Creamy Jalapeno Sauce;
1 cup real mayonnaise
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup sour cream
1 jalapeno
1-4 oz. can chopped green chiles
1/3 cup chopped cilantro
1-1 oz. packet of dry ranch dressing mix
2 cloves minced garlic
Place all ingredients in blender and process until smooth.

My Grandma's Dinner Rolls
-1 Cup warm water
-1 tablespoon dry yeast
-1/4 cup sugar
-1 egg
-2 tablespoons soft butter
-1 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/4 cups flour
Mix water and yeast in mixing bowl and let yeast activate. Mix in all ingredients except flour and blend. Add flour and mix with dough hook attachment until dough comes away from bowl and forms ball; knead for an additional five minutes. Cover bowl with cloth and let rise until dough is double in size. Divide dough into 16 pieces and roll into balls. Place on greased 13x9 inch pan. Cover with cloth and let rise for about 45 minutes. Bake in pre heated 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Rolls should be golden brown. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and brush on top of baked rolls.
John Wayne Casserole
-2 pounds ground beef, browned and drained
-1 onion diced
-1 packet taco seasoning
-1 16-ounce can large biscuits
-1/2 cup sour cream
-1/2 cup mayonnaise
-4 ounce can diced ortegas
-16 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
-2 medium tomatoes, sliced
-1 (4-ounce) can sliced Jalapeno peppers
Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a 13 x 9 inch pan spray with cooking spray and line with flattened biscuit dough. Bake 15-20 minutes, until dough is lightly colored. In a frying pan brown ground beef, and onion. Add 1/2 cup water, and taco seasoning. Simmer for 15 minutes. In bowl add sour cream, 1/2 shredded cheese, and green chiles. To assemble; take baked biscuits out of oven, layer meat mixture, then sour cream mixture and then top with sliced tomato and pickled jalapeno. Bake about 20-25 minutes more. Remove from oven and top with remainder cheese, return to the oven until cheese has melted.

Thank you, I try and buy meats on sale for the freezer so I never pay full price and keep the pantry stocked from our trips to the city where we can get better deals. Our grocery store here is crazy expensive....I honestly don't know how young families do it! Food prices were unbelievably cheap when our boys were little, but they keep soaring every year. Ken and I read an article in Forbes magazine and another in Money magazine about 8 years ago that said food prices would continue to rise globally to about 40 percent of ones income. I thought it was a mis print when I read it, but it is starting to come to fruition. Prices go up and the box sizes keep getting smaller. I opened a box of cereal that was 1/4th full and shook my head. I started my channel so my boys could learn to cook, buy in bulk and stock up on sales ect, But along they way I met all of you and I love how we all help one another with our ideas and encouragement, because it is all about making the best home we can for our family. Hi Leslie everything looks different from the clouds. I really like King Arthur and White Lilly flour, and buy in bulk. BUT the Aldi's flour seemed to be just fine, my Grandma's dinner rolls were yummy. It seems like this summer is just flying by, I have not tackle as much on my to do list that I have wanted. I guess I need to peddle faster hahahaha

I would definitely say come during leaf peeping time.. fall time. It’s beautiful! We have so much to offer here but a few of would recommend would be mass moca in north Adams.. we have a few apple orchards. We also have the Norman Rockwell museum. There’s just too much. Anything you guys decide on will be fun I’m sure of it. We are rich with history.. I hope this helped.

Our next door neighbors were Filipino and were such a lovely family. We have eaten many times at there house over the years, their Grandma was such a good cook. He might like that Kalua Pork and girl it is easy to make. :D SHelby
