My Dad got a split screen in about 1960 had it fir about 5 years , it was a Martin Walter Work o bus with wooden slated seats , and windows . Dad cut the seat so the 3 of us kids could see forwards and used the rest of the seats for the garden , we had many happy camping holidays in it , i remember when he was buying it there was a newer one with the wide screen but i think the one Dad chose to have was because it had less miles . i Remember in the winter of 1963 ice fell from a tree and broke the left windscreen and Dad fitting a new one that had a gap in the rubber so water would drip in . many happy day in the CA outside pubs LOL
Love those old ca doormobile campers a work mate used to have a maroon and white one and a yellow and grey commer van camper and a landrover camper he went all over europe in them .
Would prefer to do that ( have help my Dad do one. ) , rather then have a new car with no spare wheel. Having to wait for recovery truck on side of the road.
Welcome mate, all the vans we work on get names,Gary's van is only with us for a short time before he collects it,so I just thought I would call it Gary... So you guys would know when I refer to it..

As i have the attention span of a goldfish i'm liking the short video.
Poor you 😞
That would be quite a job to remove the spare wheel, if you had too by the side of the road and added to the fact that it probably would be raining 😮

As I am new to the channel, why is Gary's van called Gary?
