I recently wrote a ~2,000 word essay on how much your channel has meant to me and done for me over the years, and this return just feel so incredible.
You inspired me to become a musician and continued to inspire me to grow every step of the way as I went through grade school and beyond. I recently returned to college to get my bachelor's in Music Composition, and I can only hope to one day be as good of a musician and as kind of a person as you are. I agree about uploading without time constraints. Not giving yourself those deadlines will do WONDERS for your mental health.
Having composition credits under your belt and all the skills that come with it will only help you in whatever you decide to pursue later on! That's what is so great about it - we are allowed to experiment and try new things! Heck, I never knew I'd actually get a game dev job and I am super excited to my future as well! I also miss RUclips a ton which is why I am trying my best to still post covers when I can. I don't know if I would ever be able to fully quit YT because I've been doing it for so long!

I am glad to see that you are back! It is sad to hear there was questions about whether you are a musician or just a content creator. Social media is the only way I can feel like a musician, as a full time job, grad school, and kids does not allow me time to play gigs let alone practice my craft much. Glad to hear you're back - and here with a really insightful video! Your last video really made me think about what it means to be a content creator and create for a brand, and it's really interesting to hear from you one year later and see how much you've learned since then. I think I've also been feeling disillusioned by the idea of selling myself out or only being known for a brand, or how viable it is to make a career out of fan content. However, hearing what you learned from your hiatus reminded me that sometimes it's all worth it if it means touching more hearts with your own creativity and passion. Yet that is something that could only be learned from trying something new, so at the same time it really stresses the importance of simply stepping back and gaining fresh perspective.

I've been watching since middle school. Now I'm a sophmore in college and seeing you come back after your retirement made me really tear up man. I'm so happy for you Mr. Insaneintherain I've loved your arrangements for a long time and it's really cool that you have been able to explore and expand yourself as an artist over the years. I haven't watched your full video yet, but something I thought of was that I think even if you wanted to take multiple breaks/hiatuses from youtube again over the years it would be just fine! Part of being an artist is exploring new avenues, taking time to reflect, take in the world around you- you are a really creative person, so it only makes sense that you'd want to try new things and not just do the same stuff all the time! We gotta shake it up every once in a while.
And to any artist reading this, I hope you can take inspiration from this, to keep going, to not give up if you feel stuck, just have faith in the process. When you want to create, do it. If you need a break, take it. Nothing can take the artist out of you.

First off GREAT TO SEE YOU BACK! Absolutely love everything you do and glad to see you making content again. Also, the part where you're talking about "just being an influencer" is one of the HARDEST things to deal with. I deal with the exact same thing when it comes to photography. A lot of people want to discount you and your talent because they see you making content. But forget the fact that you are, in fact, actually good at the art you create. It's a hard line to ride making content but then also being an artist in your space. You do a fine job of it and your arrangements always sound amazing. Keep it up!!

Ya know I honestly thought this would happen... I truly think your love for video game music and video games in general would spark some interest eventually. I feel like you have such an incredible mind in the way of seeing (or hearing in this case) things no one else can and that allows you to really gain inspiration in the most incredible ways!!! I'm so excited to see what comes next and see how much you've grown with your arranging since I've listened to some of your official scoring work over the past year or so!!!
