    Hi! Thank you! This is my bailiwick. At times I would (of course) need to also engage their supervisors. Much accomplished though one risk is that another team member will get more tangible rewards.
    My skills at managing an employee in addition to leading them is something I am working on, but improvement is there.

    Thanks for sharing, I have been this selfless and helpful person in many teams, more times than not, I have just found myself being taken for granted instead of being liked (influential), maybe I am doing it wrong

      @sookwalinga - I suspect that you are being too nice. It is a really hard balancing act to get right. Be nice, be helpful, be selfless to a point. If they don't reciprocate, then tell them what you expect. If they still don't reciprocate, stop proactively helping etc. You are much better off spending your time helping those that do reciprocate. Do your best and work in a way that feels right for you. J
