@gotenks2304 For the apperation effect we used 3ds Max in combination with fume fx to create that smoke effekt. We used no Stockfootage or trapcode for that. :)
I´m quite suprised how many people have watched this so far... Especially because we shot this in 2 hours and did the visual effects in 3 days... the fourth was just encoding... Glad to see that even a bullshit-project like this can inspire people that much! :)

THAT was freaking amazing. Did you buy all those programs? After Effects and Fumefx and 3ds max? What is 3ds max? Did you create it all from scratch or did you use any stock footage? The sky effect and everything was just amazing, GREAT job. I faved and thumbs upped it. Would be awesome if you could message me and help me to start doing these effects. I'm a fast learner. Das ist brillant, aber als du die Expelliarmus und Avada Kedavra miteinander verbunden hast, hättest du einen Fan bekommen können oder so, dass die Haare der Schauspieler aus der Intensität der Zauber, wie im Kino, wehen würden (that was Google Translate, so it might not be quite right) This is brilliant, but when you had the Expelliarmus and Avada Kedavra connect, you could have got a fan or something so that the actors' hair would blow about from the intensity of the spells, like in the movies

Liked the use of Mosmorde although the skull was a bit cheap, the sound effects and the echo on the casting was really good.

We shot this at night. For the Light we used several floodlights like you can see @6:12min , for example ;)
