There is nothing I don't love about Otis... every video is cherished! I rue the day I never get to see him fish scratch or take his naps. He fills my ❤
He's an incredible fisherman - I hope you get to see it sometime. He has this incredible patience to just sit and wait, and then when he does catch a fish, it looks completely EFFORTLESS. What a guy!
bears don’t really hunt for each other, besides mothers for their cubs. however, some may steal fish from other bears (a technique called pirating) or eat scraps. otis has found a good number of scraps, but he also has had plenty to eat from his own fishing! he is a wonderful fisherbear, we just haven’t seen him in action as much on the cams this year as he’s been off elsewhere the majority of the time :)

Are you kidding? Otis is the fishing king of Katmai. Besides his age, that is his claim to fame. The younger bears can't hold a candle to him. 😁

He looks really old. His fur doesnt look like its been tended to.
His nap bed is muddy, in spite of his leaf mattress. He will look better after some river fishin'! LOL
