Good morning. This is so me. I will get up in the middle of nite to clean or decorate. I will change up my Christmas decor several times until it is just right. I am one to actually enjoy the holiday once it is over. This way I can sit and enjoy . Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I watched one on the kitchen just after you moved into Sugarwood and your decision to put two windows and the fireplace in the end wall was oh so right! Absolutely! I turned on NEFL when it was time to chop vegetables and lo and behold there was a new, completely unexpected video waiting to inspire me. And I really appreciate how Linda fully celebrates Thanksgiving without rushing into Christmas.

OMG! I was laughing out loud watching you move the Thanksgiving tree! I wish my kitchen was big enough for a tree. My food prep was completed yesterday. Today I will put together the sweet potato casserole and dressing and finish cleaning the house. My husband even brined the turkey which will be smoked early in the morning. Thank you for the video. I have Old Master by Towle and have always loved it and used it. We gave our daughter her silver flatware for their wedding present and they’ve hardly ever used it. They’ve been married 21 years! That generation doesn’t entertain like we used to

What a special, unexpected treat to see your video this morning! I love your Thanksgiving tree each year and so look forward to seeing it. (I particularly love your hunt tree, as well, so I hope you'll have that one with the foxes and hounds, etc. again. I took inspiration from that theme and will use the many horses/hounds/fox items I've had for years, and also have added to my collection this year to do my own hunt tree variation for my holiday decor.) I also have my mother's Towle sterling, which is the simple but elegant "Craftsman" pattern. We used it every day when I was a child, but I only use it now for special occasions. One of my first purchases as a young woman years ago was a set of Oneida stainless flatware (originally made in my native New York State) in the popular and classic "Paul Revere" pattern. I have inherited a few other sets of flatware that I use as the seasons and my table settings dictate, but it's so nice to have real sterling for entertaining. Thank you, as always, for sharing your lovely traditions, decor and recipes to celebrate my favorite holiday each autumn. Best wishes to you, your family and followers for a safe and very happy Thanksgiving!

Loved the story regarding your sterling silver flatware. My mother started me off on my Williamsburg Shell pattern by Kirk Stieff when she gifted my the hostess set. Over the years I accumulated a service for 12. I plan to pass it on to my granddaughter, Emma, one day as my daughter already her own chosen sterling flatware. Much prefer Canadian Thanksgiving date. I couldn’t cope with Thanksgiving so close to Christmas. Here Christmas is the big family event rather than Thanksgiving for most families.

My husband and I travel from the Lake Region of NH to Brewster, Ma. on Cape Cod for every Thanksgiving at my sister-in-law’s home. It is tradition for all the family members and their children who are mostly married now and some still single come with boyfriends! It is such a good time. Linda-l had to laugh! Up since 5, and busy doing, lit a fire and jar candle for company. Breakfast done, laundry in, hubby out splitting firewood. I sat down with my coffee for a break. Our gray cat is sleeping in her antique rocker. Already knocked a plaque of Queen Elizabeth off the hallway wall, didn't break!, my garland half fell away from the mantel. But when l saw the same dishes, and am using my parent's wedding silver tomorrow, the coincidences of it all got to be hilarious! Thank you, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! 🍁🍂🍁
