I thought so too....traditionally one makes an 8 inch round Madeira cake; rest it; followed by the ice cream layers; followed by the meringue which you proceed to bake until lightly browned. But hey🎉 it's the 21st century and how you get there's not that important. Results speak loudly 🎉🎉❤
