Unpopular opinion... Sitara Devi was a very sloppy dancer. Her movements lack both precision and grace. It seems she just failed about and improvised in the videos I've seen of her.
@@rbanerji well, I think it's more about the style of Banaras Gharana. Even though it's sometimes seems kinda unstructured, it's typical on that style. Just check on Sudarshan Dheer here in this video, it differs a lot from the performances of the other dancers. Perhaps I'm overestimating her cuz it's from my gharana too, but it's the most I can think about it
My guru ji roshan kumari ji In the very beginning, doing footwork,, dancing as radha in radha krishna gat bhav,, Doing solo 15 beat cycle in purple dress.. The very first presentation of shiv stuti in orange sari and solo teentaal in pink and violet is by damyanti joshi ji Sudarshan dheer doing solo Kaaliya mardan..and dancing as krishna with roshanji. And that lucknowi dancer i forgot. I dont think she is damyanti ji. And of all of them My guruji is still alive Dr roshan kumariji
