Okka is amazing.. One of my favourite!
An outstanding Mezzo with so much power and expression - and what an overwhealming presence on stage! I had the chance to see her as Erda in Rheingold and Waltraute in Götterdämmerung - phantastic!
She’s lame and lacks clarity because of her undeveloped voice.
I´ve seen her on stage as well and did not experience any kind of "presence". In fact she felt insecure about what she was supposed to do and relied on good singing only.
Great voice, but she's a large-voiced soprano, not a mezzo. If she wants to sing mezzo roles, she might want to take a stab at Charlotte, Eboli, Carmen, and some of the Rossini. This lies a bit too low for her.
beat me to it
Beautiful video direction
Sehr schöne die Stimme Okka. Meine liebe und herzlische Grüße.
Marija 😘
(Mezzo)soprano
Spitze❤️❤️
Miscast here.
I prefer a contralto in this part with a darker more italianate voice.
This is not my fortune teller.
Lacks chestvoice and voice is thin an very far from an imposing Erda too.
Somehow a voice like Obraztsova´s gives Ulrica a specific demonic aspect. She was a mezzo herself but with that extremely dark and low register a perfect, if not unsurpassed Ulrica of the last 40 years.
@@Altonahh10
Fedora Barbieri & Oralia Dominguez or anyone with a solid chestvoice…
@@draganvidic2039 I mean, I get the preference towards contraltos, but both of those women were mezzos. Milla Edelman, Penka Dilova, Lilli Chookasian are closer to contralto.
impressionnant !
soprano sings Ulrica...of course it gets boring...
she´s a mezzo

She, you and ignorant people think so yes but…
Modesta... rispetto alla Moedl
@@catherinemorland7295
She sings Brünnhilde now so…
please hear to Parsi Pettinella or Minghini Cattaneo singing this scene, then come back to this and you will understant why this is completely shit
Thanks 😊
Barbieri also!
A little over the top. She's a soprano (though she designates herself as mezzo) singing this low role, so obviously she won't be as good as a genuine mezzo, but complete shit it isn't. Be thankful she isn't wobbling all over the place like so many other singers.

This is a contralto role
@@draganvidic2039 What makes it a contralto role? The tessitura is right in the ballpark for any genuine mezzo, and the G3 really isn't even that low. A genuine mezzo should be able to sing an E3, while a contralto a C3. Opera roles don't explore the lowest depths of women's voices, and thus many roles designated for "mezzo" are really just low-lying soprano roles.
