    Perfect video!
    * Short (kept my attention),
    * To the point (was able to focus)
    * NO BACKGROUND MUSIC (didn't get distracted, irritated, frustrated or stop watching)
    * Used simple language (communication)
    * Understood (was able to process info quickly)
    I constantly struggle with my ADHD. Communicating is really hard. I think in pictures/videos, so then have to convert these into explanations/several analogies. Even when writing this, it took over 30 minutes. At least I can share the video with people as its not all about how I communicate with others, it's about people understand how I communicate with them and the wider world.

    How can I put this into my everyday life ?
    Or at least how can I study better ?
    Because studying with ADHD is IMPOSSIBLE.
    I spend hours and hours daydreaming on my desk, without even knowing it.
    Only when for some reason I snap out of my trance, and look at the clock, I understand 2h have passed and I only read 10 lines of my maths book.

      And also the lectures from dr Brown and dr Barkley, two psychiatrists which came up with good models for understanding adhd are great.

    I have ADD and I'm finding out that writing down a task, with more steps than usual, is more helpful to me than simpler instructions. But, that's written down version, when its in my head everything collapses and there I would need simplicity. Sometimes I need the long written version to get motivated though.

    wauw this is amazing. It's exactly that! One moment it's all connected, I know exactly what to do and how to do it and why I need to do it. It's crystal clear and that feels great. And then it could be literally just an hour pass by and its ALL GONE. I can't retrieve the info anymore, i can't make the connections between things. Indeed very frustrating. I was working today, (i have an easy remote admin job working from home) and I was daydreaming as usual and thinking about what it was that I needed to do after work.. and I knew it precisely, it was clear. (creating an own strategy to deal with adhd symptoms) I finished work, took 30 mins break and now I don't know anymore what I need to do. I can't connect the pieces together anymore! And this happens all the time!!! :/

    Wow Susan. Thank you - Great illustrations. I've been trying to understand my frustrations and be able to describe what I go through every day. This video was a light. It accurately demonstrated how a simple task, in an ADHD mind, can easily become so complicated. It's exhausting to say the least. Most people with ADHD are very capable of doing whatever it is that needs to be done (especially with advanced thinking). What sucks is, ADHD is an invisible disability that needs accommodations, just like any physical disability. It would be awesome if it were obvious where the "ramps and/or elevators" need to be strategically placed so they can stay on track. Thanks for posting

    I had a big fat binder with every class labeled, and I always had a misc shit folder separate. Always need a misc shit folder, it makes life easy.
    Now as an adult I have a misc shit drawer that I organize maybe once every year.
    And I never get to my Mail. It just piles forever

    I feel so ashamed all the time. I'm always doing double of the work but it doesn't matter how hard I try, I still get half of "enough results". I'm learning how to drive and I didn't pass the parallel park part of the driving exam, I know all of the steps but I can't fucking align the stupid car with the stupid prototype, it's always too far or too close. I think I can do it with reversing driving but no one else does that. I don't know, I worked so hard, I did more than my best and I still wasn't enough. I'm tired, I'm so tired.

    Hi there! I have ADD. I have heard like a zillion times that there is a dopamine connection to the adhd challenges, but since when was the serotonin and nor epinephrine also related? I have never seen this information before...Also, is it true that we with adhd have smaller brains then the norm, and why is emotion regulation affected, and do we mature differently then others? (I was very early developed, but I read that science said we mature approximetly 2 years slower, or at least parts of our brain.) Is there anything wrong with our iron (fe) levels, or the way we process dopamine? I'm not sure where to get accurate information since a lot of info about ADHD is used for commercial purposes or are the results of shady, rather insignificant studies.
