If i did meth once but say just confess that I "harmed my body with smoke" encompassing cigarettes too is that not enough?

Just tell him you took illegal drugs on one occasion. That's all you have to say. If he wants to know more, he'll ask you. I write all my sins down before I go and I even take a copy of them on paper to help me remember. I'm going to confession myself this weekend.
