- Installing a rear splitter piece to my 2021 Elantra SEL. fast forward to the end if you just want to see the results. I had to modify my mudflaps to fit with the splitter, but turned out pretty solid. stay tuned for the next video, I’ll have to get my aftermarket axleback exhaust modified for tip fitment with the new splitter.

I have install the light it’s super easy it’s a plug and play in the left taillight, the diffuser comes with a three way* to make everything work

Wow looks great! Can you pleeeeease do the LED taillight install? The one that runs across the trunk on the higher models.
There is a HIGH demand for that mod on Reddit etc. but no one seems to know how to do it.

I think it looks odd with the middle led and the stock side pieces since the led bar doesn’t line up to the other lights. I doubt I would replace all 3 because of the cost involved, but who knows down the line

Do you experience any sound from driving after installing this? Kinda seems like it would catch wind underneath despite all the screws…like a sail. Can you witness any pulling or separation after some time has passed?

Like the diffuser, did you use self tapers screws or was there actual mounting areas?
All self tappers into the thin plastic underneath, and some 3m tape

Where did you get the mudflaps? Hyundai official mudguards are smaller than that and severely overpriced, unless those are the Hyundai ones skewed from it being on video lol. Thank you if you respond!

Did you have to drill any new holes, or does this align and use pre existing holes?
You have to drill new holes in the plastic part of your bumper underneath.
just got this part, have no idea where to wire it. and did you use the tape they gave you?
In theory you’d want to wire into the brake lights. I didn’t do it for possible warranty reasons I left it as a dud light lol still looks good.
I may have used that tape, or the other 3m automotive molding tape I bought from autozone. (Can’t remember). I put a strip in the middle piece to help align it, but most the securing comes from the screws into the bottom plastic.
Do you know where I can find out how to wire the middle light? I just ordered this splitter and am definitely gonna want to hook it up. Love your content its been super helpful btw
Not totally sure! But I know in theory you’d want to wire into one of the brake lights. I just didn’t feel like messing with the wiring lol
Why would you not wire up the light. What's the point of it then.
Everything I have done to the car maintains warranty. With new car models, there’s usually kinks that need to be worked out. If I end up having a faulty tail light I don’t want the dealer to say I messed with the wiring.
I don’t need the light to function, I really wanted the splitter.

My setup is pretty tame, but sounds nice. Could definitely go louder depending on preference. I just found the sound of no muffler to be not my personal tone preference. The rear splitter looks great once you get the tips lined up, won’t interfere with your muffler setup at all. I had to uninstall my axleback temporarily since my tips would have been in the way.

I just bought this and a duckbill trunk diffuser for my 22 Elantra, I’ll have to find a body shop that does wiring but it looks really good 🔥

Mainly for warranty purposes. To keep the reliablility of my car for commute and trips, once I splice into wiring there’s a chance the dealer wouldn’t want to replace my brake light housings if they stop working.

Where did u get the aftermarket exhaust?
They don’t make any already made for these cars, so I had one made up. You can see the process in my older videos, the muffler shop had the magnaflow muffler and flange piece for me to make the new axle back. Apart from that I had them cut out my resonator and weld on a vibrant ultra quiet (ordered on Amazon)

@@jenuval2322 definitely not, it’s super calm inside the car unless you really get on the gas. It’s a perfect setup to make it sound good but not be annoying on long trips or commute. If it wasn’t my daily driver I would have probably went louder.
But now I have my Cadillac loud for the weekend drives 🤣
Wat gas do yu use
In this car I’m just using basic unleaded 87. It’s tuned to work best that way from what I understand since it’s not made for power.

At the lowest point in the center of the front splitter is just under 5 1/2” from the ground
