The 4ocean Mobile Skimmer
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 8 сен 2024
- We are stoked to present the 4ocean Mobile Skimmer! We custom manufactured this vessel to expedite the process of collecting accumulated plastic out of the ocean. We've been testing the vessel locally, and are excited to deploy it at our international locations where it can have the most impact. The Mobile Skimmer will have a crew member dedicated to monitoring the conveyor to ensure that organic matter and sea life are returned to the ocean before making its way to the super sack. While we know producing these machines won't end the ocean plastic crisis, it will do a great job at combating the plastic that already exists in the high impact areas in which it will be deployed and help raise awareness about this global problem. Stay tuned!
For any information requests on the Mobile Skimmer, please reach out to 4oceantech@4ocean.com

Finally, about time humanity made something that helps the environment.
Correct
Does it run on gas? Lol
They did not invent it and people already use it for a similar reason
That is true. Trash skimmers have been around for a few years now. Ours is being modified to work on high impact locations and to work based on the process we've determined works best.
@@4Ocean yay that means we can save endangered species 😆😆😆😆
Hopefully these vessels get mass produced through out the world.
Yeah then we don't have to worry about all the plastic we drag home from the store.
Mr. Blue . Vids i am gonna be honnest I thought 4 ocean was a scam but now I think they are genuinely trying to clean the ocean
This machine doesn't "work" in real life. They even say so. The organic matter cannot be removed. We can build passive collection systems for floating debris. The hurdle is separation of marine life and organics before the plastic is removed.
These vessels are already mass produced and used through out the world. They are called aquatic weed harvesters. Used to clean areas of sea weed. It’s not custom made for anything. It even says in the video it collects to much organic matter. That’s because it is designed to collect organic matter. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquatic_weed_harvester
Gus Look , you shouldn’t even buy products that have tons of plastic, cause you know that factories that make disposable products create a lot of pollution, and you are basically making these companies always work, sorry i got so mad at your comment.
If I get to drive this thing around I would 10000% volunteer for it! 🙌🙌🙌

I suggest putting a high frequency speaker under water to scare any wild life away, some type of aquatic alarm so that live animals dont get sucked up into it?
We appreciate your suggestion and there will be two individuals running the vessel at all times. One person driving the vessel, and one sorting through the collected materials as they come up and over the conveyor belt to return seaweed, any sea animals, and organics that do not belong in the super sack.

Finally someone how cares about the oceans. Thank you.
Well someone will have to pick it up on your behalf....
They care about getting paid to make it look like they care about the oceans dont be fooled. For them its free raw materials to sell cheap bracelets on social media. If they really cared theyd buy some of the excess recycled material that ends up in landfills to make bracelets and recover the cost through sales.
Mike DiDio so you’d rather plastic stay in the ocean ?
noah moloney it goes right back in the ocean
Not untill we change. If we replaced plastic with either biodegradable stuff or fish food substance, we might be able to save this world. A Florida man made fish food things (can't remember the name of the thing). If we just follow that idea and spread it around the world, we would be able to save this planet.

Why would someone dislike this, they are trying their best
Are y’all two serious? Who cares if they want money. They probably just did more to clean the ocean in this one video than you’ll do in your entire lives.
In the short time that we've been in operation, we've pulled over 6.8 million pounds of trash from the ocean and have been covered by the CBS Morning Show, the Today Show, Forbes, and CNBC. We're also audited quarterly by the BBB to make sure that we're holding true to our one-pound promise and have invested heavily into 4ocean technologies like our new Mobile Skimmer. If you have any questions, feel free to reach back out, we're always happy to help!
SidDaSlothMan I never said they didn’t care about the environment. In fact, I mostly support what they are doing. I am merely stating why I believe some people would dislike the video.
jordan you said that their incentive is money which implies that they’re not doing what they do specifically for the good of the environment. Forgive me for misinterpreting but it really sounds like you’re needlessly complaining over the fact they’re not non-profit.
@noah lawrence you know how much fucking money these things cost (they dont get the money from taxes) im a mechanic and by understanding the build i can tell you it is NOT cheap, they might make money, however they are cleaning the environment a ton and saving marine life, what about the clothing companies you probably cave into that dont use the profit to build more machines to help this cause, im almost positive that they use the money to build more of these and work on new ones to help the environment.
“You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”
Probably the size of The Titanic
They're starting small first then maybe soon to reach a bigger vessel. Like they said modifications, improvements and changes will make things grow better.
@RLo You've got that right! We will never stop investing in new technology and innovations to put an end to the plastic pollution problem altogether. 🌎
I think they have the right size. Bigger boats more fuel more cost to maintain harder on the environment. Hard to store I think the smaller boats is a better way to go
@CurtisPearson Thank you for the positive vibes, we can't wait to see how much this new technology helps our daily operations. 💪

