and they sent me a tracking number for October box so I received another tracking for Nov and it was never shipped from the FedEx warehouse. I emailed boxy charm and they basically said that is no longer responsible once it leaves there company. Talked about piss. Boxy charms charge me for December and this time I received email stating my box on the way. If I have the problem I had last month I will cancel them for good.

    Boxycharm is the cherry on top for me, worth it, yes they never send shipping notification but regardless they always arrive 2nd to 3rd week of the month which I have no problem with at all, I had a payment issue and the give you a pretty good time before they remove you off the list, as soon I updated my information it was right back on no problem

    boxy charm is okay. some months the products are amazing, some months just alright but overall it's worth the money. I was on the waitlist for like 3 weeks and then a few weeks later i received my box. Just dont see the big deal with the tracking/shipping if youre going to get the box anyway?

      Well if the label prints for shipping but shows no tracking info and no acknowledgment that the shipper has received the item, that is concerning because at that point you don't know if you're going to get the box. As I explained in the video, I would have to message them just to get the tracking info. I basically wasn't even getting shipping notifications until I reached out to them. That might not be an issue to you, but others it is. If I am paying for something, I expect to receive the item faster than 3 or 4 weeks after I am charged.

    I'd recommend Julep. You can pause your boxes whenever you want, preview your box and swap out the items e.g nail polish, makeup, tools.

    I had them for about 6 months, then as soon as I didnt have $30 sitting in my bank waiting for whennthey decided to charge me (because it varied and I am a poor bitch), they put me back on the wait list. Then I would get an email stating they decided to take me off the waitlist, after I done spent all my money on other things. The kept doing this for a few months. I am on the waitlist again. Boxycharm was the only thing I got for myself, I cant afford anything that comes in the box if I were to buy it from the store. They are annoying the crap out of me.

    My boxycharm used to come at the perfect time every month (around the 15th) and I loved it! Last month, my Cover FX spray bottle came broken and it took weeeeks to finally get a response back from their customer service. They told me they’d send me a replacement product this month. I still haven’t received a box, a tracking email or a response back from customer service about my next box. I’m hoping this doesn’t turn into a trend. It seems everything went downhill from the release of the limited edition box!

    i have had success with Dermstore's beautyFIX box. it is mostly skincare items rather than makeup, but for those who love trying new washes, moisturizers, toners, masks etc (i am a huge skincare junkie) it is definitely worth it. my first box was mailed out in maybe 2 days, with tracking information, and i recieved it no lie within 5 days of ordering. no wait list required. the sample sizes are decent too, and they also have full sized items. the value of the boxes is $100+ and the box is only $24.95/mo.

    That's crazy, I've never had a problem with boxycharm, and the one time there was an issue with an item in my box the customer service was so over it and was so helpful... But do you know what subscription scouts the crap out of me, morphe me... I go to try and change a brush and it says I can't change it yet, then the payment goes thru want it says I can change it so I go in to switch it up and it says already sent out. I use a beauty blender so how many foundation brushes do I need, grrr

      Kristy Kreme I tried morpheme for a while and then I heard about all the controversy so I cancelled it! I actually ended up resolving all of the issues I had with boxycharm :) if you want, you can check out part 2 to this video. I might take this video down because all of my issues have been resolved. I keep it up because the issues I experienced were real and I still feel this opinion is relevant because some people are still having the same issues as I am.

    I used to work at a warehouse, when we would get the order we would create the label and put it on the side. Once the items was pulled then we attached the label and sent it out. So it could sit there for a long time.

    I just canceled my subscription. I know people rave about this subscription, and I get it, but it isn't for me. This month's box was not good. I'm only keeping 2 of the items and the rest I've put up to swap. This was the same case with the first box I received. Maybe I'll sign-up again sometime down the line but not now.
