  • After 48 days in a tent in freezing temperatures and trapping Alaska's bounty for 40 days, it's time to pull up the trapline.
Although Alaska's trapping season goes well into March, I'm off to other adventures. I'm happy with my haul of fur from my short line just around the camp.
It's been the trip of a lifetime, but it's not for the faint of heart.
If you're planning a solo trapping trip to the interior of Alaska, be prepared to self-rescue.
You, and you alone, are responsible for your own survival.
Having said that, I did run into some helpful people along my journey. Namely from the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game and from the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
A "shoutout" to Shawn, Mike, Sierra, Jon, Zach, and especially to Tess for helpful advice and extreme professionalism.
I also want to thank Doug and John for driving 14 hours round-trip to spend the day on the trapline with me.
Thanks for watching and subscribing (I finally made it over 1000!)
