We are Christians but my wife loves listening to your music. She listens to your songs everyday and her dream is to someday watch your concert. She is Asian and she speaks four languages but her goal is someday speak Hebrew so she can pray in Hebrew and sing your songs easily. We pray for Israel always. Baruch Hashem.

@@tubechick8 -- if their path has been like mine & many others -- it was love for Yeshua (Jesus) that first caused love for Israel & the Jewish people. :-) Judaism would require us to abandon Yeshua. So we stand close, but not inside the gate, and love from outside..... I am messianic, so I try to live as Yeshua the rabbi did. There are many like us.

No, we Jews do not consider Jesus to be the Messiah, but neither do we deny he existed or that he was a teacher of Torah, which is what a Rabbi is. We do not see our Rabbis as holy, just as experts in Torah, who can give us input on how we might live our very complicated and ever-changing lives in a way that is faithful to G-d’s commandments. So becoming Jewish would mean viewing the teachings of Jesus in a different way, absolutely, but I wouldn’t characterize that as abandonment exactly.
Our teachings say that that the Messiah (or messianic age) will arrive when when every Jewish person observes Shabbat the way it is meant to be observed for 2 Shabbats in a row. So maybe I’m the one holding up the Messiah’s arrival 😂. There is no actual requirement that the Messiah be a person-or even physical, at least according to the interpretation of Reformed Judaism.
If I understand the basic premise of Christianity correctly, then Christians believe Jesus was the Messiah and you are waiting for his return. Not so different from us, then, except that we’re still waiting for the first appearance. We can, therefore, help each other out by taking care to observe the Sabbath, right?
