English had a lot of idioms and phrases like this so I’m sure it’s difficult for non native speakers, best of luck to you. When I went to Japan, I ran into this problem many times, even when I understood what people were saying in the literal sense, practically it wasn’t understandable so I know how tough it is.

The thing about the show that messed me up in the beginning is David Schwimmer Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson play themselves but Vince Vaughn is side character name Freddy
A lot of them play fictionalized versions of themselves but some don’t, like Kaley Cuocco (she was an optometrist dating Freddy, Julie Bowen played a character, Lauren Graham played a character, Vivica A Fox played a character, Bill Hader played a character, then you have Michael J Fox, Seth Rogan, Lucy Liu, playing fictional versions of themselves. It’s what makes Curb so fun!
To b fair some of the more accomplished actors play side characters but their usually for multiple eps or at the very least a big focus of one, but it is strange that u have some semi successful people playing themselves yet some more accomplished people playing characters.
I think Vince Vaughn is known only in movies, and this is TV baby!
@TC-be7kx I've actually grown to like Vince as Freddie Funkhouser The Mattress/Hotel King he definitely brings it. The Perier water bit and Pirate Booty episodes were the best. Favorite Shirt and Snack bar killed it too