There's a lot of suspicion regarding 4ocean's claims and promises. A lot of what they do appears to be for the publicity and not so much for the environment.
@SqueezyCheesy We understand that a large majority of the population isn't aware of the severity of the ocean plastic pollution crisis. That's why along with cleaning the ocean, our mission includes educational campaigns so we can spread more awareness of the issue. Change begins with education and we won't see changes from industries or governments until the the general population takes a stand.

I think too big cleaner and you might start picking up big marine life. I think it might be better to have one's this size or a little smaller but design them like Roomba's that are autonomous and have a big mother ship that can deploy them. That way they can go out, fill up on garbage, unload on the mother ship and back at it again.

The private sector cleaning up the environment. Love it
It only gets better from here my friend.
See, THIS is exactly what 4Ocean should be known and admired for! A private company which acknowledges the fact that, realistically, the environment can only be saved if the free market creates those jobs. Sad to see some folks label such initiative a "scammy charity". If anything, regard it a "charitable business" - and an insanely good one at that - as opposed to many other businesses out there!
We're hoping to inspire others to bring a business solution to the issue of plastic in our oceans. It'll take a 360 approach involving NGOs, governments and the private sector to clean up and turn off the tap of trash flowing into the ocean. All of us have a role to play.

We've invested into creating this revolutionary ocean-cleaning technology because it's going to speed up our cleanup process and allow us to collect more trash. It does have an EPA-compliant fuel tank system and we are on track to be carbon-neutral for 2019, just as we were for 2018.
@C B What are you doing to help clean up the garbage? At least they're doing something.
You guys are amazing thank you for so much tiding up plastic
Lachie Speers I know there great
They only pick up trash because we buy bracelets
This helps, sitting on a road blocking traffic doesn't thx guys for this awsome work!
The United States should fund 4ocean for more equipment to clean the ocean . And not try to take advantage of you business. Great work! I wish I can work for 4ocean
While there is a pivotal role for government to play in the ocean trash crisis, we're proud to be bringing a business solution. With that, our aim would be for local governments, communities or associations to see the value in having the Mobile Skimmer keeping the water clean and are open to discussing with any and all. Until then though, we're stoked to be bringing this new technology to high impact regions in Haiti and Bali in the near future.
Nice to see a step in the right direction! Sadly alot of the plastic is underwater, but still a very good way to clean the top layer!
Why isn’t there more companies just like this🥴
$$$$$$$
maybe look up TheOceanCleanup
@@DaOneJoel this company is one of them
This is a great step forward in dealing with a REAL global problem as opposed to imaginary global warming.
Add an hydraulic compacting unit to optimize the super sack. Great design BTW
Hey there Fred, that's an interesting suggestion! This is the first version of the Mobile Skimmer so it will absolutely improve over time.
@@4Ocean You all ready have the hydraulics onboard. Shouldn't be hard to implement.
Beautiful Job Guys 🤗🌻🌹🌳🌿
Satisfying and good for the ocean- I’ll take it!
At last! A machine that helps the environment than harms. Thank you, thank you for this
