- I'm back and had a great time at the San Francisco Pen Show in August 2024. In this video, I'm sharing my experience, who I met, what I did, what I learned, and what I bought and received. In short, I had a blast.

I am disabled and have no community or family near me, I am a pen collector, am over 50 and have had a fountain pen since I was 16. If I lived nearby, I would have joined you to do pen things and colouring and waterolour painting things with you!
You are so blessed you got to go to a pen show. I don't think I will ever get to go to a pen show because I am disabled, have degenerative spinal disease and am waiting for funding for an electric wheelchair, then will need to buy a new vehicle and modify it so that I can go to a pen show as I cannot walk long distances, like even a mall. I can visit prople and walk around the house, but thats it. So it was so interesting hearing about your experiences at the pen show. What it was like for you, talking with Jonathan Brooks about how he pours his Koi blanks, I would have loved that! . I agree with you about the first pen you bought.
The one that also came in that pinky peach colour with all the sparkles. I loved that pen more too. I have always wanted a Carolina Pen Co. pen by Jonathan Brooks, I love the sparkles in his pens. I love fine sparkles in any fountain pen, even Chinese cheapies, as long as they write .7mm a North American Medium or broad. You showed a pic of that pink version of your pen in blue and neon yellow, or green. I used to be like you very independent, travelling across my province alone with only a map, not knowing what town I was going to but taking my 12 y.o. daughter to an old fashioned barn party and where she got to ride a horse. We were tenting though in the summer heat outside.
Ah well, the sun comes out each morning, We have what we need and each day is new. Thank you so much for the ink sample giveaway. You are a very nice person to do that. Im glad you got to meet your discord people and pen people you knew like you. I wish we lived near each other. Ah well, I watch you when I can, and love seeing your ink samples, its a help in choosing new inks. I can't wait to see your reverse fude nib write! I too just bought Platinum black to use on an extra fine and fine nib for sketching and for lineart. I just havent researched yet how long before you clean the pen and how. I have never used a permanent ink before. I have things I would like to write in journals to leave for my 3 adult children and 4 granddaughters, age 10 down to 2 years old. I would like to use my more affordable pens and find permanent inks to use in colours I like. Not just black and blue. Ha e a great week! 💐💐💐

I have to say, traveling to a pen show with a camper sounds amazing, I am absolutely jealous. And getting to see the whales! I can imagine how magic it must have been

This was so much fun to hear about your trip. Your camping van at the beach was a great idea and the whale sightings were a great bonus. I'm glad you had such a great time and that you really enjoyed yourself. I think sometimes we get ourselves a little worked up about going to these kinds of events and then when we have a great time it makes it easier to do it again next time. I wish I lived near you, I'd totally meet up with you. Enjoy all your new goodies.

LOL You didn't lose me or my name! And it says a lot that you actually had no trouble with my real name (or anyone else's) rather than my username. 😍 It was so amazing hearing all about your experience, and it really reminded me of how much fun I had, as well. I also didn't take all that many photos in an attempt to stay really present, but I do wish I'd gotten a photo of us (and others I'd gotten to meet).
Also, I had no clue Primary Manipulation was a decade old! Whaaaaaat?! And I love the brilliant and brightly colored pens you brought home - they DO tell an awesome color story.

Your notebook screaming with doodle tears was my fav part so I’m glad you lost it (and it came back!).
That was so enjoyable and relaxing to watch. Glad you had such a good trip. I wish I had people to share my nerdy hobby with too. Love your new pen palette and the Chameleon ink looks cool.

I haven't finished watching the whole video yet, but I wanted to comment before I get sidetracked.
Your experience with the whales sounds so amazing and how you connected it with focus and mindfulness. In my experience staying focused when there are so many people around you is really difficult and actually takes practice on being mindful with everyday activities. It sounds though, that your life changing experience has helped you straight away. Thank you for sharing this!🐋🐳
Someday I'd love to go to a large pen show or any pen show 😂 seeing the whales was so serendipitous - what a joyful experience 🤍

Hi the p20 doesn't really pop on or off. But it if doesn't feel secure, it could be stretched out. Franklin christoph has a lifetime warranty (even if you are not the first owner). You can send it in

M20 and P20 are friction fit, like the E95S (though not as good). No sound.
