    Looking at the Oilers and Panthers D-men, Leafs are a long ways away from having a solid D core.

    • @kevinwobschall541
      @kevinwobschall541 3 месяца назад +5

      The oilers have 2 guys I’d love, but they also have Ceci and Nurse. Their defence isn’t really better, they just get to play the LA Kings, Canucks without a goalie and caught fire in the WCF
      They don’t play Boston or Tampa every year remember
      That being said. Looking at Florida’s D core, leafs need to build the back end so bad

    • @DavidMartinez-q6y
      @DavidMartinez-q6y 3 месяца назад +4

      Edmonton has garbage D. They had a decent playoffs, but they were carried by the offense and the forward depth. Nurse and Ceci are shit. Bouchard doesn't play D. Ekholm is the only good defenseman they have. The Leafs are closer to Edmonton. And they will get better. Much better.

    Why would the Jets take that deal? They don't need a 3rd line center or washed up player. The only thing is ok, but its late 1st and Jets don't need picks. Handing out scrap for a top prospect. Dream on.

  • @ardenherman4176

    Leave Minten off any trades . Here is a young forward that has to be given a chance at 3rd line centre or even maybe 2nd in a few years. Tired of leafs drafting and sending guys out without giving them a decent look.

  • @robertstanford1778
    @robertstanford1778 3 месяца назад +8

    Robertson will never be a consistent top line player. He is just to easy to move off the puck and that would be amplified at playoff time. Minten could prove to be a very good 3rd line player for years to come that could even take on 2nd line minutes in a pinch. I would be more inclined to move Robertson and maybe Liligren and the pick for McGroarty. Justbwary about losing Minten, who could become a great shut down guy with offensive upside. Definitely tome.for Robertson to move on though.

    Not willing to part with Minten if Im the Leafs. I'd be more willing to do Liljegren and Robertson plus the 24' first round pick for Mcgroarty and the 37th pick.
    Jets need D and Liljegren is more than serviceable they would also get a scoring winger which they could need if they are trading out Ehlers, and then they are moving up 13 spots in the draft.

    Couldn’t care less about the Leafs if they don’t make Al least 8-110 new moves. To go Marner, Samsonov, Reilly, Reeves, just to mention a few. 7 new guys behind the bench means nothing, how many coaches and personnel have we had. We need great goaltending, players with grit and experience on defence and offensive players who are more than just seasonal players. But, this organization is notorious for making bad trades. I saw the Leafs win 4 Cups with 1 coach ( so I know what it takes to win a team effort, great goaltending, sold strong defence, an offence that plays tough all season an in the playoffs, momentum , luck and coaching that keeps
    the positive energy and criticism in abundance) in a
    league full of Hall of Fame players.wil it happen again. I
    in a league of this size, with free agency , RFA and salary caps,the window to produce a winning combination. to win the toughnesses yropy in spotrt. Is very small. They could n’t even come close with their ‘core four’ (which I hate that they promote this idea, it is a team effort) has been beyond disapdointing. And now the tea needs major surgery. The overpaid players have been a major disappointment in the playoffs to say the least. Will the Leafs ever win a Cup again? Any realist wil know there are 6-8 teams year after year better than the Leafs year after year, Boston, Vegas, Tampa, Rangers, Carolina, and Florida and soon Ottawa just to mention a few. It will take some new great acquisitions and proof thisteam can play consistent and positive gritty hockey during the season and playoffs to change my mind about there future Stanley Cup success.
