Definitely my favourite role! Love how much impact you can have even as a solo strategist. Can’t wait to dive into the full game!! Lots of awesome strategist plays to come!
Funny how this character is considered 1 star by the devs, she is 3 stars at minimum, if not 4. Makes Ana from Overwatch looks mild in comparison, yet, NetEase alludes Mantis is supposed to be the Mercy of their game
@@RRRRRRRRR33 she’s fairly simple. I’d say 2 stars is fair just for the resource management aspect. Although I do think they under value the difficulty of supports
@@MaidJuno The cooldown management is pretty complex, harder than Ana imo, cycling between heal and buff damage + auto-heal and auto-buff, nonstop (while you can be erased in a second by dives). Then you have to hit headshots to restore cooldowns and be aware of that and react, the stun is hard to hit at distance, etc.. I like Mantis,, a shame her ultimate is so underwhelming. One of the weaknesses of this game, multiple ultimates that are just big circles of damage or healing. I was talking about this with a friend, former dps players from Overwatch will transition naturally to Rivals (especially if you play dive, which is my case), tanks will struggle a little bit, but supports will struggle a lot. Which is a bad sign, the Mercy and Lifeweaver players needs to be incentivized to jump on the bandwagon (dps Moira players will jump on Marvel Rivals for all the wrong reasons). Hence why it's a mistake to not include a character like Pixie to the starting roster (at least Jeff was a decent surprise, but he is also kinda hard to play. Pixie acting like a Mercy pocket healer clone would be the ideal)
@@RRRRRRRRR33Not to be rude, but Mantis is extremely simple to play. I would literally play her first game everyday as a chill, relaxing warm-up before moving on to the "higher skill" heroes. Nothing wrong with that, but saying she's harder than Ana is quite ludicrous.
@@RRRRRRRRR33 I understand where you're coming from, but she gets high impact even if you're not playing her optimally and her charges reload quickly enough even without getting headshots. You can just spam her heals and you'll still be useful on her. Imo Luna is the character they need to increase difficulty stars for because she has to aim all her healing while in a fight and running around aswell as priotising who to heal and when to deal damage. Her cooldown managment is super important too because an early burst heal or freeze can cost you a fight.
@@gabrieltalon Ana's cooldown management is less frenetic and the grenade + dart are easy to hit (used to be hard, but after the hitbox changes, Ana fires a brick instead of a dart). I think these characters are pretty close skillwise, yet, the devs consider Mantis a 1 star because her heal and buffs have auto aim
Your dps and tanks are bots they need to be on Jeff nd then they had the audacity to say I need heal I would’ve said I need y’all to do dmg Only time a push was made successfully when they were pressing the ult button trash tanks and dps
not someone saying "i need healing" when youre the only healer TT I feel bad for you
@@ceres5261 Used to it now after so much time playing supports. You can see me hesitating trying to stay civil though haha
The Strategist role is so fun to play, nice game

Pro tip: Don’t be afraid to do damage when mantis , her headshot damage is insane and the more headshots u get , the more healing you can output 👍🏾
@@SteevoTheGod I know this was from alpha and I was on high ping but thank you for the tip!
Whaaaaaaaaa Cartoonz in here too!?!?
Nice gameplay.🫧

How are you playing the game?
This is from the alpha. Just hadn’t gotten around to posting it

To be fair this was alpha so Jeff wasn't here yet and we were all still clueless haha, but yeah we definitely could've worked together a bit more
