@@Tampafan33 It's the nature of CPU vs CPU Tecmo. There can also be wide open receivers 40 yards deep and they'll pass to a double covered RB 2 yards away. It's all RNG. Replay it a few times and you'll get the same result going the other way.

They used the week 1 AI. You don't see that kind of pass coverage late in the year. You're lucky to have anyone open. The computer run plays are scary AF too at the end of the year. If the Lions computer had 8 run plays to Barry Sanders you'd never beat them after week 10. He only had two runs. You'd call one and every time they called the other one it was a touchdown. That was week 1 AI all the way around.
Both on special teams, imagine how different this game could have turned out if the Bengals recovered those fumbles.....or if they could stop the pass rush (they gave up several sacks)......or if Burrow could've hit the broad side of a barn.
my buddies & I used to hold all-day and night Tecmo Bowl tournaments. It was fun and frustrating at the same time - the trash talking, mocking, celebrating. Watching this is raising my blood pressure, lol.

Well watching this video takes me back to the early 90's playing Tecmo Super Bowl on the Nintendo Entertainment System against my older brother. And if you had Bo Jackson on your team he was nearly unstoppable you had 1 hell of a time stopping him I swear the man the was nothing but a tackle breaking juggernaut.
