Analysis of Splatoon 3 Motion Controls on the Nintendo Switch

The responsiveness of the motion controls in Splatoon 3 has improved so much since the last game, but there are still a few setbacks that we'll just have to adapt to as we did before. This seems to be due to the inefficiency of the Nintendo Switch hardware.

Make “If Link Could Talk” for Tears of the Kingdom!

Splatoon 3's gyro definitely doesn't feel as responsive as it could be as I do think smoothing is applied (especially on the vertical axis), which culls out some input to create a "better" experience. I wish you can change how strong the smoothing is, but Nintendo hates options.

I thought it was just me having issues finding the right vertical axis. Seems like it needs to get fixed indeed if even others have the same issue

Everyone tells me to use motion controls because they're so superior. But a nasty combination of shaky hands plus vertigo makes that a non-option for me. I did try. For like 30 seconds in the practice lobby, which was more than enough to nope me right back to stick controls.
