- A MUST DO UPGRADE in my opinion! chrome delete with 3M vinyl. Chrome is so 2000s era for car design… a delete easily enhances your vehicles look.

No gloves or extra tools needed
Rubbing alcohol $1-3 at any pharmacy or some grocery stores. Scalpel optional. Just had it. Blade in the kit is fine. Microfiber towel for cleaning.

Got the 2024 in December and want to do a chrome delete was thinking of doing gloss black seeing this has changed my mind from glossy to matte black and given me the confidence on doing it myself. Thanks 👍🏾

Another great upgrade! I definitely would be interested in seeing the fog lights. That’s one of the things I miss from my old cry. I didn’t know that the hybrid had its own all weather floor mats. I transferred my from my old ones into my hybrid.

Thanks for the video. I have the same CRV in Radiant Metalic Red. People are asking about a video on Fog Lights. I dont believe there is a Honda accessory for Fog Lights on a 2023 CRV. ???
Theres no honda accessory correct.
I have purchased 3rd party accessories.
There is a slot for fog light switches left of the steering wheel however. 2 blanks.

I think its certain models. Just depends where and when it was made. Only way to know is if you get a letter.

I wash at home. No machines. And mothers gold spray wax. And armor all tire shine!

Currently averaging 38.3 MPG! Previous was 36.1 🎉. Hopefully remains that way. Ill know after a few tanks.

3M is amazing quality. So i would expect it to last a long time. It wouldn’t take too long to replace if needed as well. I wouldn’t trust other brand vinyls.
Looks awesome. Good work. Question- I have the hood deflector too. Ok to go through a car wash? One of those new carwashes, you buy a membership for 25 bucks and can use it once. day. they seem to be gentle with cars. Used it on. my last one. was fine. Just worried about the deflector. thoughts?
I guess it depends which way their brushes are spinning. against the opening wouldnt be great.. on another note, don't take your new car into a automated washer! might as well wash it with sand paper XD. micro scratches for days... :(

I had it installed at the dealership. But it doesn’t seem to complicated to install. Some cheaper online dealership Links in bio if you want to order.

Found the headlights good, except for rainy nights as you said. Still miss fog lights. My 2018 crv is awesome at night with all those super bright amazon led lights lol

@@DrHondaCRV I'm going to add caps to improve visibility of ac vents, 304 stainless mirror finish license plate holder, remove dealer stickers, do led rear blinkers, maybe replace the horn. Waiting on the good weather tech mats to come out, bought the rear cargo cover and partially ruined due to wrong placement... Which by the way, what a waste of money considering people can still see your trunk from that rear little side windows...

@@DrHondaCRV The rear led replacement are 7440, so easy to replace, two screws the housing pops out.

I don't know you, but I do absolutely all my maintenance, my car will never ever see a mechanic, and I found the location of the engine filter to be the worst ever imaginable. All the way shoved in the back between fuel and brake fluid lines. So hard to take in and out. Cut myself I don't know how many times lol. Of course Honda uses those nasty oiled engine filters, so I ordered an aftermarket one. Those oiled filters are truly bad for sensors and will eventually create an oily film everywhere the air goes after that.
Also noticed that I have to remove the entire door to replace the cabin air filter, but it is super easy anyway. The door just doesn't go far down enough otherwise.

Hate the way washer fluid comes out, plus we don't have any indicator light for low fluid as Canadian versions. So you can't see the fluid, neither know when it's low. Freaking bizarre.
Then it was a great surprise, that even if crappy, you can use the fix and go compressor to fill your tires. Threw away the liquid fix, but nice to have the compressor hidden like that, and for free.
I kinda like the idea of the hood deflector but it seems like it would be a difficult to wash the car - do you take it off or just work around it?
Easy to wash around it! Stays on
What i gotta ask is, how does the ACC work on this ? Can you set the adaptive cruise when you get stuck in traffic and going at 2 mph or it needs certain speed to turn on adaptive cruise ? And what about cruise what speed above you can set cruise on ?

Question for you, when you say you need both what do you mean by both? Is one window trim kit wider? I bought a 25 foot one and a 50 ft roll

On the back window 2x5 size is it matte black or deep matte black?
Another question, can you give some pointers on how you did the wider curved part of the trim? I'm assuming you used a heat gun to get it to bend ? Thanks
I used a big sheet for that part. And cut it out once i placed it on top. Not the easiest part. Bending doesnt work too well at 90deg

Did you choose Meteorite Gray color or would you rather Crystal Black Pearl?
Im all about metorote gray. My old car was Black and it shows microscratches easily

How did you do the hyperdip on the square grills on the front bumper? Did you pop them off or mask and paint them as is?
And did you also do the same for the ones at the back bumper? Or would there be an issue with having an exhaust in one of them?
Just mask and paint! im doing the back ones soon. the exhaust doest touch it so its fine. the pipe is behind
@@DrHondaCRV Thanks! I saw your latest vid and it looks great so I want to try to delete the chrome on my red one as well. I noticed that some people use hyperdip or plastidip on the chrome of their windows. Any reason you used tape instead? The tape is harder to get here than hyperdip but just wondering if there's anything in particular with the cr-v that made you use tape instead.
@@mauz30 So the dip isn't as durable. especially in high use areas. I honestly thought applying the tape was easier than the hyperdip. a lot faster too. logo i used paint because it was too intricate for vinyl tape, up to you!.

Idk. Half the people in this state don’t have one regardless of the requirement. And I’ve driven by officers too.

How did you do the last section of the window? I’m having a hard time tucking the vinyl in that section. The rubber trim seems much stiffer in that area.
So i used the 2x5 sheet in my description. I covered the whole window with it.
Then did a rough cut carefully. Making sure not to cut the paint. Then a finer cut along the edge. I kept pushing it down with my hands to find the edge crease. If you accidentally cut short use a heat gun to stretch it out.

@@markofthekings one was enough. I cut it in half. You have to angle it just right.
I find it so annoying having ugly chrome on cars, the manufacturers don't have the choice as the suppliers make the trim, your car is my dream maybe next year I can get one
How did you do the chrome around the quarter windows
The second link in the bio for chrome delete is for a large sheet vinyl. I placed it over the whole window. Then cut it carefully with a razor blade right at the borders .
