    LEVEL ONE FOR BEGINNERS: I recommend the 12s or 14s. This may seem long but they are easier and look better. Longer lashes are easier to get on and they open up your eye. Short lashes are difficult and have a stumpy effect. They also fall off easily. The beginners glue is calailis glue. It is a dry bond that will grab the lash for you. The level 2 bond is SUPER STRONG HOLD GLUE and it is a tad wetter and will last longer. I consider the lilac street bonds all level 2 compared to CALALIAS bond. The lilac street kit is a great way to begin and try again, but the CALAILIAS bond will be what helps you keep the lash on in the beginning. LEVEL 3 bonds. All of lashifies products and flutter habit bonds are advanced bonds for over 10 days.

      After watching this do you think it was your glue? What lashes were they?

      @@BrandiSharp I think it was my glue process. I only applied one coat and didn’t let them dry before I pinched them. I have to be more patient. I live in rural Iowa so I feel your sense of “rural”. lol. I lived in Minneapolis for 30 years and retired here. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thank you. 💜💜Paulette

    Brilliant suggestions! You are spot on with people learning best from mistakes! Everyone of your hacks addresses every mistake I was making. I consider myself a pretty decent DIYer and lash extensions have had me stumped. It seems my main issue is that I don't have sturdy enough lashes, particularly on my right corner, to give the extension enough "property" to grab on to....? I will purchase your recommended glues, go with the longer and thinner lash and do the triple bond method. Fingers crossed!!! Glad I found you!!!

    I’ve been using lilac st for about a year now…started with the original glue and now an graduated to the clear pro glue but honestly from what I can remember they both have the same issues and seem to be the same formula minus the different brush. For me the worst part is that the glue gets chunky and stringy in just a couple months and needs to be replaced. I’ve been presently using a few month old glue that has completely made my life miserable with application, wear time, removal and overall I’m about ready to give up on it and have been looking for other options. My other issue with their glue is that using too much or even when it starts getting thicker over time, the build up is a PITA to the point to where the lashes are not worth saving or trying to clean anymore which is unfortunate given that one set is now $11 and only lasts me about 2-3 days max. Another reason for this is that the chunkyness of the glue causes annoyance and I can feel the lashes more since the residue is heavier and I start to pick at little chunks of build up ultimately pulling off the lashes earlier than I would like. Anyways all this to say I’m wondering how the 3 layer method works for you given these issues as I was starting to consider using even less glue to remedy that?

      That is the glue I currently use. I do not use lilac streets glue any more for many reasons. Many are still loving it and that’s great.

    Thank you sooo much - I just ordered lilac lash kit and I cant wait to try it out!
    I have a question: every lash DIY kit instruction applies the lash clutters to the bottom of your natural lashes. I also have super downturned lashes, and I worry applying them to the bottom of my natural lashes will make the lash clumps point downward where they'd be more upturned if I apply them above my natural lashes. But I haven't seen any tutorials that apply them above the natural lashes. Curious why that is and if there are any cons to applying them above vs below extension.

    • @BrandiSharp
      @BrandiSharp  10 месяцев назад

      They can last a very long time being applied underneath. That is the biggest benefit Vs the strip lashes applied above. Use the lash curler. The bond also really helps keep your lashes curled! It’s such a great hack! I’ll share the video! Thanks for your comment and watching. Xoxo

      Thanks for sharing! Good to know bonding under the lashes makes it last a lot longer. If you've ever experimented with putting the clusters above the natural lashes, does it open up the eye more than under the lashes? Or the look is about the same? Ill definitely try the lash curler hack - love that it helps lift the eye and have the bond last longer at the same time. @@BrandiSharp

    I've been using LASHBASE and it's a professional artist lash quality. I use the PROeffects lash ribbons and they literally feel to the touch like natural lashes. They don't look anything like plastic. I also use lashlinx which offers such a massive variety. I purchased SOOOOO Many DIY lashes until I found these 2.

With common mistakes and tips to keep your natural lashes from falling out. I’m in that sticky 6 month window you mentioned - definitely new to this and I have found that my natural lashes are suffering. Thanks!

      I have not found anything that removes the lashes as good as Lashifys remover. I’m actually going to say it’s imperative you buy it to 100 percent remove with no damage. I have had a couple incidents of not removing properly myself. I just bought a new cheap remover and I paid the price again! 🥲 #lessonlearned

      @@BrandiSharp I haven't tried Lashify's remover so I can't compare, but Lilac Street's remover works really well. I've also used miceller water, the formula for waterproof makeup, and it works really well for me.

    So I use Lilac St and I feel like the application is great and the lashes will stay on great until I wash my face and my eyes specifically. I do use a cold cream make up remover so that’s probably it but I feel like I need to use it to wash off my eyeshadow but then the lashes will just come right off. What do you recommend using to wash your face/eyes and lashes when you have lashes on and want to keep them on? The longest I’ve gone so far is about 5 days

    • @BrandiSharp
      @BrandiSharp  Год назад

      Use a tool to get off your makeup, like a cotton swab or Q tip. Be super intentional about not touching them. If your wanting longer wear also start laying your bond. In my videos I layer 3 times, you could do more and get a thicker bond that equals longer wear.

    • @BrandiSharp
      @BrandiSharp  Год назад

      Yes I completely understand. 12s will stay on longer than 10s. I recommend also curling them with a lash curler once dry. They won’t hit your glasses as much.

    • @lorriangus

      @@BrandiSharp I recently got a lash from Lilac Street (Feather) that is curled a little more, I might be able to wear a 12mm in that one with my regular glasses. It's between a C and a D curl. I do have one pair of glasses that I can wear 12mm lashes with (I have 5 pairs). I don't want to go too much longer because I don't want my lashes crawling over my eyebrows. 😄
