  • Interview with Alt-J Drummer Thom Green, who talks about living with Alport Syndrome. This is part 3 of a 4-part series.
    Thom has a rare genetic disease called Alport Syndrome, which causes a decline in kidney function, hearing loss, and vision problems. He was on kidney dialysis for 4 years before receiving a kidney transplant. Dialysis and transplant patients often have dietary and fluid restrictions.
    Thom was interviewed at Madison Square Garden on March 30, 2015, by Kevin Schnurr, another Alport Syndrome patient and transplant recipient.

    Obviously no one his age is on dialysis.. Dialysis is hard. And people don't see how hard
